Class specific guides and suggestions on how to specalize with your character.
Hello guys, my name is pyro and welcome to my clothie twink guide. I like making twink guides which I post on my guild website and making twinks as well. So I hope this helps you guys out with making your 19 twink warlock, mage or priest. Hope you enjoy this guide.
ARMOR LIST:
Head: Lucky Fishing Hat [+15 stam] or Green Tinted Goggles [+8 stam, +7 sprit]: Lucky fishing hat is really hard to get. To get it you must have a max fishing skill (150) and u must have about 20 “Aquadynamic Fish Attractor” which give you +100 fishing when you apply it to your fishing rod. When you have done that, then you can participate in the booty bay fishing competition which is held in “Stranglethorn Vale” (STV) on every Sunday between 2-4pm sever time, to get the lucky fishing hat, you will have to capture a rare fish which can be found in the “Tasty school fish” nodes which are located along the Stranglethorn Vale coastline. There are 3 rare fish that can be caught, they are called “Brownell's Blue Striped Racer” (used to get Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots), “Dezian Queenfish” (used to get High Test Eternium Fishing Line, increase’s fishing skill by 5), and “Keefer's Angelfish” (used to get Lucky Fishing Hat) And when you get one, you can trade them in to the robot in booty bay (look for the repeatable quest sign to find him). Once you get the right fish, trade it in to the robot to get the Lucky Fishing hat.
Now you think that would be easy right? Will you would be wrong because you guys should know that STV is basically GANK LAND on a PVP sever. This means, that there are going to be a lot of people around which could and most of the time, will kill you and camp you. I’ve done this fishing competition a couple of times and I try to just keep away from the horde and they usually leave you alone, it could help if you had someone to protect you in STV cause the beasts would kill you (they range from lvl 30 to 40).
Green tinted goggles can be made by an engineer and you HAVE to be an engineer to where them, you need to have an engineering lvl of 150 to wear and make them.
Neck: Sentinel's Medallion [+6 agi, +2 stam] or Scout's Medallion [+6 agi, +2 stam]: Sentinel's Medallion can be bought from the pvp vendor at Silverwing Grove in Ashenvale for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks. Scout's Medallion can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks
Shoulders: Talbar Mantle [+3stam, +6int]:
You can get Talbar Mantle from a quest which starts from an item that drops from the last boss in WC; this is the only cloth shoulders that give stats at lvl 19.
Back: Engineer’s cloak [+5stam, +2 int] alliance only or Feyscale Cloak [+4stam, +5 spell damage and healing] or Battle Healer's Cloak [+4 stam, +2 sprit, +9 healing] horde only or Caretaker's Cape [+4 stam, +2 sprit, +9 healing] alliance only: Engineer’s cloak is a quest reward from a quest in Stonetalon Mountains, the quest giver is called “Ziz Fizziks”, you can find him in Windshear Crag (map mod location 58, 62) There are 5 chains to the quest and you can start the quest chain at lvl 16. Feyscale Cloak drops from the Deviate Faerie Dragon which is a rare spawn in WC, I recommend having a high level running you thru and he can just go straight thru to see if the rare spawn is there, if it isn’t, then just come back out and reset the instance, then you do it again till you kill him and get the Feyscale Cloak.
Battle Healer's Cloak can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for 65 honor and 10 WSG marks. Caretaker's Cape can be bought from the pvp vendor at Silverwing Grove in Ashenvale for 65 honor and 10 WSG marks
Chest: Bloody Apron [+12 stam] or Tree Bark Jacket [+6 stam, +10 int] or Robe of the Moccasin [+6 sprit, +6 stam, +7 spell damage and healing ]: Bloody Apron is a drop from one of the bosses in Shadow Fang Keep (SFK), I would only get this if you can’t get the Tree Bark Jacket. Tree Bark Jacket drops form the trash mobs in Blackfathom Deeps and has about a 0.01% drop rate, so It would be better to buy this form the AH for about 40 to 80g. Robe of the Moccasin drops from Lord Cobrahn in Wailing Caverns (WC).
Wrist: Greenweave Bracers [+4 stam or +4 int] or Mindthrust Bracers [-5 stam, +9 int] or Crystalline Cuffs [+2 int, +2 sprit, +4 spell damage and healing]: Greenweave Bracers are a world drop and are best bought from the AH, go +4 stam for locks, + 4 int for mages and priest. Mindthrust Bracers are only good if you get a +9 stam enchant on them, you can buy them from the AH from about 30 to 60g.
Crystalline Cuffs drop from one of the bosses in Rage Fire Chasm (RFC) which is bad news for alliance because RFC is in the middle of the horde city Orgrimmar, and your goin to need someone to run you thru it, a lvl 70 with his epic mount should be able to get in the instance with out being killed (Azurath has tried this) but your twink will have to corpse jump to get in the instance, which will take about 12 rez to get in, But it is worth it to get these bracers.
Hands: Magefist Gloves [+3 stam, +4 sprit, +5 int] or Shimmering Gloves [+4 stam, +4 int or +13 healing, +5 spell damage] or Gold-flecked Gloves [+6 int, +7 healing and spell damage]: Magefist Gloves and Shimmering Gloves are world drops, so you will have to buy them form the AH. Gold-flecked Gloves drop from the second boss in deadmines(VC).
Waist: Keller's Girdle [+3stan, + 8 int]: This is a world drop so you will have to buy it from the AH for about 30 to 50g.
Legs: Darkweave Breeches [+3 stam, +7 int] or Colorful Kilt [+5 sprit, +6 spell damage and healing] or Rigid Leggings of The Eagle [+4 stam, +4 int]: All of these are world drops so you will have to buy these from the AH for about 20 to 50g.
Feet: Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots [+12 stam] or Sanguine Sandals [+4 stam, +4 int]:
Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots are a MUST have because you can get BC enchants on them, unlike all the other amour that you can get which cant get BC enchants, but the are pretty hard to get . You have to do the same fishing contest that you have to do to get the Lucky Fishing Hat, look at the head amour to see details. Sanguine Sandals are a world drop and the have to buy them from the AH.
Ring 1: Seal of Wrynn [+3 sprit, +3agi, +3 strength, +4 int, +4 stam] alliance only or Seal of Sylvanas [+8 stam, +3 strength] horde only: You can get seal of wrynn from a quest which starts with a quest item called An Unsent Letter, which drops for VanCleef which is the last boss in Deadmines You can only start the Quest at lvl 16, and has about 12 other quests for you to do before you get seal of wrynn, most of it is running around stormwind talking to people but you will need to run stockades and at the last chain to the quest you will have to kill 2 lvl 30’s to complete the quest to get the ring.
Yiu can get Seal of Sylvanas from the Quest called Arugal Must Die, you get the quest from Dalar Dawnweaver in Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. Quest can only be obtained at lvl 19 and it isnt a chain quest unlike the quest for Seal of Wrynn.
Ring 2: Advisor's Ring [+2 stam,+5 spell damage and healing, +2 mana every 5 seconds] Horde only or Lorekeeper's Ring [+2 stam,+5 spell damage and healing, +2 mana every 5 seconds] alliance only or Lavishly Jeweled Ring [+6 int , 2 spell hit rating]: Advisor's Ring can be bought from a pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in Barrens for about 65 honor and 20 warsong marks. Lorekeeper's Ring can be bought from a pvp vendor in silverwing grove in ashenvale for about 65 honor and 20 warsong marks. Lavishly Jeweled Ring drops from the 3rd boss in deadmines (vc).
Trinket 1: Arena Grand Master [Equip: +12 dodge rating, Use: Absorbs 750 to 1500 damage for 20 sec, 15 min cool down] or Minor Recombobulator [Use: Dispels Polymorph effects on a friendly target. Also restores 150 to 250 health and mana]:
Now here is where it gets really hard. The Arena Grand Master is a powerful trinket that can be used by anyone at any lvl but it is really hard to get. To get the Arena Grand Master you will have to go to the Gurubashi Arena in STV and open the chest, which appears every 3 hours (12, 3, 6, 9, etc).
You will need about a 4 lvl 70’s to absolutely guarantee that your twink will get the chest. Every time you open the chest you will get one of these ,Arena Master, to get Arena Grand Master you need to get 12 Arena Master and trade them in to the goblin in the arena to get it. The quest to get it is repeatable but I wouldn’t recommend getting 2 Arena Grand Master since it will take too long to get them all.
Trinket 2: Insignia of the Alliance or Insignia of the horde [Use: Dispels all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character.]: This can be bought from a vendor in the Champions hall which can be found in Old town. It will cost you 2805 honor which takes a while to accumulate. Not sure where the horde one is.
WEAPON LIST:
2 Hand Weapon: Witching Stave [+8 int, +8 shadow damage] or Emberstone Staff [+5 stam, +8 int] or Lorekeeper's Staff [+8 stam, +4 int, +3 mana per 5 seconds] or Advisor's Gnarled Staff [+8 stam, +4 int, +3 mana per 5 seconds]: The Witching Stave drops from the trash mobs in SFK (Shadow Fang Keep ), it has a 0.01% drop rate, so your better off buying it from the AH. Emberstone Staff drops from Captain Greenskin in Deadmines, you can find him on the ship. Lorekeeper's Staff can be bought from the pvp vendor in silverwing grove for 40 warsong marks and 428 honor. Advisor's Gnarled Staff can be bought from the pvp vendor in silverwing grove for 40 warsong marks and 428 honor.
1 Hand Weapons: Evocator's Blade [+4 int, +2 sprit] or Dawnblade [5 stam] horde only: Evocator’s blade drops from the trash mobs in BFD (black fathom deeps), it has a 0.01% drop rate, so again it is better off bought from the AH. Downblade can only be acquired by horde thru a quest in Ghostlands.
Off hand: Everglow Lantern [+3 sprit, use: Heals your target for 135 to 165 hp] alliance only or Totem of Infliction [+50 armor, Equip: When struck in combat has a 1% chance of inflicting 75 to 125 Shadow damage] alliance only or Buccaneer's Orb of … [intellect +5 int or eagle +3 stam, +3int] or Furbolg Medicine Pouch [+10 stam, Use: heals you for 1000hp over 10 seconds] or Antipodean Rod [+6 spell damage for frost and fire spells]: Everglow lantern is a quest reward from a quest at Maestra's Post in ashenvale, you can get the quest at lvl 19, so make sure you have done your twink before getting this offhand, if you decide to get it. Totem of infliction is a quest reward from a quest in duskwood, the quest can be obtained at lvl 18. Buccaneer's Orb of …. drops off a couple of humanoids but it mainly drops in stockades from the trash mobs, for a full list of what this drops off, look it up on thottbot.
Furbolg Medicine Pouch is a faction reward from the Timbermaw hold, you have to be honored with them to buy it and you will need the help of a high lvl to get it, you have to farm the rep from killing the deadwood furblogs in felwood, which will take a couple of days to get honored with them, It takes a while to get but it is worth it for this awesome offhand. Antipodean Rod is a world drop so it will have to be bought from the AH, this is only useful for mages
Wand: Gravestone Scepter [+1 sprit, +5 shadow resistance]:
You can get Gravestone Scepter from a quest in BFD, you can get the start of the quest in BFD and the hand in for it is in Darnassus, for alliance and Thunder bluff for horde, you can get the quest at lvl 18. This is the very BEST wand you can get.
Enchant list:
Head: 100hp (Libram of Constitution/Lesser Arcanum of Constitution)
Back: +70 armor
Chest: +100 hp or + 100 mana or +4 to stats
Bracers: +9 stam or + 9 intellect or +24 healing and +8 Spell damage
Legs: Runic Spellthread (+35 spell damage, +35 healing, +20 stamina)
Silver Spellthread (+16 spell damage, +46 healing, +15 stamina)
Golden Spellthread (+22 spell damage, +66 healing, +20 stamina)
Mystic Spellthread (+25 spell damage, +25 healing, +15 stamina)
You will need a lvl 60 plus to apply these to your pants, and to do this, you MUST not equip them till you have traded them to somone to apply it to your pants, this cant be down in the will not be traded slot.
Gloves: +9 stam or +9 int or +30 healing and +10 spell damage
Feet: minor speed increase or
Boar's Speed (Minor Speed / +9 Stamina); require's level 35+ item. Only applicable to Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots in the 10-19 and 20-29 brackets.
Cat's Swiftness (Minor Speed / +6 Agility); also require's level 35+ item. Only applicable to Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots in the 10-19 and 20-29 brackets.
2h: +55 healing and +19 spell damage or +30 spelldamage and +30 healing or +22 int
1h: +55 healing and +19 spell damage or +30 spelldamage and +30 healing or +22 int
Warlock Strategy:
For a Warlock, you will want a lot of stamina because you can life tap to convert 65 health to 65 mana (you can increase the mana bonus thru your spec), most 19 twink warlocks that I have seen, have over 2K hp and about 500 to 700 mana, which all DPS twinks hate, since they are a pain to kill. So use your mass amount of stamina to your advantage.
In WSG you should just dot one guy up, then move onto the next and use Drain soul when you see someone get really low on health, so you can get a soul shard or use drain life when you get low on health to heal yourself and you can turn the hp to mana with life tap again.
When you got someone on you, this is what you do, fear then dot him and get your pet to attack him, try to keep him away from you at all times, and to watch that your health doesn’t get too low, and to redot when the dots are close to running out. If you are out of mana and you don’t want to risk doing any life taps, just use your 29 dps wand to keep doing the damage.
Pet: For your pet, it depends on your style and what you want.
Imp: The imp gives you extra health bonus (about 70Hp) thru blood pact and imp’s can hit targets better when they are feared unlike Voidwalkers which can’t hit the target half the time. In your talents, you can improve your imp’s damage, and blood pact bonus by up to 30%, so if you have done this, then I would go with the imp.
Voidwalker: The only reason you would use a Voidwalker is for Voidwalker sacrifice which absorbs 300 damage and is a must in BG’s.
Priest Strategy: Now it depends what you want to do, be a healer or go dps. Now if you go dps you will want a lot of spell damage and a fair amount of intellect, but most of the gear that you get will give you + healing as well but if you concentrate on getting pure healing gear, then your healing will be about 100 points different if you went DPS. If you decide to go with a healing priest then everyone will love you for it, there is a big shortage of twink healers so it is rare to see a fully decked out healing priest.
Now if you decide to be a healer, just stay back and heal everyone and rebuff anyone that you see, but watch out cause rogues are more likely to come and kill you, so just use your shield and fear them and dps them with your dots and stuff, even if you are a healer, you can still do some serious damage just dps priest will do more. If you run out of mana, use your wand which does about 30dps, not including you extra spell damage which will boost the damage that your wand does.
Mage Strategy: For a mage you will want to have a lot of spell damage and a fair amount of intellect and your enchants should be +mana, + health and + spell damage. Now for a mage you will want to stay back and dps them with your spells, and when you use up most of your mana, just use your wand which will deliver a good amount of dps till your mana regains.
A couple of times, you should use frost nova to freeze the horde in place and this will stop them from attacking your group for a while, this also works well when your are covering the flag runner, or if you are the flag runner.

