Fishing Guide (Works for Horde and Alliance)

This is my first guide, so please be constructive on your criticism etc...
Please Note: I did this on Horde, therefore the Horde version will be more in depth. Apologies to Alliance :] I will be adding maps, screenshots etc soon.

Before we start, Alliance members may want to set their HS to Stormwind. Horde members aren't requried to set theirs to Orgrimmar.

Step One
Alliance: Go to Stormwind, ask a guard to see where the fishing trainer is, and then train in it. Get a fishing pole, and maybe some baubles (If you dont want to wait). Go to a fishing spot where only skill 1 is required, and fish until your skill is 50.
Horde: Go to Orgrimmar and go to the Valley of Honour. Go to the pool of water, and jump up onto the pier. Train in fishing and buy a fishing pole and maybe a bauble. Stand on the bridge and fish until your skill is 50. OR, you can go through the back enterance of Orgrimmar and fish in Southfury River.

Step Two
Alliance: From Stormwind, get to Booty Bay. If you dont have the FP to Booty Bay: Go out of Stormwind, and zone into Westfall (Go and get the FP if you don't have it. Instead of going down the path to Duskwood, take the one to Sentinel Hill). Follow the path until it forks. Look at the signs and take the path which leads to Duskwood (again, get the FP if you dont have it. Just follow the road straight ahead rather than going south, and get into Darkshire. Get the FP then continue with the rest). Follow the path until it forks once more. Go south and get the Rebel Camp FP if you do not have it. Continue south down Stranglethorn Vale until you enter Booty Bay. Get the FP, then go to the end of the pier and wait for the boat to Ratchet to arrive. Once you are in Ratchet, go east. Don't go too far though, or else you may get into the Crossroads. Find your way to the Wailing Caverns.
Horde: This step is much easier for you. Just fly to the Crossroads, and go to Wailing Caverns. (If you do not have the FP, just go out of Orgrimmar, go south until you hit Razor Hill, go east and follow the path until it forks. Take the one leading left which should eventually land you in the Crossroads. Get the FP and go to Wailing Caverns).

Step Three
Both Factions: Equip your fishing pole and apply any baubles you may have. Begin fishing. Deviate Fish drop here, and on most servers, they go for around 15-20g per stack (The most ridiculous price I've seen it go for is 50g). Fish until you have enough stacks to get enough gold for what you need (EG, people farming for mount money will need 4/5 stacks depending on rep with the faction. Friendly = 100g, Honoured = 90g, Revered = 85g, Exalted = 80g [I think]).

Step Four
Alliance: If you followed my advice, hearthstone to Stormwind. If you didn't follow my advise, go back to Ratchet and take the boat to Booty Bay. Take a flight to Stormwind.
Horde: Go back to the Crossroads and fly to Orgrimmar.

Step Five
Both Factions: Head to your city's Auction House. CHECK what price Deviate Fish sell for on your server. Put a starting bid of 5g less than that, and a buyout of what the average price is. Auction off your fish and wait for them to sell. (May take up to a day or so).

Please take into account that server prices vary, and you may not sell the fish for alot. I made 100g in a day (from 5 stacks of fish selling at 20g per stack), and sent it to an alt so I could buy my mount as soon as I hit 40. This way may not be the most efficient, and it may bore some people, sat there, clicking a bobber, but money is money when it comes down to it Smiling Obviously this method isn't THAT suitable for epic flyers etc. It might be good for buying an epic ground mount, but I haven't tried selling that many fish yet Sticking out tongue

I hope you enjoyed my first guide, and I hope it was some use to you. Please post comments, stating results, what you think, etc. Thanks Smiling
Rob

not a good guide

The information you provide is not even remotely titled well. This is not a fishing guide, but rather a guide on how to make money from fishing deviate fish.

There is no mention of getting your skill above 225, tips on how to hit the nodes, info on where to get the fishing node tracker, etc. Sorry, but this guide needs a lot of work.

However the reputation information is new to me, but there is one problem with this information, which is you don't even link to that.
