Pyros 19 twink hunter guide

Hello, my name is pyro, and welcome to my LVL 19 twink Hunter guide. Hunters and rogues dominate the lvl 10 – 19 WSG battle ground and this in mainly due to the fact that hunters and rogues get most of there abilities earlier than any other class.

My twink guides are different from everyone’s else’s because my guide tells you where to get your gear, what the weapon enchants do and my guide tells you where and how to get the fishing hat, fishing boots and the all mighty Arena Grand Master unlike most other guides. Anyway I hope you enjoy the work I have put into this guide and if you have any enquiries just post a comment or mail me on wow. Enjoy

PS. Most of the time, when I do warsong gulch on my twink, I have people asking me where they can get the Arena Grand Master and Throat Piercers, well this guide will tell you how to get it instead of me taking about 5 minutes explaining to you while I am trying to kill other twinks, so I hope this helps you guys out.

Armor list:
Head: Lucky Fishing Hat [+15 stam, +5 fishing] or Green Tinted Goggles [+8 stam, +7 sprit]: Lucky fishing hat is really hard to get. To get it you must have a max fishing skill (150) and u must have about 20 “Aquadynamic Fish Attractor” which give you +100 fishing when you apply it to your fishing rod. When you have done that, then you can participate in the booty bay fishing competition which is held in “Stranglethorn Vale” (STV) on every Sunday between 2-4pm sever time, to get the lucky fishing hat, you will have to capture a rare fish which can be found in the “Tasty school fish” nodes which are located along the Stranglethorn Vale coastline. There are 3 rare fish that can be caught, they are called “Brownell's Blue Striped Racer” (used to get Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots), “Dezian Queenfish” (used to get High Test Eternium Fishing Line, increase’s fishing skill by 5), and “Keefer's Angelfish” (used to get Lucky Fishing Hat) And when you get one, you can trade them in to the robot in booty bay (look for the repeatable quest sign to find him). Once you get the right fish, trade it in to the robot to get the Lucky Fishing hat.

Now you think that would be easy right? Will you would be wrong because you guys should know that STV is basically GANK LAND on a PVP sever. This means, that there are going to be a lot of people around which could and most of the time, will kill you and camp you. I’ve done this fishing competition a couple of times and I try to just keep away from the the opposite faction and they usually leave you alone, it could help if you had someone to protect you in STV cause the beasts would kill you (they range from lvl 30 to 40).
Green tinted goggles can be made by an engineer and you HAVE to be an engineer to where them, you need to have an engineering lvl of 150 to wear and make them.

Neck: Sentinel's Medallion [+6 agi, +2 stam] or Scout's Medallion [+6 agi, +2 stam]: Sentinel's Medallion can be bought from the pvp vendor at Silverwing Grove in Ashenvale for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks. Scout's Medallion can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks.

Shoulders: Serpent's Shoulders [+9 agi]: Serpents shoulders drop from the second boss in WC, they have a 58% drop chance. So there really easy to get.

Back: Sentry Cloak [+4 agi, +5 stam] or Glowing Lizardscale Cloak [+6 agi, +2 stam]: Sentry Cloak is a world drop so you will have to pay about 60 to 100g to buy it on the AH. There is also the Glowing Lizardscale Cloak which you can get form Skum in “walling caverns”, the drop chance for them are 40% so it is pretty easy to get. Just letting you all know sentry cloak looks way better than Glowing Lizardscale Cloak.

Chest: Blackened Defias Armor [+3 agi, +4 Strength,+11stam] or Tunic of Westfall [+11 agi, +5 stam] Alliance only: Blackened Defias Armor dorps from Edwin Vancleef, he is the second boss in Deadmines. The Tunic of Westfall can only be acquired by alliance. The quest to get Tunic of Westfall can be picked up at sentinel hill in westfall which starts with “Gryan Stoutmantle”. The quest giver is at the entrance to the tower in sentinel hill. The called quest is called the Defias Brotherhood (You have to get the “Head of Vancleef” to complete the quest, which means you will have to run threw Deadmines). The quest has 7 chains to it. I recommend getting everthing you need for your twink that might involve getting experience before doing the The Defias Brotherhood and Seal of Wrynn quests. You can get the The Defias Brotherhood quest at lvl 14.

Wrist: Forest Leather Bracers [+5 agi] or Wrangler's Wristbands [+3 agi and +3stam]: Either of these are good for your twink just depends if you want more agility or a balance of both agility and stamina. These are both world drops and the both go for about 6g to 25g on the AH. I picked up my Forest Leather Bracers from SFK when I was trying to get Assassin's Blade, so you can get them in lvl 20 instance’s. If you go through SFK to get Assassin's Blade or Shadowfang, look out for any of the green twink amour.

Hands: Gloves of the Fang [+6 agi, +5 strength] or Scouting Gloves of the monkey [+4 agi and +3stam]: Gloves of the Fang are a trash mob drop in “Waling Caverns”, so it would be better to buy them from the AH from 20g to 60g. Scouting gloves of the monkey are a world drop and they are a rare one at that. They can sell up to 30g on AH.