Guides about the Druid Class.
When I first began playing WoW, I became a Druid. I chose this class because I wanted to heal. The trouble is, I wasn't very good at it, so this guide is designed to help you heal at a low level on a druid. First, I will talk you through a few useful spells.
Healing Spells
Healing Touch: Your basic healing spell. Has a 1.5 second cast at the start, which increases to 3.5, so make sure that you don't use this at the last minute.
Rejuvenation: Instant cast Healing-Over-Time spell. You might want to put this on the tank at the start of a big pull or boss, just to be safe. This spell can be effective if used properly, as you can put this on whoever is losing health, and then Healing Touch.
Regrowth: Probably my favourite healing spell in the Druid's arsenal, as it has a fast cast time, and it heals both instant and over-time. Very useful for making sure a tank stays alive. What you might want to do in a very big pull is, put Rejuvenation on the tank, followed by this, followed by Healing Touch.
Cure Poison: Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Rebirth: Druid ressurection spell. Fast cast time, can be used in combat, BUT it has a 20 Minute Cooldown and take Regeants. If everybody but you dies, make sure you Ressurect another healer to get the rest Live and Kicking!
Abolish Poison: Exactly the same as Cure Poison, but this makes you lose poison effects for 8 seconds afterwards.
Remove Curse: Dispells a curse...
Tranquillity: VERY useful spell when used correctly. It's an AoE healing spell, with high mana cost, high threat and 10 minute cooldown. Really if you want to use this spell you should invest two talent points in Improved Tranquillity, which will basically delete the Threat.
Lifebloom: Don't get this spell till level 64, so I have never used it. Basically, it is an instant cast Healing-Over-Time that when the duration finishes, it heals the target. Kind of like a Backwards Regrowth.
Buff Spells
Mark of the Wild: Your basic Buff. Gives the Target Armour, Stats and Reistance. What more could you ask?
Thorns: Makes anyone that hits you hurt. Very low damage, I don't know why I bother using it.
Gift of the Wild Don't learn till 50. Just a better version of Mark of the Wild.
So that just about covers all the spells you'll need for healing in Instances. Let's move onto Gear now.
Gear
For a Healer I reccommened HIGH Intellect, and HIGH Spirit. Also you might want to get some +Healing items. But while you're concentrating on these stats, make sure you get some Stamina (to make sure you stay alive).
Weapon: For a weapon I suggest a staff, as they mainly have good Intellect and Spirit boosts.
Armour: As far as armour goes, all a Druid needs is Leather. Some Druid healers like to get cloth gloves and/or boots, because they have the least armour in the first place, but I prefer to just stik to Leather. If your buying things off the AH, I recommend that Armour is the last thing you look at, but that doesn't mean you should completly neglect it.
Rings/Necklace: I tend to get +Healing and Damage spells on my rings, and just normal stats on Necklace, No real reason for that, it's just what I do.
Trinkets: If your getting a Trinket, you have to ask yourself 'Am I actully going to use this?' because most Trinkets you have to use. I stay away from the Use ones, and try to focus on the Equip ones.
** In Progress **
This guide will take you through the three talent trees of a Druid, helping you to decide which one to take.
Balance:
The Balance Talents are intended to make a Druid into a more capable caster. It becomes easier to root enemies, while more damage/more efficient damage is dealt due to improvements to Wrath, Moonfire and Starfire. The end point of the Balance Talents is the ability to shapeshift into Moonkin Form. This allows casting Druids to use their Balance attack abilities from a form that is much more survivable.
Feral Combat:
Feral Combat Talents allow your Bear Forms to survive longer, mitigate more damage, and disrupt enemies more easily. They also allow your cat form to deal more damage and and act with greater stealth. The line culminates in an aura that raises physical critical rates in your nearby group by 3%. This is the fastest Talent line for leveling your character because of the reduced down time. Solo Druids benefit tremendously from the Feral Combat line.
Restoration:
Though lowest on damage and survivability, the Restoration Druid line turns characters into healers. Greater mana efficiency, faster healing times, reduced interruption chances and threat from heals, and other such Talents are in this line. Druids that work with dungeon groups get the most use of the Restoration line, while solo druids have perhaps the least to gain from it.
Thanks for reading this guide, keep a look out for guides explaining all the other classes Talent Tree's and hopefully helping you to decide which one to choose!

