I tried my best to make a guide for levels 12-20. This guide is focused on questing rather than grinding, though some parts you may be asked to grind. Before we begin, it is a very good idea to download a couple of mods I frequently refer to in this guide:
Titan Panel: Great mod that allows you to keep track of your inventory, money, and experience easily. It also shows (X,Y) coordinates that are frequently used in this guide.
Mozz's World Map: Cool mod that shows unexplored areas of the map.
Quest Level: Mod that shows the level of a quest.
I'm going to take this part from Jame's guide because he does a good job of explaining it:
In case you don't know how to install add-ons, make a folder called Interface in your World of Warcraft directory (if it doesn't exist already). Then you open it and create a folder called Addons inside the Interface folder (if it doesn't exist already). Now every Addon you want to install goes directly into the Addon folder. For example you download and unzip Titan Panel, you drag the folder called TITAN PANEL (not Interface or Addons) into the new Addon folder you created. You restart World of Warcraft completely and it should be working.
If it isn't you might need to log out to your login screen and click on "Addons" in the left lower corner. Tick the box that says "Load out of date Addons". Relaunch WoW.
Let me say this now, you NEED bags and fast. Don't gimp, if you find a cheap 10 slot at the Auction House buy it. It will pay off in the long run. Always spend your talent points in what will give you the most dps (Warriors should go Fury/Arms, Priests should go Shadow, Paladins should go retribution/dps holy, etc.). If you followed my previous guide, the grab every quest no longer applies. Do only the quests I tell you to. Also kill anything along the way (yellow preferable, but 3-4 levels under are fine too). This is a great substitute to grinding because it's less boring than just staying in one spot and killing. Don't waste time on finding a group to help you with a quest. Most everything in this guide is soloable and those that aren't are easy to replace in terms of experience. Also in the town of Stormwind it is slanted to the northwest but I talk about it as if it weren't slanted. So whenever you're in Stormwind and looking at the map, tilt your head to the left. That should do the trick.
Here's a little color code for you:
Purple: Names of NPC's
Red: Names of Mobs
Teal: Areas (towns, cities, etc.)
Blue: Quests
Orange: Items
Green: Coordinates
Black: Starting of a new session/important Notes/levels
All these things will be colored so they're easy to spot and also bold.

1. Hearthstone to Thelsamar (unless you're here already). Get the quest [11] Thelsamar Blood Sausages from Vidra Hearthstove inside the inn. Get the quests [11] Rat Catching and [15] Mountaineer Stormpike's Task from Mountaineer Kadrell. Turn in the quest [10] Return to Brock to Brock Stoneseeker inside the most eastern house. Stock up on food, water, and repair.
2. From now on kill any Elder Black Bear, Forest Lurker, and Mountain Boar you see until you finish [11] Thelsamar Blood Sausages. Head directly west toward the edge of the mountain and you should see a kobold camp (26,42). Kill all the Tunnel Rat Kobolds/Foragers/Vermins/Scouts in the camp for Tunnel Rat Ears. If you didn't get 12 ears, don't worry.
3. Head north to another camp (24,31) and grind between the two until you do get 12 ears.
4. Now head slightly northeast to Algaz Station. Turn in your quest to Mountaineer Stormpike. Get the follow up [14] Stormpike's Order. Grind on kobolds or animals (preferably the animals for the quest) until you hit Level 13.

2. Head north back on the road until you come to a small fork with a dirt path leading southeast into the mountain. Take that path and you'll come to a large area of troggs (33,73). Kill the Stonesplinter Troggs/Scouts in the area until you finish [12] In Defense of the King's Lands, [14] The Trogg Threat, and ding Level 14.

2. Head back to Thelsamar and turn in the quests [11] Rat Catching and [11] Thelsamar Blood Sausages. Talk to the flight master and fly to Ironforge.
Sell, repair, visit class trainer, etc. When you're ready, head to the southeastern area of Ironforge to the Deeprun Tram. Before you get on the tram, talk to Monty and get the quest [12] Deeprun Rat Roundup. Equip the Rat Catcher's Flute to your action bar and use it on any Deeprun Rat until you have 5 following you (you can also cast this thing while running). Return to Monty and turn in your quest. Get the follow up [12] Me Brother, Nipsy. Get on the tram and ride it to the other side. Get on the middle divider and turn in your quest to Nipsy. Precede through the portal to Stormwind.
Welcome to Stormwind! Home of the sewer monster! Seriously there is a sewer monster here. Anyway you should see a Teal dot on you mini map. Head around the building and turn in your quest to Furen Longbeard. Head to the eastern end of the Trade District and up the ramp at the end. Get the flight path and jump out the opening. Go to the exit of Stormwind and into Elwynn Forest. We're going to make the journey to Westfall.

2. Head south along the road until you see another field to your right, Saldean's Farm, (56,30). Get the quest [15] The Killing Fields from Farmer Saldean. Go inside the house and turn in your quest to Salma Saldean. Get the follow up [13] Westfall Stew and [12] Goretusk Live Pie. From now on kill any Harvest Watcher, any type of Goretusk, and any type of Fleshripper.
3. Head north to the Furlbrow's Pumpkin Farm (51,22). Head to the house at the northern end and clear your way inside. Loot the watch from inside the wardrobe. Continue to kill Harvest Watchers and loot the Sacks of Oats until you get 8 Handfulls of Oats.
4. Head back to Farmer Furlbrow and Verna Furlbrow (59,19) and turn in both of your quests.
5. Go between Saldean's Farm (56,30) and Furlbrow's Pumpkin Farm (51,22) until you get 20 Harvest Watcher kills and hit Level 15 (keep 3 Okra, 5 Flasks of Oil, and 5 Hops if they drop which they should).

