Leveling tips for the starters of World of Warcraft
1. Always update your food and make sure to have a lot of it. Levels:(5) (15) (25) (35) (45) (55) (65) (75)
2. Remember to have a alt at the bank. this way you don't have to run to get stuff from your bank or from your auctions. just put an alt near a mailbox (orgrimmar) and then have take your items. when leveling you can get some cool things you can sell on the auction. go to the closest mailbox and mail them to your alt.
3. Now for this tip, there has been alot fo debate. Basically many people think that this tip goes against james leveling guide. Well im not going to be a liar; It does. I made this tip for people who are not using his guide (even though its great) and for people who just want to play it by ear.The tip was to grab all the quests you can. Now i realize in many cases this is not advised. But when it comes to having just a little bit more experiance till you can go to the next zone and you just want to get there really quickly. Dont be afraid to go quest hunting. Now in many situation some quests are just time wasters. For example, dont just go into a dungeon to do a quest. As much as it might help; in the time you could be done that quest you could be alreay done maybe 5 quests. Your basically going in there for griding exp or gear. The quest is just a bonus. However if your getting run then its the other way around. It will be worth it if your just doing a quick run with a higher level.
4. Make sure to use addons to help you quest. things such as Quest helper or Cartographer can put a way point to your leveling; (like a GPS) on your screen telling you were to go. its really helpful and can bring your played time down a lot.
to get these addons either Curse MMORPG Addons Site or The Safe + Reliable Wowinterface SiteNow remember that if you are using james guide addon you do NOT need these. just skip this step if you are.
questhelper (click here to download)
Carbonite Quest (click here to download)
5. Try not to leave quest items in your bank. remember that you will need them eventually and that any time when you are somewhere u will need them, and you don't have them, you will have to run all the way back.
6. When at a lower level don't worry as much about quests. yes do killing quests but things such as collection quests. unless they are to do with killing don't do them until you are at least level 3-4. its really easy top grind to level 3, that's all I'm saying. Now im not saying that you cannot im just saying that in my opinion, i just like gridning for the first few levels
7. Unless you are a really high level don't worry about your professions. if you have skinning just skin he monsters and you will level up quick. the only profession you may want to worry about is First Aid and if you have skinning that too. other than that you don't really need to unless you want to cook for yourself than that's a different situation.
8. When ever you log out make sure to log out in the nearest inn. this will give you rested experience which is double the experience you would get for killing a monster in normal mode.
9. Grinding alone isn't always fun. try questing and grinding together. together they make a great match. but really its all your choice.
10. When a lower level try to put you hearth to the nearest inn were your leveling and not to a main city. when you get above 30-40 then you may want to switch because there is a lot more questing and stuff int he main cities.
11. many people say don't do your dailies when your a low level. I don't believe that. Its a fun quest and the game is about fun. Your having fun in Battlegrounds plus getting your experience. however once your daily is done go back to leveling.(optional tip; my opinion), as much fun as this may be, i like it, but it is not always advised as it is not the best leveling quests. Its fun to get extra honor and kill some alliance/horde. However in most cases i don't suggest it, especially in cases of wanting to get to 80 as fast as possible.
12, A new tip now.. i have found that when leveling (especially in Northrend) your best bet is to grab those dailies for a bit of extra exp... if your in James guide for some reason, I Don't Know.... you don't want to do a specific quest, you can replace it w/ a daily. however this isn't always great as it can mess up the chain of quests and you might just end up doing it anyways. but for example if you need a bit extra experience, this is a nice little way to get a bit more. for example you used James guide but your at 79 and you finished the guide. for some reason your not 80, you might of missed a step your probably thinking, well instead of having to go back, pick up some dailies and finish them to get a little bit more extra experience
Thanks for reading my leveling tips for world of warcraft. i hoped you liked them and i hope they will help you.Remember these tips are more for the begineers. most of these tips are just common sense, but some people forget what they should commonly do. Thats why i made this guide.
Have fun leveling,