Race
The Night Elves and the Tauren are the races that are able to be Druids in World of Warcraft. That's one Alliance race and one Horde race. So, the key thing to look at is: if you want to play Alliance, you have to make a Night Elf; if you want to play Horde, you need to make a Tauren.
Night Elf:
----------
17 Strength
28 Agility
20 Stamina
20 Intellect
21 Spirit
55 Armor
46 Health
85 Mana
Racial Triats:
Shadowmeld (active)
-Activate while immobile and out of combat to enter stealth mode
-Lasts until canceled
-10 second cooldown
Quickness (passive)
-Dodge chance increased by 1%
Wisp Spirit (passive)
-Become a wisp when dead with a movement speed increase of 50%
-25% faster then normal ghosts
Nature Resistance
-+10 to nature resistance
Night Elves start in Teldrasill. Shadowmeld is a great move, it allows you to eat/drink and do other things you do not want to be interupted in, while in the middle of the wildernesss. Quickness is handy, and more noticable then it seems. Wisp Spirit is definitly a big plus, as you will be runnig back to your corspe a lot. The extra nature resistance is always good.
Tauren:
-------
26 Strength
15 Agility
22 Stamina
17 Intellect
24 Spirit
35 Armor
78 Health
67 Mana
Racial Traits:
War Stomp (active)
-Activate to stun up to 5 opponents within 8 yards
-Lasts 2 seconds
-2 minute cooldown
Endurance (passive)
-Max health increased by 5%
Cultivation (passive)
-Herbalism increased by 15
Nature Resistance (passive)
-+10 to nature resistance
Tauren start in Mulgore. War Stomp is arguably one of the best racial traits in the game. It allows you to stun multiple enemys; Druids lack stun abilites. The extra health is always good, especially when in bear form. Cultivation is only useful if you have herbalism, but it does help to do the Driud poison quest. The quest requires earthroot, and you need 15 herbalism to pick earthroot. Tauren start with 15 herbalism. The extra nature resistance is always good.
Your equipment, talent spec and playing style makes most of your Druid, your race doesn't matter too much. Neither race makes that much of a better druid.
Professions
Professions don't affect you too much, but they will be a major helping hand in the game.
Alchemy and Herbalism
---------------------
Alchemy allows you to make potions. These can range from simple health and mana potions to potions that buff your stats. Herbalism is used to gather the main ingredient for alchemy, herbs. Alchemy is useful because you will have all the potions you need, but isn't really a big money maker. Alchemists can also transmute ores into other ores. Transmuting can make a bit of money, but only high level alchemists can transmute.
Mining and Engineering
----------------------
Engineerers can make all sorts of gadgets and gizmos. They can also make guns and bullets for Hunters. The only problem with engineering is that for some reason, most things you make can only be used by engineers. So, don't expect big money here. Mining allows you to mine ores required for engenieering.
Leatherworking and Skinning
---------------------------
Using the skins from beasts, you can create your own leather armor. It is nice to be able to make your own armor, but eventually it will become obsolete. Skinning doesn't require a tracker so that's a plus. At level 225, you can branch off into three different schools of leatherwork. Tribal is considered a continuation of your basic leatherwork, Elemental adds resistances to your armor and Dragonscale creates mail armor.
Enchanting
----------
Using enchanting, you can put enchants, or stat boosts, on items. The only problem is, you need to dis-enchant green items or better, to get the materials. Enchanting takes a long time to level, and is probably not good for your first character. Enchanting can make a lot of money when you get to the higher level enchants.
Blacksmithing and Tailoring
---------------------------
These two professions are not suited for Druids. We can't wear mail armor, and cloth armor is below us. The weapons you can make in blacksmithing are not worth the time it takes to gather the reagents.
Secondary Professions
---------------------
First Aid:
Even though Druids can heal, first aid is still useful. It can reduce a lot of downtime, and save mana. First aid uses the cloth and wool drops from humanoid monsters to create bandages that replenish health and mana, and cure poison.
Fishing:
Fishing is fairly useless, and very boring. It is a must have for alchemists, as alchemists need the oils from special fish.
Cooking:
Cooking is needed to cook the fish you catch. Some foods you can cook give special 'Well Fed' buffs, that increase your stats.

Hi! And welcome to my page for my series of leveling guides!
NOTICE
Due to some a$$h013 (if you'll excuse the 1337sp34k) hacking 2 of my accounts, (one which had the priest and the mage WIP's and the other having a druid WIP) those 3 guides, are postponed indefinately. Sorry for anyone who was waiting for them, but I dont have the willpower to level all of them back up again. Sadly, due to a g0dd4mn HD crash i also lost the WIP for the 3 guides so i cant even post an incomplete version
. Again sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused. I really wish i could get them to you in a finished state, but i dont have the time
However, that doesnt mean i wont be updating any of the old guides that are still written. I'm still working on compiling a full lootlist for palladins and hunters. Untill then, happy wow'ing!
Hakker's In Depth Hunter Guide v1.0
Changelog
v1.1: Ooops, put on top level! fixed now
Hi, this is my third guide for this website and i chose to write it about hunters. Hunters are the third class i got to 60 (first being palladin then warlock) I really love them for there ability to kill mobs FAST and level at power rates. It has been said that hunters are the fastest levelers in the game, and i found that true as i got my hunter to 60 at 6 days /played.
This build focuses around a Beastmastery type build. Beastmastery has been proven to be best for leveling because of its awesome talents in improving your damage output and the output of your pet. Ive found that my pet can sometimes kill things just as fast as i can on some mobs. This build uses a different type of attack style than most people would think of for a ranged class, but i'll get into that later.
Leveling Talents
10-14: Endurance Training 5/5
15-17: Thick Hide 3/3
18-19: Improved Revive Pet 2/2 (this helps lower downtime)
20: Bestial Swiftness 1/1
21-25: Unleashed fury 5/5
26: Improved Mend Pet 1/2

How to use this build
First, use aspect of the hawk while not running. Send your pet in on the target and make sure you get ONE hit on it, then change targets and start killing it WHILE KEEPING YOUR PET ON THE FIRST TARGET. This way you can kill two mobs at once increasing your xp gain. If you finish first target another one and start attacking it, then when your pets done send it after another mob, when your done with your mob make ONE attack on your pets target and then start attacking another mob. Rinse and repeat until you need to first aid/drink. There are some points when this doesnt work however, so just both of you kill the same mobs when you get to these points.
What gear should i get?
Mostly look for "of the mongoose" items or some "of the eagle". Of the falcon is always nice too. Basically anything with agility or intellect. For a weapon i reccomend sticking to bows (unless your a dwarf). always try and have the best dps bow for your level. For a melee weapon i would stick to the same type of weapon the entire game. for example i knew a hunter who stuck with staffs the entire game because thats what he started with. Hunters dont really get a chance to show there melee skills so they dont have alot of chances to up there weapon skills.
Gear to look out for