2. Head northwest until you get to Jangolode Mine (44,25). Kill Defias Trappers/Smugglers until you finish [12] The People's Militia and [15] Red Leather Bandanas.
3. Head west to the coast (34,21) where you'll find murlocs. Kill these until you get 3 Murloc Eyes.
4. Head east up the cliff where you'll find various Gnoll camps (36,29). Kill these until you get 8 Gnoll Paws and hit Level 16.

2. Head back to Sentinel's Hill and turn in your 3 quests there. Get the follow up [14] The People's Militia. Fly to Stormwind.
Sell, repair, visit class trainer, visit Auction House, whatever. Head to Cathedral Square and go inside the building at the northeastern end of it. Get the quest [15] Humble Beginnings from Baros Alexston.

2. Before you cross the bridge, turn in your quest to Deputy Feldon, get the follow up, and get the flight path. We're going to do a small leveling session here before going back to Westfall. Cross the bridge and get the quest [16] The Lost Tools from Foreman Oslow. Head left into the actual town itself. Get the quests [15] Elmore's Task and [18] The Price of Shoes from Verner Osgood standing outside of the stable. Next to the stable you'll find the town hall. Get the quest [14] Messenger to Stormwind from Magistrate Solomon. Head inside the inn and get the quests [15] A Free Lunch from Darcy and [15] Dry Times from Barkeep Daniels. Go upstairs and turn in your quest to Wiley the Black and get the follow up [18] The Defias Brotherhood. Head west up the hill and inside the first house you see. Get the quest [18] Redridge Goulash from Chef Breanna (from now on kill any Great Goretusk, Tarantula, and Dire Condor you come across). Now go on the first dock west of the bridge. Get the quest [15] Hilary's Necklace from Shawn.
3. Take a dive in the river. Swim east under the bridge until you find a Glinting Mud under water (33,55). If it is there, loot the necklace. If it's not there, swim west to another spot that it spawns (24,54). Loot Hilary's Necklace from it then swim to the southern shore.
4. Head southwest of Lakeshire on the other side of the river. You will soon come to various gnoll camps (18,64). Clear the camps, it's ok if you didn't get all your mongrel kills.
5. South of here you'll find Guard Parker. Turn in your quest to him. Get the follow up [15] Visit the Herbalist
6. Head east along the road until you see a dirt path leading south and east. Follow this until you come to more gnoll camps (29,83). Stay here until you complete [17] Assessing the Threat NOTE: Stay clear of the big camps, it will only end in tears.
7. Now grind on Tarantulas around this area until you get 5 Crisp Spider Meat. At this point I leveled. If you didn't you're not killing enough along the way so grind until you do.

2. Now we need to kill condors. These are a little harder to find. They are generally found south of Lake Everstill (46,76). They don't drop a meat very often but hopefully it won't take too long. Just kill other mobs while looking for them.
3. By now you should have 5 Great Goretusk Snouts. If not go grind on boars in the southern region of Redridge Mountains. They can generally be found anywhere here. When you're ready, return to Lakeshire. Before crossing the bridge, turn in [17] Assessing the Threat to Deputy Feldon. Cross the bridge and turn in your quest to Foreman Oslow. Head to the dock next to the bridge and turn in [15] Hilary's Necklace to Hilary. Go to the western end of the town and turn in [18] Redridge Goulash to Chef Breanna inside the big house. Now go to the side of the little house right out side and turn in your quest to Martie Jainrose. Get the follow up [15] Delivering the Daffodils. Head back to the inn and turn in your quest to Darcy. This should bring you up to a little less than half way to Level 18.

As soon as you cross the bridge, talk to General Marcus Jonathan and turn in the quest [14] Messenger to Stormwind. Get the follow up. Go to the outskirts of the Trade District (not to another district, but to the buildings outside the actual district along the canals) and to the most southwest building. Buy a Cask of Merlot from Roberto Pupellyverbos inside. Go to the Dwarven District and go inside the inn. Get the quests [20+] Oh Brother... and [18+] Collecting Memories from WIlder Thistlenettle. Go to the northeastern side of the district and get the quest [20+] Underground Assault from Shoni the Shilent. You should see a Teal dot on your mini map. Go inside the building where it's at and turn in your quest to Grimand Elmore. Get the follow up [15] Stormpike's Delivery. Sell, repair, visit auction house, whatever (make sure you have your 5 Flasks of Oil and 5 Hops with you). When you're ready fly to Westfall.

2. Head back to Gyran Stoutmantle and turn in your quest. Get the follow up [17] The People's Militia.
3. Make your way southwest, then west of Moonbrook to Dermont's Place (38,70). Make your way southwest, clearing defias along the way (at this point I leveled. If you didn't then you're not killing enough monsters along the way. Continue on because you'll be killing more though.).

2. We're going to be doing one more small session here before going back to Stormwind. Head back west out of the mountains and continue on to the shore. If you head slightly south, you'll come to the Westfall Lighthouse (29,86). There you'll find Captain Tealson. Get his 3 quests [16] Keeper of the Flame, [19] The Coast Isn't Clear, and [20] The Coastal Menace. Turn in [16] Keeper of the Flame immediately.
3. Swim to the shore and grind on murlocs there (35,86). Continue grinding until you come across Old Murk-Eye who patrols through the camps. When you find him, kill him and loot his scale. Then continue to kill murlocs until you have 7 Murloc Tidehunters and 7 Murloc Oracles.
4. Now you need to travel all the way to the north coast where we killed murlocs earlier to get eyes (34,21). Kill here until you get 7 Murloc Warrior kills.
5. Now head even further north until about (45,8 ). Here you will find Murloc Coastrunners. Kill here until you get 7 kills.
6. Head back to Captain Tealson and turn in your 2 quests, then hearth back to Sentinel Hill.
7. Head to the north tower and turn in your quest to Gyran Stoutmantle. Now fly to Stormwind.
Sell, repair, visit class trainer, etc. Now Head to Old Town and SI:7 at the southern end of it. Enter the building directly ahead of you when you go up the stairs. Once inside the main building, go up the stairs and take a left where you'll find Master Marthias Shaw. Turn in your quest to him. Get the follow up [18] The Defias Brotherhood. Go to the Cathedral Square, then to the northeastern house and turn in your quest to Baros Alexston. Make sure you have your Skin of Sweet Rum, Cask of Merlot, Bottle of Moonshine, and Keg of Thunderbrew Lager then fly to Redridge Mountains.
Cross the bridge and turn in your quest to Verner Osgood in front of the stable, do not get the follow ups. Go inside the town hall next to you and turn in the quest [14] Messenger to Stormwind to Magistrate Solomon. Get the follow up [14] Messenger to Westfall. Now go inside the inn and turn in [15] Dry Times to Barkeep Daniels. Now you should be about 3 bars away from Level 19, if not you need to kill more along the way. Fly back to Westfall.

