Miner's guide to making gold and reputation- part 1.

This guide is meant for players who are Horde and are a melee oriented class. Such classes include, Warrior, Rogue, Shaman, Paladin, Hunter, and Druid(bear form and cat form). Not to say that the caster classes couldn't use this guide, it just wouldn't be as easy. Same with players who are Alliance. They could follow these steps but it wouldn't be as easy.

As you will soon realize the first part of the guide is all about Copper mining. That is mostly due to that fact that I haven't found a great area to mine other minerals yet. If anyone knows of such an area they should definatley drop me an email.

Big note here: MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW MUCH COPPER BARS ARE WORTH AT THE AUCTION HOUSE!!!

Your character should be atleast level 15 with decent enough gear. Such gear can be bought at the Auction House, obtained through quests, or looted from the Rage Fire Chasm instance. If your guy isn't part healer then you may want to learn first aid. Your characters professions should be Mining and Herbalism. Once all these things are achieved you are then ready to go!

Now you can find Copper Veins all over Durotar, Mulgore, and the Barrens. But there is one place that has served me very well for a long time. That place is the Venture Co. Mine in Mulgore. The Venture Co. Mine is located on Eastern side of Mulgore. Its almost a straight shot from BloodHoof Village. Those of you who are Tauren should already know where it is. The reason you should atleast be 15 is so you can easily kill all the enemies within the mine. They are all levels 9 to 10. Only problem is that sometimes they can aggro other enemies and suddenly you are greatly outnumbered.

Turn on the Find Minerals ability and head into the mine. Just take things slow at first and try to avoid the enemies as much as possible. For Rogues and Druids with cat form this should be an easier task since they can Sneak. Just make your way through the mines and try to get to everyone that it shows there are minerals at. The Copper Veins sprout up fairly quickly so if you start by the time you get through the whole mine the ones you first mined should be back again. Or atleast one in its general area.

The second step in all of this is selling it at the Auction House. This can be both the easiest and hardest part of the whole thing. As I said before, make sure you know how much Copper Bars are worth before you doing any of this. For me they have been going for about 1g or 2g per 20. However, there are ways to make this price increase and decrease. The less Copper Bars that are for sale the higher the price can be. You could probably get about 4g per 20 if you are the only person with any for sale. However, if there are tons of people selling them then the price can plummet to about 50s. The key to all of this is to...

#1. Buy any set of 20 Copper Bars that are going for less than the usual amount. What this means is that if everyone else is selling the bars for about 1g and one person is selling his at about 50s then the odds of people buying from you goes down. Buy up these Copper Bars then sell them for the normal amount. This eliminates the person and you can gain more money.

#2. Don't flood the market. Doing this tends to make people want to lower their prices and that will make the consumer buy from them instead of you. Only sell about 4 or 5 sets of bars at a time. Any extras just store in the bank for later on.

Now you may be wondering what the whole reputation part is all about. This part is really simple. Just find Peaceblooms in Durotar, Mulgore, or The Barrens and turn them into the War Supplies people in Orgrimmar. Just turn the Peaceblooms into them and talk to a commendation person to get the Reputation up in the faction that you choose. Really, it all depends on what kind of mount you want.

This is the end of part 1 of this guide. If this is helpful to people I will do some reasearch and put a part 2 where people can know the best places to find tin and other kinds of herbs! Any questions, comments, or helpful criticisms/tips are welcome. Just leave me an email at . Happy Hunting! Sticking out tongue