(More Comming Soon, Still working on the complete list)
This is all so far, i plan on adding much more to this guide as far as builds and loot lists. I really hope you
Changelog
Version 1.0: Im going to try and update this build a lot similar to my warlock guide. I plan on having many of the same sections i did there. This build is NOT complete yet
Hi, this is my second guide for this sight, and obviously i like classes that get free mounts! (my first guide was about warlocks). This guide focuses around a Tri-Way Retribution build, although rarely used, I've found it to be the fastest leveling build that I've tried.
Talents
10-14: 5/5 Improved Devotion Aura
15-19: 3/3 Precision And 2/2Guardians Favor (do this in any order you want)
20: 1/1 Blessing of Kings
21-25: 5/5 Improved Blessing of Might
26-28: 3/3Improved Seal of the Crusader
28-30: 2/2 Improved Judgments
31-35: 5/5 Conviction
36: 1/1 Seal of Command
37-38: 2/2 Eye for an Eye
39-41: 3/3 Crusade
42-44: 3/3 Two Handed Weapon Specialization
45: 1/1 Sancity Aura
46-50: 5/5 Vengeance
51-53: 3/3 Sanctified Judgment
54: 1/1 Repentance
55-57: 3/3 Sanctified Crusader
58-62: 5/5 Fanaticism
63: 1/1 Crusader Strike
64-68: 5/5 Divine Strength
69-70: You can really do anything with these last points, I recommend Benediction or Improved Sancity Aura
How to use this build
This build is much more straightforward than my warlock build, but basically, use seal of the crusader, judge it, and then use seal of command. From then on spam your crusader strike until the mob is dead, reapply seals if necessary. If you need to you can use judgment of light for an added healing bonus to reduce downtime. Or you could use judgment of wisdom for mana Regen. For blessings i recommend using Blessing of Kings, or if you really want to blessing of might.
Gear Selection
+holy damage/damage is necessary for this build to work. stack that for crusader strike. Otherwise keep an eye out for 'Of the Eagle' Gear. This gear was basically made for paladins. ALWAYS look for mail gear before 40, past that, theres really no point in getting mail unless the buffs to you are a lot compared to the armor loss.
My Stand on Teir 0/0.5
Typically i would not recommend getting t0/t.5 because there are much better options for this level, sure the bonuses are great (and paladins look sexy in it ((except for the helm Sticking out tongue)) ^^), stat wise there are much much better options.
How to Level
Grind and quest at the same time. Either look for multiple quests that involve killing the same mobs, or look for multiple quests in the same areas. The more quests you can get done before running back to turn in, the faster your leveling will go. Also, remember to set your hearth to new places frequently. Every time you plan to level in a new place for more than an hour, set your hearth there, as the time saved by teleporting back to the nearest down instead of running is incredible. Perfect guides on where to find these areas can be found here:

Brian Kopp's Leveling Guide- You can *~(BUY)~* this guide at www.briankopp.com
If you have the money to spend, i recommend brian's/joana's guides, but otherwise jame's guide is awesome for a free guide. If you REALLY have to have joana's/kopp's guide you can download it from Bit torrent or Lime wire or other p2p utilities. However ****~~~~~(USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK)~~~~~****
While the last one is meant for mage, it shows some good grinding areas.
Thats all so far, I hope this helped you level your paladin Smiling GoodLuck!

Version 2 Update: There is now a 60-70 section for talents
Version 2.1 Update: Added a section for equipment you should look out for
Version 2.2 Update: Added a link to wowmb.com, an awesome warlock website
Version 2.3 Update: Added an alternative build for 60-70
Version 3.0 Update: Added more builds for PVP and Raiding
Version 3.1 Update: Revised some pvp builds and corrected errors
Drain Tanking Build
Many people who play the Warlock in the begging think that the most successful way to level is to put your DOTS (Damage Over Time Spell) on the target then fear and shadow bolt to death. Not only is this dangerous, but It
is also very mana consuming and you will experience more downtime than you would using a common drain-tanking build. That is what we will be focusing on in this guide.
Note about Drain Tanking:
Few realize that Drain-Tanking is nearly useless before level 30, due to the weakness of the lower versions of the Drain Life spell. So for the first 19 levels just use the method of placing your DOTS on the
target and shadow bolting to death.
Talents:
1-9: Do your lowbie quests. Should take 2-3 hours.
10-14: 5/5 Improved Corruption
15: 1/5 Demonic Embrace
16-18: 3/3 Improved Imp (For the instances you should be running right now)
19: 2/5 Demonic Embrace
20-22: Improved VW
23-25: 5/5 Demonic Embrace
26: 1/1 Fel Domination
27-29: 3/5 Fel Stamina
Level 29 Spec
Using the method during this stage
10-29: Stack all your DoTs on a mob, send in the VW, stack all your DoTs on a second mob, and then wand the second mob to death. Repeat until low health, and then bandage/Consume Shadows. Each level should take about an hour, moving towards an hour and a half as you get closer to 30. If they are taking longer, figure out what the problem is (mobs too far apart, mobs have too much life, too much downtime) and move to an area that solves it.
Respec #1 (Level 30)
30: Respec to:
Affliction Tree
5/5 Improved Corruption
2/2 Improved Drain Life
2/2 Improved Life Tap
2/2 Drain Soul
1/2 Improved Curse Of Weakness (filler)
5/5 Fel Concentration
2/2 Nightfall
2/2 Grim Reach
31: 1/1 Siphon life
32-34: 3/5 Suppression
35-39: 5/5 Shadow Mastery
40: 1/1 Dark Pact
41-45: 5/5 Demonic Embrace
46-49: 4/5 Fel Intellect
Using the method during this stage
30-49: Drain Tank: Load the mob up on DoTs, send in the Succubus, cast Drain Life while the mob beats on you, rinse and repeat. At 40-49 keep using this method but instead of Life Tapping, use Dark Pact. A good rule of thumb is, DP only if your pet is over 50% mana, because if they run out it will slow your fighting time down. The easiest way to do this is to turn off all autocast abilities on your Succubus, and remember to DPing during the fight (rather than after) as a good time-saver because your DoTs will help keep up the DPS.
Respec #2 (Level 50)
50: Respec to:
Afliction Tree
5/5 Improved Corruption
2/2 Improved Lifetap
2/2 Improved Drain Life
1/2 Improved Drain Soul (filler)
5/5 Fel Concentration
2/2 Grim Reach
2/2 Nightfall
1/1 Amplify Curse
Demonology Tree
5/5 Demonic Embrace
3/3 Improved Imp
3/3 Improved VW
3/3 Improved Succubus
1/1 Fel Domination
2/2 Master Summoner
3/5 Unholy Power
1/1 Demonic Sacrifice
51: 1/1 Siphon Life
52: 1/1 Curse of Exaustion
53-55: 3/4 Improved Curse of Exaustion
56-60: 5/5 Shadow Mastery
grats on 60
Using the method during this stage
50-59: The Drain Tanking gets even better now. By Demonic Sacrificing your pet, you are able to regen even more life per fight, keeping up with increasing monster damage, while still 'Tapping up to full mana whenever you want because of the passive regen.
60: You are now specced SM/DS, which is generally accepted to be best grinding spec pre-burning crusade
Section 2: 60-70
Talents:
Respec to the following:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=NyMriRfzqtbo0x
61: 5/5 suppression
62-64: 3/3 Fel Intellect
65-66: 2/2 Imp Health stone
67: 1/1 Fel Domination
68-70: 3/3 Demonic Aegis
grats on 70
Level 70 Build:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=NEMriRfzqtbobxczc
Alternative 60-70 Build
This build is meant to keep your regeneration high, and reduce downtime, at the cost of damage output
Respec to the following
61: 1/1 Fel Domination
62-64: Demonic Aegis
65-66: Master Summoner
67-69: 3/3 Fel Stamina
70: Demonic Sacrafice
How to use the method at this stage:
Stack your dots on the target, and use the traditional drain tanking method. Just about every mob you face should be able to be down able with taking little to no damage. I recommend using the succubus during this stage.
How to level:
Grind and quest at the same time. Either look for multiple quests that involve killing the same mobs, or look for multiple quests in the same areas. The more quests you can get done before running back to turn in, the faster your leveling will go. Also, remember to set your hearth to new places frequently. Every time you plan to level in a new place for more than an hour, set your hearth there, as the time saved by teleporting back to the nearest down instead of running is incredible. Perfect guides on where to find these areas can be found here:
James' Leveling Guides - http://www.wow-pro.com/node/692
Proxy/Vince's Mage Leveling Guide - http://home.comcast.net/~mxnvincent/mage.htm
While the last one is meant for mage, it shows some good grinding areas.
Equipment Choice:
I found that during early levels it was best to focus on +sta, and at around 35 or so to switch to +shadow or +dmg. If you are specced into affliction and are drain tanking, +dmg will be vastly superior to +sta. You kill the mobs much faster for the same mana, and heal yourself that much faster.
Up until about level 40 you should stack +sta and "of the Eagle" gear. At 30, start looking for Shadoweave gear, and around 40 switch into it. Full Shadoweave can be made by tailors, and will give a bonus of +114 shadow damage, along with some Int and Sta, and can be equipped at level 44.
In general, while using Dark Pact I stack as much +damage gear as possible, and while using Demonic Sacrifice, I stack as much +sta gear as possible, while keeping a minimum of +100 dmg.
I also go against using a staff, a good dagger/sword and an offhand in my opinion is way better than a staff. Think about it, with a staff you get some nice stats, occasionally an effect. With a dagger/sword and an offhand, you get stats on the weapon and sometimes an effect, AND on the offhand you can get ADDITIONAL stats AND another effect! sounds good doesn't it?

