Ok, here's the deal. When you just start playing WoW or you move to a new server, you'll find yourself with very little bagspace, very bad equipment and sometimes even a lack of skills, all because you don't have enough money to buy it! However, making a nice amount of gold while you're still below lvl 10 is not really hard!
I've found a nice mining loop in Elwynn forest, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete (depending on your lvl and luck) and in the end you will have about 80 to 100 copper ores! One stack of 20 copper ores sells for an average of 2.5g on most servers, so in the worst situation you will earn 10g in 45 minutes!
"But what about those guides where you can earn 50g in 1 hour, that's a lot better!" Well, that's true, but those guides require you to be a certain (probably high) lvl, where this mining loop only requires you to be somewhere between lvl 5 and 10!
Here's what we're going to need:
Add-ons:
- Auctioneer: This add-on scans the auction-house for you and automatically picks the best price for your auctions! Can't be a good tradesman without this add-on!
- Cartographer: Not only does this add-on give you all the maps of the whole world without ever exploring them, it also tracks stuff you loot from the world. You're able to see where you've looted herbs, ores or treasure boxes just by pressing the M-button!
As of patch 2.3 there are some slight problems with these 2 add-ons. If Cartographer doesn't work you might wanna try using Gatherer. If Auctioneer is bugged for you, you'll just have to look up the prices yourself and do some calculating 
Ingame stuff:
- Mining profession: Pretty self-explanatory...
- A mining pick: What else do you want to mine your ores with!?

Also, I suggest picking up the skinning profession (this requires you to have a skinning knife in your inventory). This is the easiest profession to take, because you can skin every 'beast' monster from his fur/hide and then sell it on the Auction House!
First off, get to Stormwind, if you're a human this is easy, just check your map.
If you're a dwarf or a gnome take the Deeprun Tram from Ironforge and you're there!
If you're a Draenei or a Night Elf it's a bit more complicated; take the boat to Auberdine, then from there take the boat to Menethil Harbor (it's the dock pointing towards the south). Walk through The Wetlands and Dun Morogh towards Ironforge and take the Deeprun Tram from there! Offcourse you can also search for a kind mage or warlock to give you a portal/summon but this will probably cost you some money!
In Stormwind, scan the Auction House using the Auctioneer add-on. Do this by talking to one of the auctioneers and pressing the 'scan' button. Go do something for 10 minutes (call your girlfriend/boyfriend/mother for a change ) and then return when it's done scanning.
Pick up the mining (and skinning if you want) profession, along with a mining pick (and a skinning knife) make sure your bags are empty (except for the pick and knife ofc) and head out towards Elwynn Forest!
Here's the route we're going to follow:

Start off by heading to the south and then follow the red line I drew on the map above! Easy right? While walking kill everything that gets in the way and don't forget to skin them! If you're still around lvl 10 you can actually get quite a nice amount of experience from this too!
When you get to the the Fargodeep Mine (the first one) just enter one of the entrances and walk through the cave all the way to the other entrance.
South of Eastvale Logging Camp is 1 node, you can choose to take this one if you feel like you don't have enough yet, but I usually leave it there, since you won't really miss it!
The Jasperlode Mine only has one entrance/exit so just walk all the way to the end of the cave and then just head back out.
The end is right where you've started, at Stormwind. I suggest taking a break since it can be quite boring and the mining veins need time to respawn. Time to cash in! Go to the Auction House and see what price your Auctioneer Add-on advices you to set for a stack! If you have a stack with less then 20 ores, don't be afraid to dump it there too, the add-on will automatically set the right price comparing to a full stack!
I hope this guide is off any use to new players, it sure gives me a nice money-boost when I'm starting a new character on a realm! Feel free to leave a comment with suggestions (don't be too harsh on me though!

the only thing wrong is
the only thing wrong is you can make more money doing other things like skining and when you skin you get exp because you had to kill your target also leather is just as valuable as copper ore and is more interesting to gather
otherwise this is a helpfull guide if you want to get some gold

i found a way to make some easy cash, you can go to ravenholdt manor and buy a gnomish cloaking device plans which sells for 24S and you can sell it on AH for 8-10G

On my server, Lothar, a stack of copper bars go for 4-5 g. I made 200 gold before I hit 20. (I was horde mining in Durotar)

I have tried this on several of my alts. And it works great! Each server was about 1 to 2 gp on copper bars, and the skinning was great too. The light leather sold for about 1 to 1.5 gp, and ruined scraps about 1 gp. Helped immensely, I think i found a few nodes that weren't on your map, but maps was fantastic. I financed three alts wth a 45 pally doing the miner/skinner option. Thanks alot!!!