2. Now start to make your way to Moonbrook, southwest of Sentinel's Hill (45,69). On your way down there, ask in general chat if anyone has seen the Defias Messenger. If you're lucky, someone will tell you if they've seen him or killed him recently. If no one responds or if he's been killed, continue to Moonbrook. He spawns at the eastern end of the town and patrols all around Westfall so looking for him would take long. Once you see him, kill him and loot A Mysterious Message.
3. Return to Gyran Stoutmantle and turn in your quest. (At this point I leveled. If you didn't, don't worry. Just do this next quest and if you still don't level, go grind on gnolls in the south). If you turn around you'll see The Defias Traitor with a quest (if he's not there, then someone is already escorting him so wait a minute for him to come back). Get his quest [18G2] The Defias Brotherhood. You need to escort this guy all the way to Moonbrook, but unlike most escort quests this guy runs. Now he's now Scandinavian athlete, but it's a lot better than walking. Once you get the complete message, return to Gyran Stoutmantle.
4. Turn in your quest to Gyran Stoutmantle and this should make you level if you haven't already. Get the follow up [22+] The Defias Brotherhood which is the main quest for the instance The Deadmines. Now head inside the tower and make your way to the very top. Get the quest [17+] Red Silk Bandanas from Scout Riell.

Caelestis’s Alliance Leveling Guide
Level 12-20
Introduction
This guide will focus on optimised questing. There will of course be some grinding but that is usually because this guide will let you visit a city every 2 level. Sometimes I also recommend that you grind in the end of the level (especially between every 2 level) this is because you’ll need new talents every now and then, so when you are at a boring grind session just remember that there is most likely a very xp given session around the corner
I’ve chosen to follow the same layout as Jame simply because it works (and overall, it helps people reading the guides if they all resembles each other).
Mods
Mods are pretty essential if you want to find places and track your xp/hour. I would recommend the following mod:
TitanBar – It got both logs and an xp/hour tracker
Dwarfs and Gnomes) Do the main quests in Dun Morogh, when done grind your way to level 12 (which is best done by killing Troggs). If you don’t like grinding then go to Ironforge, take the Tram (remember to do the rat quest, and take the follow up) and head for Stormwind. Upon arrival you should head for Goldshire where there should be plenty of quests.
Humans) Basiclly the same strategy as with Dwarfs and Gnomes, only this time you start in Elwynn Forrest (so you’ll just have to inverse the route). When you’re done with the quests in Elwynn you can choose to grind your way to 12 by killing the Gnolls in the southwest part of Elwynn or you can go to Stormwind, take the tram to Ironforge and then complete most of the quests in Dun Morogh.
Night Elfs) Night elfs is a bit more complicated as if they want to visit the other races starting zones it will have a lot of travelling involved. Night Elfs should be doing the quests in Teldrassil, when done, grind Bloodfeather harpies in northwest Teldrassil. You could travel to Dun Morogh as you will eventualy end up there no matter what (if you follow this guide, that is). Go to Darnassus, go through the portal in the middle of the city, take the boat or fly to Darkshore, take the other boat to Menethil Harbor and run from Menethil to Loch Modan (remember to take the Flight Paths) and then to Dun Morogh where you have plenty of quests at your disposal.
For a full guide about leveling in the Night Elf starting zone, I recommend Taralom's Night Elf 1-12 Guide http://www.wow-pro.com/node/960
Draeneis) Draeneis should have a fairly easy time getting to level 12 as they got two zones to quest in. Do the quests on Azuremyst isle, which should guide you to Bloodmyst isle. It’s a good idea to do these quests as the rewards, compared to those of all the original alliance races, are superior in every sense. Another possibility is to go to Eastern Kingdom, where you’ll be going later, if you are to follow this guide that is. To do so just follow the explanation I’ve given in the Night Elfs part as the only difference is that the Draenei boat to Darkshore is located just south-west of the Exodar, and not in Teldrassil.
Level 12
You should be standing in Ironforge, if not, get there by using one of the descriptions above. In Ironforge go to Tinker’s Town and get the following quest
[15] Find Bingles
Make Ironforge your home(get its flight path if you're Human or Night Elf) and then go from Ironforge to Loch Modan. Either fly (if you have the FP) or run. If you decide to run, you should run out of Ironforge and run east until you meet a gate (South Gate Outpost). Run through the tunnel connecting Dun Morogh with Loch Modan and then go north until you reach Thelsamar. Take the flight path.
In Thelsamar, get the following quests:
Then go south to Valley of Kings and get:
Then go north to log (26,58) killing every Spider, Bear or Boar you encounter on your way. When you arrive, slaughter the Troggs until you’ve completed [12] In Defense of the King’s Lands
Move further to the north to log (28,45) and kill Tunnel Rats until you’ve completed [11] Rat Catching.
Now go north to the north tower at log (28,18) and turn in [15] Mountaineer Stormpike’s Task get the follow up [14] Stormpike’s Order and [15] Filthy Paws. If you haven’t completed [11] Thelsamar Blood Sausages then go hunt for the creeps you need.
When done, run back to Thelsamar and turn in the quests. Then head to the Valley of Kings and turn in the rest of the quests and get the follow up (be aware that the follow up is not given by the same NPC as before. Look inside the tower and you should find it). If you completed [12] The Trogg Threat turn that in as well, if you didn’t complete it, you sure will in the next step.
That should make you ding 13 (or really close). If you didn’t ding start off the next passage by grinding the low level Troggs
Level 13
Now head north until you see a gap in the hills at log (28,65) Go through them and you should find yourself in a pretty Trogg crawled area. From here, go southeast to some hills that should crawl with Seers and Skullthumpers. When you’ve killed 10 of each and completed [12] The Trogg Threat, return to Valley of Kings and turn the quests in. Get the follow up [17] In Defense of the King’s Lands (located inside the tower) and run to Thelsamar. Repair and go north to Silver Stream Mine at log (35,18).
Go inside the mine and look for boxes stacked together labelled miner’s gear. This might be a hard part, but it is doable. Use bandages between every fight (unless you can heal) to minimize your downtime as the tunnel rats have a rather high spawn rate. When you’ve completed [15] Filthy Paws go back to mountaineer Stormpike and turn it in
You should be getting close to dinging 14, so go grind on either tunnel rats or Troggs… I’ll let you decide
. When you are level 14 fly to Ironforge. Repair and learn new skills.
Level 14
When done go to Stormwind either by tram, or by taking a flight.
In Stormwind, head for the dwarven district and turn in [14] Stormpike’s Order
Go to the Cathedral and at the town hall (49,30), get the quest [15] Humble Beginnings from Baros Alexton. Make Stormwind your home.
Go out of Stormwind and turn southeast until you reach Westfall
Westfall:
1) On the border of Westfall, just across the river, get the quests
Follow the road south and as it forks just keep running forward towards the house.
2) At the house turn in [10] The Westfall Stew, get the follow up and get the following quests as well:
3) Head towards the road and run south until you reach Sentinel Hill. Get the flight path and the following quests:
And turn in [10] Report to Gryan Stoutmantle
4) Go a bit west to log (44,46) and kill Goretusks and Fleshrippers until you got 3 Goretusk snouts, 3 Stringly Vulture Meat and 8 Goretusk livers
5) Go north to The Molsen Farm at log (46,38).
Kill 15 Defias Trappers and 15 Defias Smugglers
Remember: if you find any Sack of Oats loot them
6) If you haven’t found 8 Sack of Oats then go to Saldean’s Farm at the windmills and look for some Oats there.