Hunter Twink Guide
Patch Version: 2.4.1
Hunter's make great twink's in the 10-19 PvP bracket. They are versitile and fun to play, and are one of the most powerful class's at this level.
The definition of a twink is a character that obtains the best gear, and is at the top of a PvP bracket. They are usually level 19 or 29, but can be higher. In this guide I will be discussing the Hunter in the 10-19 PvP bracket.

Race's
Dwarf
Stoneform - Immunity to bleed, poison and disease and +10% Armor for 8 seconds
Gun Specialization - +5 Gun Skill
Frost Resistance - +5 Frost Resistance
Find Treasure - Chests marked on mini-map
Night Elf:
Wisp Spirit - 50% Ghost Movement Speed Increase
Shawdowmeld - Stealth without movement
Quickness - +1% Dodge Rating
Nature Resistance - +10 Nature Resistance
Draenei
Gemcutting - +5 Jewelcrafting
Gift of Naaru - Heal of Time, 50 + 15/Level over 15 seconds
Heroic Presence - Chance of hit +1% for party
Shawdow Resistance - +10 Shadow Resistance
The race's are all pretty even when choosing for a twink, but in my opinion the dwarf would be a slightly better Hunter. Immunity to poison/bleed/disease will help. Having said that, Shadowmeld is a powerful PvP skill, especially when defending the flag. A heal over time isn't that useful against burst damage.
Talents
This are some good talents that you should consider:
Lethal Shots - +5% to range critical
Humanoid Slaying - +3% damage and critical to humanoids
Hawk Eye - +6 yards to range weapons
Improved Aspect of the Hawk - 10% chance of increasing range attack speed by 15% for 12 seconds
Lethal Shots is a must. Mix and match, and decide what's right for you. I personally use Improved Aspect of the Hawk and Lethal Shots.
Pets
Due to the change in Patch 2.0.1, making all pets attack speed 2.0, boars are now the best pet to have. The skills boars can learn at level 19 are Bite, Charge and Gore. You will be able to learn Bite rank 3, Charge rank 2 and Gore rank 3. Charge is a unique skill only obtainable by boars, stunning the enemy for one second. In PvP, 1 second feels like a long time. If you train a Great Goretusk in Redridge Mountains, you get Charge rank 2 and Gore rank 3 right of the bat. You should also learn resistances to what you think is the most common forms of magic (frost, fire and shadow most likely). With any remaining training points, pick up natural armor/greater stamina.
Strategy
In most 1v1 cases you should be able to win. If you have the element of suprise, use Arcane Shot, Serpant Sting and send your boar to charge. If not, just charge ASAP. Then, Raptor Strike, apply Wing Clip and run back to shooting range. Arcane Shot whenever you can an reapply Serpant Sting if it runs out. After one or two shots run back in for another Raptor Strike/Wing Clip combo. If they try to run, Concussive Shot then use Multi Shot/Arcane Shot to finish them off.
More to be added soon
ok this is pretty much just a tip but here it is. Be full beast mastery spec, in a fight but your pet on one monster and get one shot on it (if you don't it doesn't count for you)then you go kill something else and when your pet is done put it on another thing(again one shot). If you beat your pet then just attack something else yourself, keep doing this until you're about to die, theres nothing else, or you just want to loot.
FIGHTING
Ok hunters aren't exactly good at close up fighting and since you're putting your pet on something else thats whats gonna end up happeninng. So this is what i do:
first i put concussive shot on them and when they're walking all slow put on serpant sting , and i use arcane shot .
When they start getting close use immolation trap don't use explosive because that is an area of effect and the other steps will have you moving so it will leave the aoe and not effect it anymore, immolation trap is damage over time and no matter where they go it will still hurt them.
Now use wing clip and turn around and run(if you walk backwards you're just as slow as they are) turn around when there aren't any little red dots in the top right corners of your ranged skills and then use another arcane shot or if the thing your pet is fighting is close enough use a multi shot just to help your pet a little.
Keep doing this until wing clip fades then use a raptor strike or mongosse bite and then use wing clip and by now serpant sting might have worn off so use it again but if it hasn't use arcane shot.
If what you're fighting is still not dead keep doing the wing clip thing.
you should be able to kill about 3-5 monsters doing this , and that concludes my guide.
This is a basic overview of how to kite as a hunter.
Before you start, you need to know how to do a few things:
1. Lure mobs to a trap. This isnt hard, but you need to be able to consistently lead a mob over your trap.
2. Jump shot: if you learned 1 thing from this guide, i would want you to learn this. it is a common technique, but i rarely see it used among non 60-70 hunters.
How it works:
1. Run away from the target (more on this later)
2. Hold down the right mouse button (camera control)
3. Jump
4. AS SOON AS YOU JUMP, move the camera (holding right mouse) 90-180 degrees, and fire an shot.
5. BEFORE LANDING, move the camera to its original position when you are running away.
So, the first thing you will need in kiting is an instant cast skill. Instant casts include Arcane, Concussive, and Scatter shot, and stings. Your auto-shot is NOT instant, and wont work for this.
Kiting Preparations:
1. Make sure you have a clear path. Set tracking to the common enemy in the area. (i.e. beasts in barrens).
2. Turn on Aspect of the Cheetah (if you have it)
3. DISABLE growl on your pet. if you plan to kite, its not necessary since you will hold aggro.
4. Ranged mobs are kitable, but cannot be kited in circles.
How to kite:
1. pull the mob from MAXIMUM range. i highly reccomend 3 points in Hawk Eye for the bonus 6 yds range.
2. Fire your opening shot (arcane, aimed, auto) and attack with your pet, then fire a serpent sting. as soon as the serpent sting goes off, turn to run.
3. Run away from the target. As soon as your skills are cooled, jump shot with arcane shot.
4. Rinse and repeat- reapply serpent sting as necessary, and keep using jumpshot with arcane.
How to kite against fast mobs/without aspect of the cheetah:
(i sometimes use aspect of the viper against high hp mobs so i can cast longer)
1. Start the same way as a normal kite.
2. As soon as the mob gets ~20 yards away, drop a frost trap (not freezing, it doesnt help for kiting). Entrapment isnt necessary.
3. As soon as the mob gets within 5-10 yards of the trap, (use left mouse to look behind you) jumpshot with concussive shot. This will keep the mob stuck in the frost trap longer, allowing you to get back to max range.
4. Repeat! if the shots miss/mob resists trap, use scattershot.
5. If that misses as well or you dont have it, disable aspect of the cheetah (if its not on already) then do an about face (like jumpshot without jump) and wing clip. make sure that the mob doesnt get to hit you in the back, or you can get dazed.
6. only do this ONCE. if it doesnt take the first time, feign death, then get far away and resume.
Notes: It helps to have a pet with dash, so they can keep the damage up.
Feign Death will divert the mobs attention to your pet, since it has been attacking. if it doesnt, prep a freezing trap, and tank 1-2 hits to ensure it catches the mob.
I hope this helps!
Hunter PVP Guide
This guide will help you learn how to fight versus other classes. It requires you to be at least 70 cause you may use abilites that are not available for low-levels.In my opinion gear is not that important for pvp but of course you cant fight with useless green items or win someone with Vengeful Gladiators if u dont have the proper gear.Since there are a lot of hunters which use different specs for pvp, i'm going to analyse how every type of hunter is going to fight.
BM HUNTER
vs Druids
Feral Druid : They are one of the most easy opponents for hunters. They will normally start with cat form, so all u have to do is to activate your "Track Hidden" ability and throw a Flare. If u manage to see the druid before he attacks u just start kiting him. If he attacks first just click "Bestial Wrath", use a "Wing Clip" and start kiting him. Usually druids tend to shapeshift in bear form after that. They will charge you but u dont have to worry as long as you are enraged. When "Bestial Wrath" is done you can simply fear druid with "Scare Beast". A good druid will avoid that by shapeshifting in normal form and then again in bear/cat so you have to be careful. All you have to do is just fear/trap/slow him and kiting him untill he is dead. Some druids when they see that they have low health they will try to heal themselfs. It's an important phase of your fight because if the druid heal himself then the battle will take a lot of time.Just use "Intimidation" and immediatly an "Aimed Shot". If u think that's not enough, then pop up your trinkets and "Rapid Fire" to take him down quickly.
Balance Druids : That type of druid is really hard. They will get in Moonkin Form, that is something that hunters hate because of the high armor and the possibility that druid will cast spells. They are really difficult encounters and your only hope is to pop up all your CDs (trinkets,Rapid Fire,Bestial Wrath) so you will do as much damage as possible. Remember to keep your "Intimidation" ability in case they're going to heal themselfs and use "Feign Death" when they cast a skill like "Wrath", otherwise you will get nuked really easy.
Restoration Druids : Probably the most difficult druid a hunter can face. Their goal is to burn your mana so they will easily beat you. The best you can do is to use the tactic of Feral Druid when they are in bear/cat form and use "Viper Sting" when they are not shapeshifted, so you will make them unable to cast spells or heal themselfs. Their heals are extremely good and if they manage to heal themselfs easily prepare to lose.
vs Hunters
I'm not going to say tactics for each hunter's spec as long as they dont have big differences.A fight vs Hunters is a gear vs gear fight. Although there are some tips you have to know.
1)Use "Feign Death", so the other hunter will lose his target for a while and u will be able to deal some damage, while the other hunter will try to get his target back.
2)Bestial Wrath is very effective vs MM hunters because they interrupt their casting skills (ex. Aimed Shot)
3)Have your mouse pointer over the other hunter so you will be able to aim him immediatly in case he uses feign death.
4)Use "Intimidation" to get advantage in damage dealing
5)Dont use casting skills like "Aimed Shot". They will get too much time untill they will be casted and the opponent will interrupt your skill+nuke you easily.
More info coming soon give me some time

