This is one of my first guides. Please be patient with me, and try not be too harsh when commenting ;D

Please take into account that my highest level warlock is level 60. I do not know everything about Warlocks.

Introduction
Warlocks, like any other class, have their negatives and their positives. But in my opinion, they have more positives than any other class. Here are just a few:
- They are said to be the second fastest levelers in WoW, just unerneath Hunters.
- They get a mount at level 30, that costs just 1g, in comparison to the usual 40g you would have to pa.
- They get a discounted mount at level 60, which costs about 100g cheaper than normal. (Depending on server, price of mats etc)
- They get 5 summonable demons. Each coming with their own aresnal of spells and abilities.
- They can obtain Soul Shards, which can be used to create healthstones (Restores health) Firestones (Can be used on weapons) Soulstones (Can be used to ressurect yourself if you die) plus many more things.
- They can enslave demons, and summon infernals.
- They are a fairly easy, and powerful class to play if you know how to play them.
- They get an array of DoTs (Damage over Time) spells, which are VERY handy in PvP.
- The list could go on for pages :]

Demons
Warlocks have the ablity to summon four demons. Five if specced in the Demonology tree. These four demons are: Imp (Can be obtained at level 1, through a ques), Voidwalker (Can be obtained at level 10, through a quest), Succubus (Obtained at level 20 throgh a chain of quests), Felhunter (Obtained at level 30 through a chain of quests), and, Felguard (Can be obtained at level 50 through a talent in the demonology talent tree.
These demons play roles similar to other classes. For instance: Imps play the role of mages. They do excellent damage, but have crappy health:P
Voidwalkers are similar to Warriors. They have taunt abilities, and can take alot of damage.
Succubus's are similar to Rogues. They can stun, stealth and do fairly high amounts of DPS.
Felhunters are similar to Priests. They can heal, give increased stealth detection etc.

When PvPing, I reccomend summoning your Succubus or Felhunter (Felhunters are good, for example, in WSG if you prefer to defend your flag, rather than attack).
When in an instance, I reccomend summoning your Imp, and if desperatley needed, your voidwalker.
When solo PvEing, I reccomnd summoning your Voidwalker, or Felguard.

Imps ablities - Fireball, Phase Shift, Fire Shield, Blood Pact.
Void Walkers ablities - Torment, Suffering, Consume Shadows, Sacrifice.
Succubus's ablilities - Lash of Pain, Seduction, Soothing Kiss, Stealth.
Felhunter's ablities - Paranoia, Tainted Blood, Spell Lock, Devour Magic.

If you wish to see the effects of the above abilities, I reccomend using Thottbot.

Talents
Warlocks have the following talent trees: Affliction, Demonology and Destruction.

Affliction: In my opinion, if you want the fastest possible leveling spec, this is the tree to spend points in. You do more damage, have less downtime and can take on more mobs.

Demonology: This is the spec for PvPing. I'm not much of a PvPer myself, but.. Yeah :]

Destruction: I'm not too sure about this one tbh.. Ask Google? xDD

How to play a Warlock
Whilst leveling, my usual routine is: Send VW in, Corruption, Curse of Agony, Immolation, Siphon Life, Wand.
This is a rather old, and outdated way of leveling, but it works fine for me. For PvP, I do the same, but there's more beauty added to it: If, for example, you're against a Retribution Paladin (IE, death is innevitible), stick all your DoTs on him, fear him, and do as much damage as you can, he will kill you, but, when you die, the DoTs do not dispell. They stay on him and continue doing damage xD
In PvP, everybody on the opposing team hates a spam fear warlock. Therfore, you must spam fear, also using Death Coil and Howl of Terror.

[b]Summary
Overall, Warlocks are a very useful and powerful class, especially in PvE. They can summon, make healthstones and soul stones, do awesome DPS, and also have a demon by their side to add to that DPS. They put up fair fights in PvP and when specced right, level at an excellent rate.

And that concludes my Warlock guide.
It of course has alot of work to be done, and information may be wrong, but I will alter it as soon as comments are posted :]

Hey thanks for the guide! My alliance main is a gnome lock, and while only level 12, this still helps alot. I noticed you have attachments but they arent in your guide. To add them copy the link below the title on the attachments list, then paste it where you want it, then you want to add take the spaces out between [img] and the photo name and there you go!
