| Felador's Hunter Twink Guide (Level 19) *UPDATED*
2 Average: 2 (1 vote) Updated version of Felador's Guide. Hunter Twink Guide(Level 19) Introduction Hunters make great twinks in the 10-19 PvP bracket. They are versatile and fun to play, and are one of the most powerful class's at this level. Hunters fill the role of DPS/Support in WSG; they can carry the flag but this is best left to other class's who can do this more efficiently. Hunters have the ability to kite an enemy near endlessly with the use of Concussive Shot and Wing Clip (the latter able to be spamming on multiple enemies to keep your Flag Carrier safe, or to delay the oppositions Flag Carrier support) and to provide tactical information such as enemy location via the use of Eagle Eye and Tracking. Also, Hunters can dish out mean damage while taking hits from multiple enemies making them one of the most sort after class in this bracket. Version History v3.2 - Updated Enchants, Added/removed gear choices Races Alliance: Dwarf, Night Elf or Draenei Stoneform is a great talent which increases the already crazy survivability of twink Hunters but could be outweighed by Shadowmeld, depending on your playstyle. If you like to hide in the shadows and destroy your enemies with burst damage (much like a rogue) then roll a Night Elf. On the other hand, if you like to rush head first into battle and take all the hits (allowing your silly clothies to survive for that extra second Sticking out tongue) then roll a Dwarf. If you like to be different, roll a Draenei! Horde: Orc, Troll, Tauren or Blood Elf Orc Hunters benefit from increased pet damage, reduced effect of stuns and increased attack power every 2 minutes making them the survivability counterpart for the Horde while Troll Hunters benefit from increased critical with bows, reduced movement impairing effects and increased attack speed every 3 minutes; like a Night Elf on steroids. Blood Elfs might would be an ideal counter for casting twinks with their AoE silence and great looks Sticking out tongue. Tauren's no longer receive as much of health boost (+5% base instead of +5% stam which is ~30hp max at level 19) but their stun racial is very useful in PvP and they start with a boost to Herbalism which is useful if you plan to level that profession. Gear Head: Lucky Fishing Hat/Green Tinted Goggles
The following items are BoE and can be bought off the Auction House: *If you can find Scouting Gloves of the Monkey with +4 Stamina/+4 Agility use these, otherwise use Gloves of the Fang. Similarly, look for Scouting Trousers of the Monkey with +5 Stamina/+5 Agility. After the 3.2 update, Leggings of the Fang is going to be your best bet if you can get them, add the Medium Armor Kit and your good to go. The following items are crafted and can be obtained any time after you level Engineering: The following items are BoP and require instances and quests to obtain: The following items are obtainable via PvP and should be obtained after you are decently geared: The following items are very difficult to obtain and require much time: Arena Grand Master Enchantments Head: None As of This Guide Being Written Professions The professions every twink needs are Engineering and First Aid. Mining, Skinning and Herbalism are all viable options as a second primary profession now with the release of Echoes of Doom. *I suggest Alchemy for the potions/elixirs you can make and use in WSG*(Works best if you have a high level Herbalist). You will need fishing if you are aiming to obtain the fishing gear but cooking has limited uses; Rumsey Rum Black Label (Can be bought in Old Hillsbrad Foothills instance from Barkeep Kelly for 2s currently has the best food buff a level 19 can obtain and this cancels out anything you cook, another reason for the high level friend. Here is an Engineering guide found on WoW-Pro which might assist in leveling: Engineering 1-300 by Dusi. Do some research on Professions, you may find that you want to level something else for the special abilities or stats these give as Shadowspown pointed out to me. Such as 225 Herbalism gives the spell Lifeblood which is a 720hp heal over time. 225 Skinning gives you Master of Anatomy which gives you 9 points to Critical Strike rating. Below are the professions that give extra stats or abilities that can be leveled to 225 if you don't want to use the ones I suggested. Be very carefull, leveling these to late in levels could cause you to level to 20 which is what you DO NOT want to do. Having a high level friend will help out alot. Herbalism: 225 Lifeblood Talents Survivability Efficiency Damage Pets With the release of Echoes of Doom, boars are no longer the best pet in this bracket as Charge is now only trainable at level 20. Replacing the boar are: Hyenas Spiders Strategy Your key role in WSG is simple: dish out as much damage as possible (in most cases by kiting). To kite, begin with using your pets slow, followed up bu running at the enemy and doing an instant Raptor Strike followed by a Wing Clip. Run back the other way, firing Arcane Shot whenever possible and keeping Serpent Sting applied. Every time Wing Clip is about to run out, repeat the charge. Save concussive shot for when you need the extra slow, such as when you get interrupted during kiting and need to get the enemy back at range. When involved with supporting the Flag Carrier you will want to slow any enemies (by spamming Wing Clip) to prevent them from returning their flag. When trying to return your own flag, use your pet ability (Tendon Rip or Web) on their FC and then send your pet onto one of the oppositions healers, thereby slowing their heals. If your pets health falls low, heal it with Mend Pet. Try to resurrect your pet when not much is going on as it it liable to being interrupted. Lay Immolation Traps at choke points such as doorways and in the tunnels. Use your Multi-Shot wisely as it is the only move you have that hits multiple targets at once, but does add viable damage nonetheless versus a single target. Aspect of the Monkey is best used when targeted our when carrying the flag, otherwise Aspect of the Hawk will provide a decent damage bonus. Conclusion Twinking is a long and expensive process, but if done correctly can provide a blast of a time in battlegrounds. If you enjoyed reading this guide, found it helpful, spotted a mistake or have any advice; please leave a comment as I would appreciate feedback. Special thanks to Jezza (aka. Melador) who helped me heaps through the making of our twinks Smiling. Felador Updated By:

I don't have time to read this in depth right now, but it looks like you have good info.
However, those colors have *got* to go. They are way to bright. The idea of using colors in titles is fine, but it really needs to be a darker color, for both the blue and the green.

Easier?
Changed the colors, hope they are easier on the eye
Just for the Record: I did not write this guide, I only updated it to fit 3.1's standards.

Ah, good to know
and the colors are much better now!
Great Guide
I've been trying to make a perfectly twinked 19 hunter and this is the best guide I've found. My only recommendation would be Leggings of the Fang instead of Scouting Trousers of the Monkey (even with +5/+5). A 1 stamina loss is worth the +4 agility bonus