Hello, this is my first guide on WoWPro and its about my favorite class, hunter.
I have leveled a Hunter from 1-50+ now and its not the 70 like you know, but i have had my fair share of problems and breakthroughs.
Now, firstly for leveling a hunter, you should use Jame's guide. I have tried it and it is perfect for hunters and other classes alike.
Secondly: Mods
I play unmodded but i like to have the extra Action Bars in the interface.
If you want some good ones just take a peek at Jame's suggestions

Introduction
My 40 something hunter was constantly running out of Mana - stopping for drinks really slows down grinding. And a hunter's life without mana is no fun - DPS drops like a stone, no pet heals, no feign death etc. Eventually I figured out that the key to effective mana conservation is to understand mana regeneration. I'm sure most cloth wearers know this instinctively but few hunter guides talk about it. Here anyway is my two cents worth.
Spirit and Grinding
1. Spirit is very important for grinding. High int will give you a high starting mana while a high spirit will give you a better rate of mana regeneration. Its nice to have a good bit of both but in the long run properly used spirit will keep you going further if you undertstand the five second rule. My aim when grinding easy mobs is to finish each fight with the same mana you start with - no downtime at all.
The 5-Second Rule
2. NB NB Know and use the five second rule. Spirit will regenerate mana during combat but no regeneration happens for 5 seconds after a spell is cast. The five seconds timer runs from the point at which the spell stops using mana. This is important. Aimed shot for example draws mana at the end of the 3 second load up - mana regeneration happens during those three seconds but not for five seconds after. Heal pet on the other hand draws mana at the start but by the end of the channeling period the five seconds is almost up and mana regen starts quickly.
Maximise your Mana Regeneration
3. Fire special shots / abilities in bursts rather than space them out. The key to getting the most out of spirit is to maximise the amount of time for which mana is regenerating. A worst case scenario would be to fire exactly one ability every five seconds - This would result in no mana regeneration at all. The better way to do it is to use a bunch of special abilities and then wait for mana regeneration to act before firing the next bunch. Multishot with its 10 second cooldown allows for a nice bit of mana regen and can be used as a timer if you finish your burst of special shots with a multi.
The Order of Shots and Abilities
4. Pick the order of your shots carefully in order to maximise mana regeneration time. Aimed shot for example should be used at the start of a burst of abilities so you are still regenerating during the 3 second load up. Heal pet on the other hand should be used at the end so that regeneration starts soon after you finish chanelling.
Regen Mana Properly Between Fights
5. Make sure you are regenerating mana fully for the whole time between fights. In the time it takes to walk to a corpse, loot it, select a new target and send in your pet you can regenerate a lot of mana PROVIDING you haven't stopped your mana regeneration by using a spell during this time. This goes against the grain for many hunters who are used to using Hunter's Mark or even laying a trap in preparation for a fight.
- If you are going to open with aimed shot don't use any mana consuming ability before it or else you will delay mana regeneration for at least 8 seconds. This ban includes setting traps, changing aspect, or hunters mark.
- Do not use any special ability to deliver the coup de grace at the end of a fight. If you kill a running mob with an arcane shot then you will waste 5 seconds of valuable mana regeneration between fights. Better to use a couple of autoshots or let your pet take them down (Dash or Dive is handy). If you are really worried about a runner pulling adds then serpent sting them at about 30% health. The last few ticks of the sting will bring them down quickly and your mana regen should start five seconds after the sting was fired. Worst case if you do get unwanted adds at least by folowing these tips you will have plenty of mana to deal with them.
In Case You Pull Aggro from Your Pet
6. If your pet loses aggro and the mob targets you don't panic and spam a whole bunch of spells. I used to be terrible for this - I'd waste a ton of mana with raptor strikes, wing clips, scatter shots all of which just made it harder for my pet to regain aggro. Providing your pet is alive its usually better to absorb a few hits and just keep autoshot or melee attack working away - after a couple of growls your pet will regain aggro and you'll still have plenty of mana to control the situation.
Example Strategies
7. Some sample strategies that work:
8. I should really add a comment on the mana efficiency of shots:
The exact damage per unit of mana depends on the hunters stats and the targets armour but without going into the maths Serpent sting is very mana efficient followed closely by Aimed shot. Multi shot is a fair bit less efficient and Arcane shot is generally very inefficient A true mana miser would probably avoid multishot but I find that my general mana regeneration strategy allows me enough leeway to use multishot for that bit of extra damage and faster killing. On very low level mobs which go down too quickly to allow time for mana regen you would do better to leave out multishot.
Armour and resists complicate things a little bit because aimed shot and multishot damage is mitigated by armour while arcane shot is not. In theory it might be more efficienct to use arcane shot than autoshot on a very heavily armoured mob. I cannot recall coming across any examples of this however.
9. I have no experience of high end raiding so I cannot vouch for the effectiveness of these tips in raids. Understanding how mana regen works and knowing the correct order of shots in order to maximise mana regen can only help I guess.
Pyros 19 twink hunter guide
Hello, my name is pyro, and welcome to my LVL 19 twink Hunter guide. Hunters and rogues dominate the lvl 10 – 19 WSG battle ground and this in mainly due to the fact that hunters and rogues get most of there abilities earlier than any other class.
My twink guides are different from everyone’s else’s because my guide tells you where to get your gear, what the weapon enchants do and my guide tells you where and how to get the fishing hat, fishing boots and the all mighty Arena Grand Master unlike most other guides. Anyway I hope you enjoy the work I have put into this guide and if you have any enquiries just post a comment or mail me on wow. Enjoy
PS. Most of the time, when I do warsong gulch on my twink, I have people asking me where they can get the Arena Grand Master and Throat Piercers, well this guide will tell you how to get it instead of me taking about 5 minutes explaining to you while I am trying to kill other twinks, so I hope this helps you guys out.
Armor list:
Head: Lucky Fishing Hat [+15 stam, +5 fishing] or Green Tinted Goggles [+8 stam, +7 sprit]: Lucky fishing hat is really hard to get.
I’ve done this fishing competition a couple of times and I try to just keep away from the the opposite faction and they usually leave you alone, it could help if you had someone to protect you in STV cause the beasts would kill you (they range from lvl 30 to 40).
Scout's Medallion can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks.
Shoulders: Serpent's Shoulders [+9 agi]: Serpents shoulders drop from the second boss in WC, they have a 58% drop chance. So there really easy to get.
Back: Sentry Cloak [+4 agi, +5 stam] or Glowing Lizardscale Cloak [+6 agi, +2 stam]: Sentry Cloak is a world drop so you will have to pay about 60 to 100g to buy it on the AH. There is also the Glowing Lizardscale Cloak which you can get form Skum in “walling caverns”, the drop chance for them are 40% so it is pretty easy to get. Just letting you all know sentry cloak looks way better than Glowing Lizardscale Cloak.
