We apologize for the downtime, but our server went down unexpectedly and it took some time to fix the problem. The site is back up for now and technicians are working on getting the speed back up to par. In the meantime we ask everybody who has started posting our guides on forums and spreading them on other websites to stop immediately and take them down. Jame has full copyright on his work and he did not grant anyone permission to publish, distribute, sell or otherwise use his guides on any site but www.wow-pro.com.
If you see our guides posted anywhere else, please leave a comment and inform us about it, we’ll write to the site-owner.

Thank you.

It’s ok if some people loadIt’s ok if some people load it temporarily on their site to help other players if my site is down, as long as they remove it when wow-pro.com is back up. But it’s not ok if those sites are trying to make money out of the situation.

What is really unacceptable are those shady sites trying to make a quick buck stealing other people’s work. For example crazyarcher and the likes, that guy does nothing but steal my guides and put them on his site, surround it with advertise and makes money off my back.

HelloJust wanted to say I am the owner of litg.wordpress.com. That was my old blog and I no longer update it or anything, but I was reviewing the traffic for July and seen that I had over 800 visitors for the 27th…thought it was quite strange…but oddly enough all the visits were to my one post about your guide.
Just wanted to say I never meant to infringe on any copyright material and was simply passing on the great information that is available at your site here.
I also no longer play WoW, but I still think you have done a great job in helping players out.

    Have a nice day.

    Sean

    Welcome backHi,

Thanks for all the great guides and I appreciate all the work you do.

However if your website is down, is it not a good thing that these people host your guides? Aslong as they give full credit to you and link back to you and just say, this is only temporary while wow-pro is having web issues.

    Isnt this a good thing?

It means you always will be able to provide people with the help they need even if you encounter technical difficulties.

I of course agree with you if they are selling the guides, however the websites atleast linked in these comment boxes really do not appear to be doing that.

Just my view on this whole situation. Thanks again for the great guides and you do good work =)

I actually don’t mind googleI actually don’t mind google cache, because the content still remains on our website. I just loathe all those gold selling/exploit websites who shamelessly steal my guides and put them up on their sites to make a buck.

google holding the guides in cacheHi, regarding your help about the content of your guides being posted around the net, i thought id bring to your attention that during the site downtime all of your guides were available via googles cache feature. I know you think highly about your intelectual rights, and i thought i would point this one out to you. As its google though dunno really what you can do about it :s

Great guides btw love em and always use them 🙂

I found a site using an older version of Jame’s guideWhile the site was down, I was looking for other sites with the guide, stumbled upon one.

The site here is using an older version of the guide.
I’m not sure if its still copyrighted, seeing as its been revamped, just wanted to help.