But 500 ore equals...25 stacks of copper ore; now on my server, 20 ore is sold for about 1g to 2g; so that's a measly 25g. I truely do NOT think that u got 600g out of only 500 copper ore. It sounds right, but if u go into the proper maths; then it isn't.
P.S. Would it really take 3 hours to smelt taht much ore?
But if you had 500 STACKS, then maybe that would be a lot...

what i think
i did this on a lvl 16 rouge it toke me about 30 mins to doo full route......i got 90 copper ore and sold 20 for 50s i got about 200 in 2 time on the route....it was a good route.....thanks for the guild it was good!!!!

on most servers stacks of Copper Ore go for 1+ gold, so check the AH's prices before to max out profit by undercutting those slightly

Just wanted to let you know there are 2 ways out of the Fargodeep Mine, the first one is up the ramp, which most people take I think, and then there's another one off to the side next to a chest. Not sure if it helps

Actually if you're Draenai
Actually if you're Draenai or Night Elf you don't have to trek all the way to Elwynn Forest if you want to make cash mining ore. Darkshore is LOADED with both copper and tin ore, all you have to do is head east until you hit the zone wall between darkshore and Felwood and just head north, then once you hit the northernmost tip of the zone where the tigers are (past the nagas), turn around, head south along the beach, then head south past the point where you originally started (I usually start my run where the moonkin are at) I end my mining run where the level 20 furlborgs are and head back north along the beach back up to town . Usually I end out with around five stacks of copper ore and around one to one and a half stacks of tin, and if I'm lucky five pieces of silver or so. I'd recommend if you want to do this mining run, that you be at least level 18 so that the tigers and naga up further north and the furlborgs and wild animals to the south don't give you too much trouble. You can make most of the run if you're level 15 or so, but I wouldn't recommend going past the tower of althalaxx to the north, or going past the grove to the south, else you'll be tasty prey to the animals lurking down there.

Depends on Server Economy (plus tips)
On Ravencrest's Alliance side, Copper Ores and Bars go for 1g per stack on weekends, 1g50s in mid-week. When I first started in WoW, I made a fair amount of money buying Copper and Tin on the weekend when they were cheap, then reselling them on Wednesday/Thursday when fewer people were selling. Through a combination of brokering other peoples' ores and farming my own, I had at least 100g by level 30 (I don't really remember how much I had, but for whatever reason I believed that the level 30 mount cost 90g, so I know I at least had that much plus a few gold for training.) When I branched out to another server, I was much more efficient about it, and farmed herbs in the Draenei starting areas; I made 100g in a weekend while leveling 1-21 (granted, it was Wrath launch weekend, so prices were inflated; under 2.4.3 conditions, I probably would have made ~60g).
As long as I'm here, I'd like to offer a few tips:
1) Gathering professions are absolutely the way to go at lower levels. Crafting professions pay off later, after you've spent hundreds of gold making products that sell for less than the raw materials would; those professions are better reserved for high-level characters who've acquired seed money either from gathering or from quest rewards. Once your main character gets to a high enough level (I'd recommend at least level 60, but 80 would be better), you can either start him/her on a crafting profession, or start a second character and have the main character fund his/her training.
[Example: My main character was a Warrior who took up Mining and Skinning; that provided more than enough income for my Priest to level up her Tailoring and Enchanting. Once the Priest's skills get up to 300 or so, she'll be more capable of supporting herself. Before that, crafting professions generally cost too much to level efficiently.]
2) Buy the biggest bags you can afford, then buy bigger bags as soon as you can afford those. Bigger bags mean more slots to hold stuff, which means fewer trips back and forth to sell your goods, so the bags pay for themselves very quickly. 14-slot bags should work fine until level 30 or so, but after that you'll probably want to upgrade to 16-slot or larger bags. After that point, bag prices climb exponentially, so you'll want to really consider whether an 18-slot bag is worth ten times as much as a 16-slot bag.
3) On a similar note, if you're heading out specifically to gather items for sale, sell your junk to a vendor, and dump all unnecessary items off at the bank before leaving town. More bag space means less time running back to town to sell junk or auction your ores; in other words, more space means more gold per hour.