Chest: Blackened Defias Armor [+3 agi, +4 Strength,+11stam] or Tunic of Westfall [+11 agi, +5 stam] Alliance only: Blackened Defias Armor dorps from Edwin Vancleef, he is the second boss in Deadmines. The Tunic of Westfall can only be acquired by alliance. The quest to get Tunic of Westfall can be picked up at sentinel hill in westfall which starts with “Gryan Stoutmantle”. The quest giver is at the entrance to the tower in sentinel hill. The called quest is called the Defias Brotherhood (You have to get the “Head of Vancleef” to complete the quest, which means you will have to run threw Deadmines). The quest has 7 chains to it. I recommend getting everthing you need for your twink that might involve getting experience before doing the The Defias Brotherhood and Seal of Wrynn quests. You can get the The Defias Brotherhood quest at lvl 14.
Wrist: Forest Leather Bracers [+5 agi] or Wrangler's Wristbands [+3 agi and +3stam]: Either of these are good for your twink just depends if you want more agility or a balance of both agility and stamina. These are both world drops and the both go for about 6g to 25g on the AH. I picked up my Forest Leather Bracers from SFK when I was trying to get Assassin's Blade, so you can get them in lvl 20 instance’s. If you go through SFK to get Assassin's Blade or Shadowfang, look out for any of the green twink amour.
Hands: Gloves of the Fang [+6 agi, +5 strength] or Scouting Gloves of the monkey [+4 agi and +3stam]: Gloves of the Fang are a trash mob drop in “Waling Caverns”, so it would be better to buy them from the AH from 20g to 60g. Scouting gloves of the monkey are a world drop and they are a rare one at that. They can sell up to 30g on AH.
Waist: Deviate Scale Belt [+5 agi, +6 stam, +3 spirit] or Belt of the Fang [+5 agi, +6 stam] or Blackened Defias Belt [+18 ap]: Deviate Scale Belt can be bought from the AH for about 30g to 50g or you can get a Leather worker to make one for you by supplying the mats, which is more cost effective. You will need 6 Perfect Deviate Scales, 4 Deviate Scale and 2 fine thread. The perfect and normal Deviate Scale can be obtained from 1 to 2 runs of “Wailing Caverns” (WC) and the fine thread can be bought from some “trade vendors” and “leather working supply vendors”. The belt of the fang drops from the second boss in “Wailing Caverns” (WC). Blackened Defias Belt drops from captain greenskin in Deadmines (VC) but you can also buy it from the AH for about 5g to 20g. And if you guys don’t know, 1 strength = 1 attack power, so Blackened Defias Belt pretty much gives you 18 strength.
Legs: Leggings of the Fang [+9 agi, +5 strength, +4 stam] or Dark Leather Pants [+8 agi] or Rigid Leggings of the monkey [+4 agi, +4 stam]: Now this is where you can turn your twink into a uber twink with the help of Nethercleft Leg Armour or Nethercobra Leg Armour. Get a leather worker to make you Dark Leather Pants (or you can buy them from the AH for peanuts) or buy a “Rigid Leggings of the monkey” for about 15g to 40g and buy a Nethercleft Leg Armour or Nethercobra Leg Armour from AH for about 300g to 400g and make sure you don’t equip the legs yet since you cant put the leg armour kits on soulbound items. Make sure you have your legs and the leg amour kit that you have chosen and send them to a +60 friend of yours to apply it to your legs and then get them sent back to your twink. Note, you can’t apply Leg Armour to your legs in trade and you cant put Leg Armour’s on SOULBOUND items because you cant send them to your higher lvl character. If you don’t have the gold for Nethercleft Leg Armour or Nethercobra Leg Armour then get Leggings of the Fang which are the next best thing. Another option is Cobrahide Leg Armour or Clefthide Leg Armour (which you can buy for 50g to 120g on AH), depending on your playstyle.
Feet: Feet of the Lynx [+8 strength, + 3 agi] or Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots [+12 stam, +5 to fishing] or Footpads of the Fang [+6 agi, +6 stam]: The Feet of the Lynx area world drop and sell between 60-110g on AH. The only point of getting Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots is to get Cat’s Swiftness or Boar's Speed which is a enchant that give a minor speed increase and +6 agility or +9 stamia. The reason why you can only get this enchant on Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots is because the enchant can only be put on a lvl 35 item or high, and the anglin’ boots classify for this enchant. You can get the anglin’ boots from the fishing quest in booty bay, like the lucky fishing hat. Footpads of the fang drop from Lord Serpentis in WC.
You can get Seal of Sylvanas from the Quest called Arugal Must Die, you get the quest from Dalar Dawnweaver in Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. Quest can only be obtained at lvl 19 and it isnt a chain quest unlike the quest for Seal of Wrynn.
Finger 2: Protector's Band [+4 agi, +2 stam] alliance only or Legionnaire's Band [+4 agi, +2 stam] horde only: Protector's Band can be bought from the pvp vendor at Silverwing Grove in Ashenvale for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks. Legionnaire's Band can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks
Trinket 1: Arena Grand Master [Equip: +12 dodge rating, Use: Absorbs 750 to 1500 damage for 20 sec, 15 min cool down] or Minor Recombobulator [Use: Dispels Polymorph effects on a friendly target. Also restores 150 to 250 health and mana]: Now here is where it gets really hard.
Every time you open the chest you will get one of these ,Arena Master [trinket, +5 stam, requires lvl 35 to equip], to get Arena Grand Master you need to get 12 Arena Master and trade them in to the goblin in the arena to get it. The quest to get it is repeatable but I wouldn’t recommend getting 2 Arena Grand Master since it will take too long to get them all.
Minor Recombobulator can be made by a engineer and has 10 charges before it does nothing. You need to do engineering to use it, you will need to have a engineer lvl of 140 to make it. The schematic for it is sold by a vendor in Rachet called Gagsprocket.
Trinket 2: Arena Grand Master [Equip: +12 dodge rating, Use: Absorbs 750 to 1500 damage for 20 sec, 15 min cool down] or Minor Recombobulator [Use: Dispels Polymorph effects on a friendly target. Also restores 150 to 250 health and mana] or Insignia of the Alliance or Insignia of the horde [Use: Dispels all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character.]: This can be bought from a vendor in the Champions hall which can be found in Old town. It will cost you 2805 honour which takes a while to accumulate. Not sure where the horde one is.
Weapons list:
2h weapons: Twisted Chanter's Staff [+6 stam, +10 int, 20.4 DPS, 55 - 84 Damage, speed:] or Lorekeeper's Staff [+8 stam, +4 int, +3 mana per 5 seconds, 19.7 DPS, 45 - 69 Damage, speed:] or Advisor's Gnarled Staff [+8 stam, +4 int, +3 mana per 5 seconds, 19.7 DPS, 45 - 69 Damage, speed:]: Lorekeeper's Staff can be bought from the pvp vendor in silverwing grove for 40 warsong marks and 428 honor. Advisor's Gnarled Staff can be bought from the pvp vendor in silverwing grove for 40 warsong marks and 428 honor. Twisted Chanter's Staff can be bought at the AH from about 40g to 80g. And If you don’t know this, rogues can’t use 2 handed and hunters are best to use a 2h weapon at lvl 19 cause they cant duel weld and cause 2h weapons give more starts
Ranged: Outrunner's Bow [15.2 DPS, 25 - 48 Damage, speed: 2.4] or Outrider’s bow [15.2 DPS, 25 – 48 Damage, speed: 2.4] or Venomstrike [Chance on hit: Chance to strike your ranged target with a Venom Shot for 31 to 45 Nature damage, 15.8 DPS, 26 - 50 Damage, speed: 2.4 ], or Lil' Timmy's Peashooter [14.2 DPS, 26 - 48 Damage, speed: 2.6]: You can get Venomstrike from walling caverns and you can get Outrunner's Bow from silverwing grove in Ashenvale for a bit of honour and 20 WSG marks. Outrider’s bow can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for a bit of honour and 20 WSG marks.
Lil' Timmy's Peashooter can be bought from the AH from 25g to 60g, in my opinion I think this is the best ranged weapon at lvl 19 because you can get better ammo, u can get a extra 2 dps from the bullets that you can make in engineering, so therefore it makes Lil' Timmy's Peashooter the best normal damage ranged weapon. I’m not sure what is the % chance with Venomstrikes proc effect, but if it is high enough, then this could be a better ranged weapon but based on the normal damage output from all the ranged weapons, Lil' Timmy's Peashooter is the best.