7) When done, go north to Furlbrow’s Pumpkin farm at log (50,21) killing every Harvest Watcher that passes your way. At the pumpkin farm kill every Defias in the area infront of the little house. Be careful not to aggro the mobs inside the house. This quest might be a bit hard as you have to kill a level 12 and a level 15 in order to loot Furlbrow’s pocket watch . It's doable, but if you're having problems ask if anybody wanna help you complete it. You can start killing the Harvest Watchers while looking.
Kill Harvest Watchers until you’ve completed the quest, got 5 Flasks of Oil and Hops, and 3 Okra
9) Then go north until you encounter a gnoll camp at log (52,15). Clear the camp and go east to find some more Gnolls. Kill these until you:
Find 8 Gnoll Paws
Ding level 15
Level 15
10) Go north to Longshore at log (42,10). This place is crawling with murlocs, so kill them until you’ve collected 3 Murloc eyes
11) When done, go back to the Farmer couple at the border of westfall and turn in all the quests.
12) Then run to Saldean’s farm and turn in the quests.
13) Finally, run to Sentinel Hill and turn in the last few quests. Get the follow up for [12] The Peoples Militia and the quest [18] The Defias Brotherhood. Phew, that was a long run….
Sell and repair, and then head west to Alexton Farmestead at log (37,54). West of the barn there should be a burned down house. Inside this house there is a box, so clear the area around the building and loot the box for a Simple Compass
Then go southwest to the Westfall Lighthouse at log (30,86)
Get the quest [16] Keeper of the Flame from Captain Grayson and turn it in immediately (since you should have the 5 Flask of Oil. Then go east to the city of Moonbrook at log (43,69). This place should be crawling with Defias Pillagers and Defias Looters. So grind this place until the following requirements has been achieved:
Kill 15 Defias Pillagers
Kill 15 Defias Looters
Get 15 Red Leather Bandanas (if you haven’t done the quest already)
Ding level 16
Note: if Moonbrook is crowded just go to Alextons Farmstead. The amount of Defias mobs available is a bit lower than in Moonbrook, but not if Moonbrook is crowded that is
Then go back to Sentinel Hill and turn in [14] The Peoples Militia and get the follow up
Level 16
From Sentinel Hill, go southeast to the bridge that leads to Duskwood. Go over it and stick to the road leading east. When you reach Darkshire, get the flightpath and go to the inn. Inside the inn, find the bartender and buy a Bottle of Moonshine and continue north by the road until you reach Redridge Mountains. On the border of Redridge you should meet Guard Parker. Get the quest [16] Encroaching Gnolls from him. Then go north by the road and you should soon after be in Lakeshire. Get the flight path and go to the inn across the river. Go to the first floor and talk with Wiley the Black. Complete [18] The Defias Brotherhood and get the follow up. Get the quest [18] The Price of Shoes as well. Run back to the flight master and take a flight to Westfall. In Westfall, go to Gryan Stoutmantle and complete [18] The Defias Brotherhood. Get the follow up and heart to Stormwind.
In Stormwind go sell, repair, AH and learn new skills. When done, run to the Old Town district and in the southeastern part of the district you should find Mathias Shaw. Turn in [18] The Defias Brotherhood and get the follow up. Then go to Baros Alexton at the Cathedral Square and turn in [15] Humble Beginnings .
Go to Ironforge either by the tram or by flight, make it your home, and then from Ironforge, fly to Loch Modan.
When you arrive, run directly east from Thelsamar, swim across the lake and you should see Bingle standing with his crashed plane at log (64,48). Turn in [15] Find Bingles and get the follow up: [15] Bingles Missing Supplies. Then run southeast to the Farstrider Lodge at log (82,62) and get the following quests in the following order:
As soon as you’ve accepted the quest at timer will start. You now have 15 minutes to kill 6 Mountain buzzards. This isn’t too difficult. Run southwest to log (77,74) and kill Buzzards until you’ve completed the quest. Then run back to the lodge and turn in the quest and get the follow up.
When you accept this a new timer showing 12 minutes will appear. Now, instead of running southwest as before, run northwest towards the place where you found Bingle. It should be pretty easy to find and slay 5 boars, and when done, run back to the lodge, complete the quest and run back to Bingle.
Stand at Bingle and look at the lake. You should see 2 islands. One with trees on it another without. Go to the island without trees at log (55,54) and kill Crocolisks until you’ve completed [15] Crocolisk hunting. Then swim north to the two most northern islands in the lake. Start by clearing the camp on the small island at log (48,29) and loot Bingle’s Toolbucket for Bingle’s Wrench. Go to the western part of the big island at log (48,21); clear the camp and loot Bingle’s Screwdriver. Then go to the middle part of the island at log (52,24), clear the place and loot Bingle’s Hammer. Finally go to the most eastern part of the island and loot Bingle’s Blastencapper. You should grind this place until the following objectives are done:
Kill 10 Bonesplitter Bonesnappers
Kill 10 Bonesplitter Shamans
Ding level 17
Level 17
Go north to Stonewrought Dam at log (47,13) and get the quest [18] A Dark Threat Looms then go east down the ramp and turn around. You should see two level 17 Dark Iron Sappers. Kill them and click on the suspicious barrel. Complete the quest and get the follow up. Go back to the middle of the Dam and complete the quest. Don’t get the follow up.
Go back to Bingle and turn in [15] Bingles Missing Supplies. Then run to the lodge and turn in [15] Crocolisk hunting. Sell and Repair. Then head west to Ironbands Excavation Site at log (65,67). Get the following quests:
[15] Excavaiton Progress Report
[18] Gathering Idols
The Troggs that drops the Idols are located inside the excavation site to east, so go in there and gather 8 Carved Stone Idols. Once done, turn it in and go to Thelsamar and turn in [15] Excavaiton Progress Report. Get the follow up. Go south to the Valley of Kings and turn in [15] In Defense of the King’s Lands. Do not get the follow up.
Now you should be over halfway to level 18 so I recommend some grinding. So go back to the excavation site and kill Stonesplinters until you ding level 18.
Level 18
Warp to Ironforge, and go to the Hall of Explorers. Talk with Prospector Stormpike and complete the quest. Don’t get the follow up. Now go to Stormwind, train, repair and sell then head to the Trade District at log (52,67) and buy a Cask of Merlot. Then run to Goldshire and turn in the quest [18] The Price of Shoes ang get the follow up. Go to the inn and buy a Skin of Sweet Rum from the barkeeper. Then go to Westfall. In Westfall turn in the quest at Gryan Stoutmantle and get the follow up.
The messenger is patrolling between Gold Coast Quarry and Moonbrook. Run to Gold Coast Quarry and run south by the road until you reach Moonbrook. If you encounter The Messenger on the way, kill him and loot him. If you do not encounter him then wait in Moonbrook until he spawns and then loot A Mysterious Message.
Now run east to Dagger Hills at log (53,72) and kill the Defias in this area until you’ve completed [17] The Peoples Militia. Work your way up the hills heading south-west to log (44,80) and you'll see a dwarf. Get his quest and turn it in immediately since you got the 5 Hops. Go back to Sentinel Hill and turn in [17] The Peoples Militia and [18] The Defias Brotherhood. Then go to the defias traitor and get the follow up.
Note: As soon as you accept this quest you will have to escort the traitor through Moonbrook. This isn’t hard, as the Traitor generally assist you on every mob you attack. The quest ends at the entrance to the Deadmines near the town square of Moonbrook
When done, run west to the Westfall Lighthouse. Get the quests:
The Murlocs can be found along the shore, so run back and forth until you’ve completed both quests. Old Murk-eye wanders around just east of the lightshouse
Turn in both quests and head back to Sentinel Hill. Turn in the [18] The Defias Brotherhood, get the follow up and fly to Redridge Mountains
In Redridge, get the following quests:
And turn in the following quests:
[14] Dry Times
[16] Encroaching Gnolls and get the follow up [17] Assesing the Threat
[18] Return to Verner and get the two new quests: [20] A Baying of Gnolls and [18] Underbelly Scales