Waist: Deviate Scale Belt [+5 agi, +6 stam, +3 spirit] or Belt of the Fang [+5 agi, +6 stam] or Blackened Defias Belt [+18 ap]: Deviate Scale Belt can be bought from the AH for about 30g to 50g or you can get a Leather worker to make one for you by supplying the mats, which is more cost effective. You will need 6 Perfect Deviate Scales, 4 Deviate Scale and 2 fine thread. The perfect and normal Deviate Scale can be obtained from 1 to 2 runs of “Wailing Caverns” (WC) and the fine thread can be bought from some “trade vendors” and “leather working supply vendors”. The belt of the fang drops from the second boss in “Wailing Caverns” (WC). Blackened Defias Belt drops from captain greenskin in Deadmines (VC) but you can also buy it from the AH for about 5g to 20g. And if you guys don’t know, 1 strength = 1 attack power, so Blackened Defias Belt pretty much gives you 18 strength.

Legs: Leggings of the Fang [+9 agi, +5 strength, +4 stam] or Dark Leather Pants [+8 agi] or Rigid Leggings of the monkey [+4 agi, +4 stam]: Now this is where you can turn your twink into a uber twink with the help of Nethercleft Leg Armour or Nethercobra Leg Armour. Get a leather worker to make you Dark Leather Pants (or you can buy them from the AH for peanuts) or buy a “Rigid Leggings of the monkey” for about 15g to 40g and buy a Nethercleft Leg Armour or Nethercobra Leg Armour from AH for about 300g to 400g and make sure you don’t equip the legs yet since you cant put the leg armour kits on soulbound items. Make sure you have your legs and the leg amour kit that you have chosen and send them to a +60 friend of yours to apply it to your legs and then get them sent back to your twink. Note, you can’t apply Leg Armour to your legs in trade and you cant put Leg Armour’s on SOULBOUND items because you cant send them to your higher lvl character. If you don’t have the gold for Nethercleft Leg Armour or Nethercobra Leg Armour then get Leggings of the Fang which are the next best thing. Another option is Cobrahide Leg Armour or Clefthide Leg Armour (which you can buy for 50g to 120g on AH), depending on your playstyle.

Feet: Feet of the Lynx [+8 strength, + 3 agi] or Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots [+12 stam, +5 to fishing] or Footpads of the Fang [+6 agi, +6 stam]: The Feet of the Lynx area world drop and sell between 60-110g on AH. The only point of getting Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots is to get Cat’s Swiftness or Boar's Speed which is a enchant that give a minor speed increase and +6 agility or +9 stamia. The reason why you can only get this enchant on Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots is because the enchant can only be put on a lvl 35 item or high, and the anglin’ boots classify for this enchant. You can get the anglin’ boots from the fishing quest in booty bay, like the lucky fishing hat. Footpads of the fang drop from Lord Serpentis in WC.

Ring 1: Seal of Wrynn [+3 sprit, +3agi, +3 strength, +4 int, +4 stam] alliance only or Seal of Sylvanas [+8 stam, +3 strength] horde only: You can get seal of wrynn from a quest which starts with a quest item called An Unsent Letter, which drops for VanCleef which is the last boss in Deadmines You can only start the Quest at lvl 16, and has about 12 other quests for you to do before you get seal of wrynn, most of it is running around stormwind talking to people but you will need to run stockades and at the last chain to the quest you will have to kill 2 lvl 30’s to complete the quest to get the ring.

You can get Seal of Sylvanas from the Quest called Arugal Must Die, you get the quest from Dalar Dawnweaver in Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. Quest can only be obtained at lvl 19 and it isnt a chain quest unlike the quest for Seal of Wrynn.

Finger 2: Protector's Band [+4 agi, +2 stam] alliance only or Legionnaire's Band [+4 agi, +2 stam] horde only: Protector's Band can be bought from the pvp vendor at Silverwing Grove in Ashenvale for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks. Legionnaire's Band can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for 76 honor and 20 WSG marks

Trinket 1: Arena Grand Master [Equip: +12 dodge rating, Use: Absorbs 750 to 1500 damage for 20 sec, 15 min cool down] or Minor Recombobulator [Use: Dispels Polymorph effects on a friendly target. Also restores 150 to 250 health and mana]: Now here is where it gets really hard. The Arena Grand Master is a powerful trinket that can be used by anyone at any lvl but it is really hard to get. To get the Arena Grand Master you will have to go to the Gurubashi Arena in STV and open the chest, which appears every 3 hours (12, 3, 6, 9, etc).

You will need about a 4 lvl 70’s to absolutely guarantee that your twink will get the chest. Every time you open the chest you will get one of these ,Arena Master [trinket, +5 stam, requires lvl 35 to equip], to get Arena Grand Master you need to get 12 Arena Master and trade them in to the goblin in the arena to get it. The quest to get it is repeatable but I wouldn’t recommend getting 2 Arena Grand Master since it will take too long to get them all.

Minor Recombobulator can be made by a engineer and has 10 charges before it does nothing. You need to do engineering to use it, you will need to have a engineer lvl of 140 to make it. The schematic for it is sold by a vendor in Rachet called Gagsprocket.