Icy: Chance on hit: Slows targets speed by 30% and time between attacks is increased by 25% for 5 seconds. Doesn’t proc much, I have used it and I think it sucks overall.
Fiery: Chance on hit: Fire a fireball at target to deal 30 fire damage, can crit for 60.
Hunter Strategy: Now a hunter should be able to beat someone in a 1 on 1 fight, especially against a melee class, my main is a hunter and I know from experience that trying to hit a hunter in a 1 on 1 fight is pretty hard, especially if they know how to kite.
I have seen non twink hunters beat twink warriors and twink rogues just by kiting and letting there pet do most of the damage. Hunters aren’t really flag runners so that is best left to rogues and high HP and amour twinks like bear druids, warriors and some pally’s.

About the guide
I decided to write this, after reading Eragon's Guide. Although it's a good guide for a brief overview of a hunter, it certainly lacked in-depth discussion. Thats where I come in. I have experianced each Hunter Spec through the level's in PvE / PvP and Dungeons so i feel i can share some of my knowledge.
Hunters - Easy to Learn.. Hard to Master
In my opinion, Hunters are the easiest and quickest character to level. I feel they are also the best choice for players new to the game, and they are equally suited for PvE and PvP roles. They can do lots of damage on their own, but bring their pet into the equation, and they become a force to be reckoned with. There are usually 5 types of Hunter;
1) I'm Confused - You will probably see alot of these around, these are the players who have no idea what to equip their Hunter. Their hardest choice will probably be 'Which looks cooler?'. This is fine for someone who just wants to play and have fun, but not very useful in a group.
2) Attack Power Freak - These guys (and gals), choose gear that gives them increased Attack Power (AP). This is probably the most important stat for a hunter. This is what seperates mice from men. Increased AP = Increased Damage == Increased DPS. This type will be best suited to quick fights as they won't have the mana or mana regen to keep them sustained for too long.
3) Health Harvesters - If you suck at keeping under your pet or tanks agro, this is the choice for you. Coupling Stamina with Attack Power will give you the hard hitting shots you need, with plenty of health to fall back on, just incase you can't keep to the max 41yard range.
4) Mana Monsters - High Intellect and Attack Power gives you high damage thats sustainable over a longer period of time. Great for boss battles or large groups. This is a good type to play down the Beastmaster route. Send your high armoured and health hungry pet into battle first to take the blows, whilst you hang back and fire round after round of cover fire.
5) All Rounders - Not the best type to be if you want to be top of the Damagemeter, but a logical choice if you don't want to die in 5 seconds. This type has a fair amount of Attack Power, Intellect and Stamina. Unfortunatly there's not many items out there which gives high Stamina, Intellect AND Attack Power.
There is one final 'breed' of hunter, which is rarely seen and does tremendous amounts of damage;
Attack Power and Agility Junkies - This RARE breed boosts their damage dealt with Attack Power AND their Crit Chance with Agility. You wanna go Marksman for this type. Imagine an average shot of 3k with a Crit chance of %50+. Every other shot could in theroy hit for 5k, couple that with a really fast rate of fire and your looking at one mean and powerful hunter, and thats not including his pet.
My level 70 Hunter is an Attack Power Freak, (although i use it for grinding / boosting and rarely do dungeons / raids with it). Every item i chose i tried to go for +AP or +Agility. As you can see i don't have much mana or health, but i can hold my own.

Hunter Tree
As with all other classes there is 3 trees to choose talents from: Beast Mastery, Marksmanship and Survival. All 3 have differant play styles;
Beast Masterery - This is regarded as the leveling spec. Send your pet in to take the aggro and you stand back and pick them off. If needed you can always drop an freezing trap to control any extra mobs that come at you. If worst comes to worst, Feign Death. This spec can be very effective in PvP as well (at least in lower levels).
Marksmanship - This is what really increases your damage. High powered shots, Rapid Fire and Trueshot Aura helps deal the damage. Using this to level isn't the best idea, you will easily over agro your pet and end up with the mob attacking you instead. I recomend this for PvP and Dungeons / Raids only. IE, swap to this at level 70 if you want to experiance dungeons and have high DPS.
Survival - Alot of people can't see the point of this tree, but i went from 10-58 as this and i died ALOT less than other players, even fellow hunters. That could be just down to the way i play my hunter or it could be the Spec, i'll let you guys decide that. Survival Spec is useful in other ways. It can increase your damage dealt, reduces the cooldown on traps, improves your Feign Death ad can even put a target to sleep. Throwing 3 points into Hawkeye is a MUST for any Hunter, it increases your ranged attacks by 6yards. Great talent to have if you want to keep out of trouble.

Expose Weakness - rank 3/3
Master Tactician - rank 5/5
Readiness - rank 1/1
As you can see, all 3 trees use something from another. Of course, you could prefer to have your points elsewhere. This is just a General Guide anyhow.
Finally we get to your pet choice:
A Hunters Best Friend
There are MANY types of pets you can get and i won't go into detail here about them all. (Visit http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/ for more indepth infomation)
There are 3 main types of Pet, based on base stats;
Damage - Cats / Raptors, these guys are your DPS pets.
Armour - Bears / Scorpids, these guys have high armour.
Health - Bears / Boars, you guessed it, these guys have higher health
My general rule is to go with a cat, easy to feed and train, and generally damn good at everything. My Hunters Pet is a Frostsaber from Hinterlands (level 55) and up til then i had a Nightsaber and a Wetlands Raptor, all 3 types have served me well.
And that just about concludes this guide, I hope this information has helped and was clearly presented and easy to understand.
The Hunter Epic Quest - The Hunt for Rhokdelar
About this guide.
I am making this guide because the guides I found online were for hunters that were a little more decked out than myself. (Although based off stratagies I found. Credits and links at the end of the guide) The strategies included are a combination of what I learned from the other guides and what I modified to suit my hunter. I believe that if you follow this guide the demon fights will go as smoothly as possible minimizing your cost (because buying pots and buffs for the fights and then failing gets expensive) and maximizing your and your parties time.
How to read this guide.
Before each demon there will be 5 lists pertaining to the fight.
1. party list: The party list is a party that you MUST HAVE* before attempting the fight. I will list each players part of each fight. Trying the fight without a certain buff from a party member can cost you the fight, waste time and money.
2. consumable list: These are consumables that you MUST HAVE* before the fight. I will explain each why each one is necessary in the demon fight. I will list more items than you will use during the fight. But the key is to have them in case you need them. Why loose a demon fight, waste a few buffer potions, and have to wait for respawn because you didn’t bring extra pots with you?
3. additional items list: These are items that you might consider if you are having problems with the demon.
4. talents and skills: These are the talents and skills required to beat this demon. I highly recommend moving your skills that you will be using into key binding you can hit easily. i.e. I always had the sting I was using for the demon in the 4 quick key and I switched my wing clip to my mouse thumb button. What ever feels the most comfortable and easiest for you.
5. weapons and armor: Weapons and armor used for the fight.
*Like I said before. I am writing this guide as a way to keep you from dieing and to make your fight with the demons as easy as possible. So I am going to suggest that you be overly ready and pull out every stop on your first attempts because that will lower your cost (less pots and repairs), time (if you de-spawn the demon it takes 15 mins to spawn again).
General rules for every demon fight.
1. No one can help you on any demon fight after you have engaged in combat. If the demon or their pet, or helpers, target anyone besides you during the fight they de-spawn for 15 mins. This includes your pet! You must have your pet dismissed and have all buffs on before engaging combat. As a general rule you do not want to use any aura buffs. If you go in of or out of an aura it will count is as a buff during combat and de-spawn the demon.
2. Every demon has a weakness. All you have to do is focus on that weakness to beat them. Do not make the fight more complicated than necessary. You will be using your hunter in ways you haven’t before. It’s alright. Trust me ;D
3. I recommend giving each demon a few tries with out using any of your consumables to get the hang of the fight. Once again this is to save you money. You can attempt the demon with just buffs and reset the demon with feign death. Once you feel comfortable with the demon use your potions and other consumables. Id suggest 2 tries without buffs to get the hang of it.
4. Warlocks are very important because they give you healthstones. These are on different timers from potions and can save your life while waiting to use a potion again.
5. if the fight isnt going well feign death and start again. Its always better to have a solid fight the entire time than to start shaky and have a chance of finishing.
6. Warn your party to not go near the demon. They like to hit people not on the quest very very hard : -) well they like to hit people on the quest hard as well....

Burning Steppes, Klinfran
party list:
Priest - Power Word Fortitude, Spirit, and Shield before the pull.
Pally - Blessing of Might
Druid - Mark of the Wild, and Thorns before the pull
Warlock - Healthsones, Healthsones, Healthsones!