From now on kill every Goretusk, Condor and Spider you meet in order to complete [18] Redridge Goulash
1) Start by running south to the edge of Redridge at log (16,71). Here you should find Guard Parker. Turn in the quest and get the follow up.
2) Run east to Lakeridge Highway at log (28,81) and kill 10 Mongrels and 6 Poachers.
3) Then run north and kill Black Dragon Whelps until you’ve collected 6 Underbelly Whelp Scales.
4) Go even further north and into the lake. Scout through it until you find a crashed boat and a box next to it at log (42,55). Dive down, carefully avoiding the murlocs, and loot Oslow’s Toolbox from the box
5) Swim west to the other side of the bridge. Now look for what looks like a pile of mud labelled: Glinting Mud. When you find it loot Hilary’s Necklace.
6) If you need any more goretusks then go east to log (16,54). Be carefull though, as Bellygrub (a level 24 mob) is roaming the area so try to pull the goretusks to you. (Thanks to Rothselm for this tip)
7) Return to Lakeshire and turn in:
[15] Visit the Herbalist, get the follow up and turn that in as well (in the Inn)
[15] Hillarys Necklace
[18] Underbelly Scales
[17] Assesing the Threat
[16] The Lost Tools and get the quest [20] The Everstill Bridge from him as well
That should make you ding 19, or really close to.
Level 19
7) Go north from Lakeshire to Redridge Canyons at log (36,36). Kill Gnolls until you’ve:
Killed 8 Redridge Mystics
Killed 10 Redridge Brutes
Collected 5 Iron Pikes
Collected 5 Iron Rivets
Once done, run east to Alther’s mill at log (53,42) and kill as many Goretusks, Condors and Spirders you need in order to complete [18] Redridge Goulash.
9) Then head south and jump down the cliffs killing every murloc you encounter on your way down.
Swim west until you see a Murloc camp at log (41,45). Now kill these Murlocs until you’ve collected 10 Spotted Sunfish and 8 Murloc Fins.
Note: If the place is crowded you can go to log (48,70), there should be plenty of Murlocs there.
10) Then go back to Lakeshire and turn in:
[21] Selling Fish.
[18] Redridge Goulash
[20] The Everstill Bridge
[20] A Baying of Gnolls
You should be level 20 by now (if not, grind on Gnolls).
When you’re level 20, return to Lakeshire and get the quest [20] Murloc Poachers and instantly turn it in.
And this concludes my guide. You can still level on and if you decide to do so, I recommend that you go to the Deadmines (you got the main quest, and the other quests are pretty easy to get). You can follow Jame’s Deadmines guide for information and tactics for the various boss encounters the instance has to offer.
I hope you enjoyed reading my guide, and I would love if you would leave some kind of feedback

