WoW Millionaire is a World of Warcraft gold guide which is designed to people who feel that their knowledge about getting gold isn't good enough. In WoW Millionaire, I'll give tips, auction house lessons and other things about WoW economy. You can usually find a new post every week of the WoW Millionaire guide. WoW Millionaire is provided free by wow-pro.com.

Today's topic will be rewarding for Herbalists ands Miners. Selling ores and herbs is one of those things that makes you very much gold in World of Warcraft, in other words: Farming. Farming is by far the most simple and easist strategy that exists, it can be done by everybody with a high level gathering profession. So for this topic, I'll give you the routes that I found most optimized to follow in Icecrown and Sholazar Basin.

Sholazar Basin

Sholazar Basin in the heart of all gathering professions. There is Adder's Tongue almost everywhere, and also a pretty amount of Saronite Deposits and Titanium. Therefore, you will also run into a lot of other farmers. I suggest you take on your PvP gear (if any) before starting your routes. Pros of Sholazar:

  • Lot's of Herbs and Nodes.
  • Easy beatable mobs.
Cons of Sholazar
  • A lot of other farmers.
  • Adder's Tongue / Tiger's Lily sells low on most server due to a lot of farmers in Sholazar.
  • You can be unlucky and run into hackers aswell.

Herbalism Route:

Mining Route

Yellow Line = Route
Red Line = Hotspots

Icecrown

In Icecrown you will not find just as many farmers like in Sholazar. But the area is much bigger, and there's not as many nodes and herbs. You will find more Titanium, and Lichbloom's and Icethorn which normally sells for better. Pros of Icecrown:

  • A few alternative routes, the area is bigger than Sholazar.
  • You can find Icthorn/Lichblooms.
Cons of Icecrown
  • Nodes and herbs is sometimes blocked by mobs.
  • Not far so many spawns as in Sholazar Basin.
Mining:

Yellow line = Route
Blue Line = Alternative route(s)

Herbalism:

Yellow line = Route
Blue Line = Alternative route(s)
Red Line = Hotspots

Sholazar herbalism route

Submitted by Andre on Thu, 2009-11-12 01:43.

In sholazar basin herbalism route you are skipping River's Heart... WHY? basicly there are always 2-3 herb spawns ( Rose thingy, long time since I farmed) might depend on server pop and the amount of people farming but the area around lifeblood pillar has no know herb spawns what I know of.

you should consider adding

you should consider adding engineering mote extracting routes for northrend... I know you can farm a ton of air in Scholozar and there is also a very optimal fire route that can be achieved over dragonblight, wintergrasp, and borean tundra.

Just some ideas! Good guide!