Trinket 2: Arena Grand Master [Equip: +12 dodge rating, Use: Absorbs 750 to 1500 damage for 20 sec, 15 min cool down] or Minor Recombobulator [Use: Dispels Polymorph effects on a friendly target. Also restores 150 to 250 health and mana] or Insignia of the Alliance or Insignia of the horde [Use: Dispels all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character.]: This can be bought from a vendor in the Champions hall which can be found in Old town. It will cost you 2805 honour which takes a while to accumulate. Not sure where the horde one is.

Weapons list:

2h weapons: Twisted Chanter's Staff [+6 stam, +10 int, 20.4 DPS, 55 - 84 Damage, speed:] or Lorekeeper's Staff [+8 stam, +4 int, +3 mana per 5 seconds, 19.7 DPS, 45 - 69 Damage, speed:] or Advisor's Gnarled Staff [+8 stam, +4 int, +3 mana per 5 seconds, 19.7 DPS, 45 - 69 Damage, speed:]: Lorekeeper's Staff can be bought from the pvp vendor in silverwing grove for 40 warsong marks and 428 honor. Advisor's Gnarled Staff can be bought from the pvp vendor in silverwing grove for 40 warsong marks and 428 honor. Twisted Chanter's Staff can be bought at the AH from about 40g to 80g. And If you don’t know this, rogues can’t use 2 handed and hunters are best to use a 2h weapon at lvl 19 cause they cant duel weld and cause 2h weapons give more starts

Ranged: Outrunner's Bow [15.2 DPS, 25 - 48 Damage, speed: 2.4] or Outrider’s bow [15.2 DPS, 25 – 48 Damage, speed: 2.4] or Venomstrike [Chance on hit: Chance to strike your ranged target with a Venom Shot for 31 to 45 Nature damage, 15.8 DPS, 26 - 50 Damage, speed: 2.4 ], or Lil' Timmy's Peashooter [14.2 DPS, 26 - 48 Damage, speed: 2.6]: You can get Venomstrike from walling caverns and you can get Outrunner's Bow from silverwing grove in Ashenvale for a bit of honour and 20 WSG marks. Outrider’s bow can be bought from the pvp vendor at Mor'shan Base Camp in barrens for a bit of honour and 20 WSG marks.

Lil' Timmy's Peashooter can be bought from the AH from 25g to 60g, in my opinion I think this is the best ranged weapon at lvl 19 because you can get better ammo, u can get a extra 2 dps from the bullets that you can make in engineering, so therefore it makes Lil' Timmy's Peashooter the best normal damage ranged weapon. I’m not sure what is the % chance with Venomstrikes proc effect, but if it is high enough, then this could be a better ranged weapon but based on the normal damage output from all the ranged weapons, Lil' Timmy's Peashooter is the best.

Enchant list:

Helm: 100hp or 8 agility (Librams) , what librams

Cloak: 12 Dodge, or 3 agility.

Chest: 100hp or +3 to all stats.

Legs:
Nethercobra Leg Armor [+12 crit rate, +50 AP]
Cobrahide Leg Armor [+10 crit rate, +40 AP]
Nethercleft Leg Armor [+12 agi, +40 stam]
Clefthide Leg Armor [+10 agi, +30 stam]

Bracers: 9 Stamina, or 9 strength

Gloves: 15 agility.

Boots: +7 agility or minor speed increase or

Boar's Speed (Minor Speed / +9 Stamina); require's level 35+ item. Only applicable to Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots in the 10-19 and 20-29 brackets.

Cat's Swiftness (Minor Speed / +6 Agility); also require's level 35+ item. Only applicable to Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots in the 10-19 and 20-29 brackets.

Weapon Enchants:

Lifestealing: Chance on hit: Steal 30 heath from the target, has about a 10% to 20% proc rate.

Crusader: Chance on hit: To heal for 75 to 125 and increases Strength by 100 for 15 sec.
Proc chance: Chance on hit(%) = weapon speed x 1.82

15 Agility: +15ap, +dodge, +15 amour, +crit chance

Icy: Chance on hit: Slows targets speed by 30% and time between attacks is increased by 25% for 5 seconds. Doesn’t proc much, I have used it and I think it sucks overall.

Fiery: Chance on hit: Fire a fireball at target to deal 30 fire damage, can crit for 60.

Hunter Strategy: Now a hunter should be able to beat someone in a 1 on 1 fight, especially against a melee class, my main is a hunter and I know from experience that trying to hit a hunter in a 1 on 1 fight is pretty hard, especially if they know how to kite.

I have seen non twink hunters beat twink warriors and twink rogues just by kiting and letting there pet do most of the damage. Hunters aren’t really flag runners so that is best left to rogues and high HP and amour twinks like bear druids, warriors and some pally’s.

HAPPY TWINKING EVERYONE

Hey everyone. been loving all your surport in game for my guides, thanx heaps. With in the next month, I will be redoing all my twink guides. I will be adding some more seations, like buffs etc and i will be linking all the gear so it will be alot easyer to compare.