Joan’s Alliance Leveling Guide Chapter 2 – Alliance level 13-20
Introduction:
This guide starts at level 13. So if you want to play up a character you may follow my guide for 1-12 witch in practice takes you to 13.
I wont take the quests that’s specific for the class, but I recommend you to do them. They are most often worth the trouble.
I won’t say “sell and repair” or “visit the class trainer” just do it when you think it’s proper, but try to keep them when you are in the area of a vendor or a trainer.
I don’t say this is the fastest or even a fast way to do it (even if I think it is..) but it’s a way to level between 13-20.
Many people may think the travel is a waist of time but consider that you have to do the travel at some point this may be it .
Recommendations:
When I’ve done this guide I’ve used the add on “Titan panel” witch is very useful and I recommend you to use it.
Titan panel: It’s a very useful addon with may different features. But it’s mostly because I sometimes use locations in my guide with coordinates (x,y), and the panel shows them. But it’s also shows you a lot of other things. Download the lates version here.
Chapter 2
Level 13
Time to travel to Westfall! When you have crossed the bridge in to Westfall there is two farmers standing along the road. Take the following quests:

Start killing them to finish of
Level 14
Time to travel, fly to Stormwind, and there put in your quest items in the bank to save bag space. After that:
In short: Travel to Darkshore.
In detail: First to Ironforge, then to Loch Modan and after that to Wetlands. From Wetlands take the boat over to Darkshore.
Remember to take the flight paths in all the areas you pass.
When you get to Auberdine make it your home. Take the flight path and then collect the following quests:
2. Head to the beach just outside the village to the north. Kill Pygmy Tide Crawler until you find 6 Crawler Leg. Go along the beach until you find Beached Sea Creature, you may have passed it but just go back then. And if you find any Murloc Eye it’s a bonus so just save them until later.
3. Head over to Bashal’ Aran and up the cliff to Asterion. Turn in the quest and take the follow up [12] Bashal’ Aran . Then start killing the Vile Sprite and Wild Grell until you find 8 Grell Earring. When you are done, turn the quest in and take the follow up. Now you need to kill Deth’ ryll Satyr and find Ancieit Moonstone Seal, it can be in any one of them so just look around. Turn in the quest and take the follow up. If you haven’t dinged level 15, this is a good grinding spot so just grind up to 15.
Level 15
Go out in the forest and capture a Rabid Thistle Bear with your trap. Then head back to Auberdine. Turn in the quests and take the follow ups:

Empty your bags and head out again. Now is a good time to walk in the forest to get some extra xp, but if you don’t want to you just have to do some grinding later on or have rest bonus.
How ever, head to Ameth’ Aran, but on the way… Walk in to one of the camps with Blackwood’s, so that you complete [14] How Big a Threat? . Then start walking on the road until you comes to Ameth’ Aran. Once there just follow the road a few steps until you find a guard that gives you

Then look after the first stone plate, just a little bit away from the flames to the southeast. Keep an eye out for the ghost Anaya Dawnunner. Move over to the second plate and take it. Then just kill ghost and Anaya Dawnunner until the following quests is done.
1. Go to the camp where you find Blackwood’s and kill them until the quest is completed.
2. Go out to loc (31,46) where you find Skeletal Sea Turtle and from it you get Sea Turtle Remains.
3. Go back to Auberdine and turn in [13] Washed ashore .
4. Then just go north in the water and start killing Darkshore Thresher until you have completed [12] Buzzbox 411 .
5. Head to loc (41,31) and take the quest from the Beached Sea Creature. In the water you will find more Murlocs to kill utnill you have found 3 Murloc Eye. Then go to the Buzzbox just a bit further up along the beach.

Take the follow up;
7. Go out in the woods and start killing Rabid Thistle Bears and Moonstalkers until [16] Cleansing of the Infected and [14] Buzzbox 323 is done.
8. Go to the next Buzzbox at loc (51,24) and turn in the quest don’t take the follow up.
9. Then just jump down in the river next to a waterfall and fill your little glass to the quest [15] The Cliffspring River .
By now you should be well over level 16, if you are not it’s time to grind until you ding and maybe a bit more to be on track.
10. Warp back to Auberdine if it is up, other wise just run.
Level 16
Turn in all the completed quests. Take the boat back to the Wetlands and flight back to Westfall. This is a good time to do a pit stop in Stormwind to learn new abilities and check AH. Remember to take out what you did put in on the bank.

