How To Install:
- Download the addon using the big shiny button.
- Download TomTom from WoW Interface or Curse. TomTom is important! Without it, you won't see the arrow telling you where to go! Get version v70000-1.0.0 or later.
- Unzip the downloaded files into your addons directory. (How do I unzip the file?)
Windows 7/8 location:
C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons
Mac location:
Macintosh Main HD/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons
- Log into the game. In the lower left-hand corner of your character select screen, you should see an "Addons" button. Click it. The WoW-Pro addon and TomTom should both be listed. Make sure they are checked, and you're ready to go!
- If you have any trouble installing the guide, stop by our Addon Help Chat Room to get help!
You can also visit the WoW-Pro Leveling Addon Troubleshooting Guide, where you'll find a fix for most common issues.
Features:
- Will cover EVERY zone, not just the "best" ones
- Automatically checks off steps as you progress through the guide
- Completely customizable view
- Arrow and map points show you exactly where to go
- Adjustable XP settings work with...
- Heirlooms
- Recruit-A-Friend
- Dungeons
- PvP
- Works great with partially leveled characters
- Integrated quest tracker (can be disabled if desired)
- Integrated quest item buttons
- Supports step skipping (the guide knows the difference between a skipped step and a completed step)
- Innovative "sticky steps" help you manage quests you need to complete as you go!

Waypoints
Hey guys, thanks so much for the new addon! I love the cleaner look.
One issue I'm having is that I am not getting waypoints with the guide for Icecrown. I don't know if it is an issue with the guide or if there is something stupid that I am doing to mess it up
I have tried both Carbonite and TomTom, (yes, the setting to emulate TomTom is checked in Carbonite).
Just wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem, and if so, how it was fixed.
Thanks again for the awesome guides!
Horde or Alliance? Let me
Horde or Alliance? Let me know and I'll check out the guide file and see what I can find.
Alliance. And after some
Alliance.
And after some more playing, I've noticed that I get a few arrows, mostly on active steps (go kill this, click this...).
Where I am really missing the arrows is when I am told to pick up a new quest, but there is no tooltip saying who to go to, and no arrow to point which camp the giver is in.
Thanks again.
Ah, this is probably a
Ah, this is probably a holdover from when we were using Lightheaded for these things. It's probably a guide file issue then and not a mistake within the addon's code.
Since IC won't be getting destroyed in Cata, hopefully we can get someone to correct those steps soon
I have the same issue, for
I have the same issue, for me it's alliance.
Will try other zones later.
Zone names on non EN clients
I am currently testing it on a French client. It works wonder so far, safe for the "Zone not found. Using current zone" message that appears after each completed step (commenting the line #30 in the WoWPro_Mapping.lua file works fine to prevent it from being printed).
I was wondering if something could be done to localize the names of the zones without rewritting all guides for a specific language? Otherwise, could an option be added to hide this error message?
Thanks for all your work, your guidesof this site were already incredibly helpful, but this little addon is utterly full of win.
Thanks Gzou! Another user
Thanks Gzou!
Another user from WoWInterface has already got me started on making a localization file for this. I'll also add the option to turn off that error message, or perhaps automatically turn it off if the translation is not available with a warning on start up that the coordinates may not be correct.
Cataclysm
Since you now are hosting the addon on wowinterface and curse, is it possible to get the addon contributors beta keys?
We are signed up for a key
We are signed up for a key from both Curse and WoW Interface. At the moment, the key font has run dry - Blizzard hasn't awarded any addon-related keys since July 22nd. We can only hope they award more soon.
Not that addons can be used
Not that addons can be used in the beta yet anyway.....one of the 1st things I'm going to try and find out off a GM, who wants to bet againist the answer being "soon"
Addon - v1.0.0 - Release
New version of the addon is available for download here, on github, WoW Interface, and Curse! Download links in the above article.

Enjoy!
Thanks Ralpb! You inspired
Thanks Ralpb! You inspired us to get started on it, so I'm glad you are pleased with the final (ish) product
We are still going to add a lot to it, but I think the next thing I will work on is a guide recorder/editor.
What should I use?
I've been using the [im assuming] outdated? wow-pro leveling addon..
Is this release a replacement?
If so, will it be able to catch up with where I am on the old addon?
And, is it worth it? Or should I stick with the old one?
Yes, the old one is
Yes, the old one is outdated.
This is a replacement.
It will catch up *roughly* to where you are, though you'll need to select the guide that you are currently on. Basically the addon checks what quests you have completed and checks all of those off, but a couple of steps might not automatically complete.
Is it worth it? Definitely. There are a TON of new features and you'll need to switch over for the Cataclysm guides eventually anyway since we're not going to be writing them for the old addon anymore.
Recruit a Friend System (RaF)
In the listed features I see that it says the program works with xp adjustments such as, RaF and Heirlooms. However I cannot seem to find a configuration in the pogram for these features. Please Help.
Thanks In advanced.
I think what that is
I think what that is referring to is setting your Rank setting to Rank 2 or maybe even 3. This allows you to auto skip some of the quests, and focus on the main quest line of the zone. Since you are getting extra xp from the heirlooms / RAF you will be outleveling each zone if you do every quest, which is what Rank 1 setting does.
Emmaleah == bravely leading the way since ... um a long time ago...
thanks :D
Ok thanks Jiyambi :]
I was nervous about which I should use..so thanks for clearing that up!
I'll start using it immediately, lol.
Some guides disapeared...Maybe
Ok, when i go in the Addon, i don't see anymore guides between lvl 20 or so till lvl 60 around.
Well, i have 4 lvl 30 character that can go to STV, eastern side and do the old quest at the 1st camp, in the north (not in Booty Bay ... don't remember right now the camp name...). The shimering is dead now (that was the lvl 30+ place to lvl up, Western continent).*IT IS BETTER TO BE LVL 25 AROUND TO DO QUEST THERE, lvl 30 = grey and green colored quest.
lvl 34-35: wpl, Andorhal
Just want to give this info cause i was stuck till i found myself what to do...
***RamoroK***, just for u all XD
question
wonder what to set in difficulty/completeness for lvl 80-85 if someone want to rush to 85 fast 1 2 or 3?