1. Empty your bags and move out.
2. Go southeast and kill all Goretusk you can find as well as all birds, until you have done;
4. Head over to Moonbrook and start killing the Defias for [14] The People’s Militia. You can go to the farm that is marked on the map above, there you can find Defies as well.
Level 17
5. When you are done heart back to Sentinell Hill if you can. Turn in the quests there and take the follow ups.
1. Move out again. It’s time to kill Harvest Watchers until you have completed;
2. Go and turn in [14] Poor Old Blanchy to Verna Furlbrow.
3. Go to the next farm and turn in
5. Move out to the coast and over to the lightning house and take the following quests;
6. Then just move along the beach and kill what you have to kill until [19] The Coast Isn’t Clear , (you have to move a long way to the north to complete it). When you are in the south of the beach, keep an eye out for Old Murk-Eye. By now you should have dinged level 18, if you haven’t just grind something on the beach.
Level 18
7. When they are completed go back to the lightning house and turn the quest in.
Run back to Sentinell Hill, turn in [17] The People’s Militia and take the follow up, [18] The Defias Brotherhood . Now is a good time to take a trip to Stormwind, otherwise warp to Darkshore.

1. Collect the following quests;
3. Swim over the river and up to the second cave and kill the mobs so that you can pick the mushrooms so that you complete [17] Cave Mushrooms . If you can’t do it by yourself there are most often someone that can help you out.
5. Follow the road and turn in the quest [18] The Tower of Alhalaxx and take the follow up.
6. Go up to the tower and start killing the humans there until [18] The Tower of Alhalaxx is completed. Go back and turn it in, don’t take the follow up.
7. Go out to the beach and kill the crabs, you will find Beached Sea Turtle, take the quest it gives. Keep killing Crabs until [17] Fruit of the Sea is done.
8. Warp back to Auberdine and turn in the quests. You should ding level 19 if you haven’t already.
Level 19
Now you have to make a choice because now is a really good time to do The Deadmies, otherwise you have to grind your way up to level 20, or do quests on your own because I strongly advice you to do The Deadmines. It’s a good experience to know how your character works in a instance and work in a team.
If you choose to do The Deadmines then there is some legwork to do. First of, take yourself to Stormwind and from there to Lakshire in Redridge Mountains. There, take the flight path and find the person you need to talk to, to complete [18] The Defias Brotherhood , (he is in the second floor of the inn.) Take the follow up and fly back to Stormwind. Go to Old District. Turn in the quest and get the follow up. Then go over toDwarven District and take the following quests;
Then at the foot of the tower there stands one or two mans. If it is just one, you have to wait until the second one appears. He gives you an escort quest that you should take and escort him to Moonbrook. Then go back again. Turn in the quest and take the last follow up.
Just one more quest to collect, and it's an easy one. At the top of the tower and take the quest.
Now I suggest that you use Jame’s Deadmines guide witch you find here.
Level 20
When you are done in The Deadmines, and have turned in the quest you completed you should be well over level 20, and here ends this guide.
I hope you have enjoyed it.
I decided to pick up this guide at Level 12, because from Level 1-11 you can spend your time levelling in Elwynn Forest (Goldshire, Eastvale, and the areas south of Stormwind and Northshire), Dun Murogh (Ironforge and Kharanos), and Teldrassil (Dolanaar, Starbreeze) all dependent on your race. If you've yet to choose your race, I'd suggest going with either Human, Dwarf or Gnome, just because the Night Elves have their homeland on the continent of Kalimdor, which is quite a hike from the Eastern Kingdoms, where this guide takes place.
If you're around level 10 or 11, and want to get up one or two levels easily before entering Westfall, or even get a quick head start on it, I would recommend going to another race's second city. Dwarves and Gnomes, I would recommend going to Goldshire, south of Stormwind, simply because it is closest to Westfall, Night Elves can take their pick at either Kharanos or Goldshire. Kharanos takes up more time than Goldshire, but there are more rewarding quests, including two elite quests. If you're a Human, Kharanos is your best bet less travel time.
Westfall
For those uninformed, Westfall is located to the west of Stormwind City and Goldshire. If you're confused as to how you get there, if you're a Human, when you finish questing in Elwynn, you'll receive a quest which will direct you there, straight down the road from Goldshire. If you're a Dwarf or a Gnome, head to Ironforge and into Tinker Town, where you can take the tram to Stormwind. From there, head south until you reach Goldshire, and then west until you cross a bridge into Westfall. For those Night Elves out there, your route is more complex and it is much more difficult. You need to fly to Darkshore, and from where the Hypogryph drops you off, you need to head west, up the dock until you hit an intersection. Take a left here, and run up to the end of the dock, where a boat will soon arrive. From there, you must take the boat, and you will soon arrive in Menethil Harbor; this location is very important for those who want to go between the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. From there, you need to leave the city, and then continue down the road to the east, and stay on it until you reach Dun Algaz. The route from there is simple, head west to the North Gate Pass, and continue heading that way until you reach Ironforge. From there, follow the route for Dwarves and Gnomes.
When you first enter Westfall, you'll notice that there's a broken down wagon and a couple of glum looking individuals standing in front of it, each of them is a questgiver. Walk towards them and take on the quests [10] Westfall Stew, [12] The Forgotten Heirloom and [14] Poor Old Blanchy.
Run south, and head to the Saldean Farm (56,31). You can turn in [10] Westfall Stew, and get the follow-up. Pick up the quests [12] Goretusk Liver Pie and [15] The Killing Fields.
When you're running from one destination to another, be sure to kill anything you encounter along the way. They can drop quest items for Westfall Stew and Goretusk Liver Pie, and can net you some experience while you travel.
Head to Sentinel Hill, where you can find Questgivers which will give you the quests [10] A Swift Message, [12] The People's Militia, [14] Patrolling Westfall and [15] Red Leather Bandanas.
First off, we're going to want to head to the Wind Rider Master, Thor. Speak with him, and you can complete the quest, [10] A Swift Message, pick up the follow up, and then fly to Stormwind City.
When you arrive in Stormwind, head down the stairs of from the Flight Master towards the trade district. If you have enough money, pick up Flask of Oil x 5 (only if you have the money, they drop in Westfall, and if you're lazy, this is the simplest route), and then head towards the Old Town section of Stormwind. Here, you'll find Osric Strang, a Heavy Armor Merchant, and the next part of your quest. Turn in [10] Continue to Stormwind and get the follow up. While you're here, repair, and get the food and drinks that you need, now continue to the griffin master, turn in the quest, and then accept the follow up.
Fly back to Westfall, and turn in [10] Return to Lewis. From here, head to the Molsen's Farm (46,39), and get some easy kills off of the Defias there, to gather a total of 15 Red Leather Bandanas. While at Molsen's, you can pick up two Oats at (46,38) and (45,35).
Head to 55,20, and kill off some of the Young Goretusks which you meet. Once you've gathered 8 Goretusk Livers, head to the Saldean Farm and turn in [12] Goretusk Liver Pie. Return to Sentinel Hill and turn in [15] Red Leather Bandanas. If by now you have 5 Flasks of Oil, head southwest, past Moonbrook, and towards the Westfall Lighthouse (southwest corner of the map), where you can accept the quest [16] Keeper of the Flame, and then turn it in for 1150 XP. Get the quest [19] The Coast Isn't Clear, and run along the beaches outside of the lighthouse, killing Murlocs to pick up some experience and to help you complete the quest. If an item called Captain Sander's Treasure Map drops, pick it up and read it to begin a chain of quests; note the map drops only off of the Murlocs. When you finish the quest, turn it in.
If you do pick up the Map, then you can start a quest which will get you some easy experience and some pretty valuable items at a low level. You can locate the Footlocker for the first part of the quest at 25,47, and then pick up the next part of the chain. The next part of the quest leads you to 40,47, where you have to locate a Broken Barrel, next to a chimney. The next part of the chain takes you to 40,17, where there is a jug next to a log. The last piece that you need to find for the treasure hunt is at 25,16; for completing this quest you receive an 8 slot bag, 1 Silver Bar, Captain Sander's Sash and Captain Sander's Shirt.
Now, head to Furlbow's Pumpkin Patch, where you can kill some Harvest Watchers (try and kill as many as you can, as you need 20 for your quest), and afterwards head to (49,19), where you can look in a Wardrobe for Furlbow's Heirloom. The quests from here on out shouldn't be too complicated for you, on the Pumpkin Patch, head to (49,21) and (50,18), and get the Oats at each location. Kill as many Harvest Watchers as you have the patience to, and then head to the Saldean's Farm, where there are more Watchers for you to kill (if you need any more).
At the Saldean's Farm, go to the locations (56,31), (52,34) and (52,32), where you can pick up even more Oats. By now, if you should have finished the quest [10] Westfall Stew, as well as the quests [15] The Killing Fields and [12] Goretusk Liver Pie. Turn in all three of those quests, and then head west to the Jangolode Mine.
At the Jangolode Mine, and begin to kill the Defias Trappers and Defias Smugglers, until you've killed a total of 15 of each. Once that much has been accomplished, head back north up the road, and then turn in the quests [12] The Forgotten Heirloom and [14] Poor Old Blanchy. Now, return to Sentinel Hill, and turn in the quest [12] The People's Militia, and then pick up the follow up, as well as [18] The Defias Brotherhood.
Make sure your hearthstone is set to Sentinel Hill, and then head to Redridge (if you have the Flight Path, if not, head to Stormwind, and then run east to Redridge Mountains, and to Lakeshire). The man you're looking for is in the inn, turn in the quest and get the follow up. Now fly back to Sentinel Hill, and speak with Gryan again, grab the follow up, and head to Stormwind. There, you can turn in a quest in Old Town to Master Mathias Shaw, pick up the follow up.
While you're here, you can get several quest for the instance The Deadmines. I'm not going to cover the Deadmines in this guide, but I'll tell you where you can get the quests, and I'll recommend that you run it several times, as it is a great way to level and completing these quests will make your path all the more better.
You can get the quest [15] Speak with Shoni in Ironforge, in Tinker Town on the other side of the tram. Afterwards, you can return to the Dwarven District, speak with Shoni the Silent, and get the quest [20] Underground Assault. When entering the Dwarven District from Old Town, on your right is a building containing a Questgiver who gives you the quest [20] Oh Brother . . .. The final quest is in the upper left corner of the Dwarven District, the quest is [18] Collecting Memories.
When done in Stormwind hearth back to Sentinel Hill. Turn in the quest, and get the final follow up.
Head to Moonbrook, and begin to agro the Defias on the outskirts of town. You may need to bring along a partner to complete this quest, but it's possible to solo this, and isn't very complex to do so if you're careful. In the center of town, the Defias Messenger will spawn every minute or two. Head back to Sentinel Hill and turn in the two quests, and grab the follow up [22] The Defias Brotherhood, as well as [17] Red Silk Bandanas, which can be received from a woman at the top of the tower on Sentinel Hill. From here you can either head to Redridge and start on the quests there, or you can run the Deadmines, my recommendation is to do the latter, and use the Deadmines as a way to level and upgrade your gear, as well as complete the aforementioned quests.
This guide is certified for use only on World of Warcraft Pro, so please don't take it (that is, if anyone would want to take it).
