Tonight, Azeroth trembles and breaks under the assault of Deathwing!

That's right folks, the Shattering is here and WoW-Pro has your back! We have tons of leveling guides for the new zones already coded into the WoW-Pro addon, with several other new, useful additions to the addon. In this article, I'll list the guides we will have available tomorrow morning when the Shattering occurs.

Horde Zones Covered:

  • Durotar
  • Azshara
  • Northern Barrens
  • Ashenvale
  • Stonetalon Mountains
  • Southern Barrens
  • Desolace
  • Dustwallow Marsh
  • Feralas
  • Thousand Needles
  • Felwood
  • Tanaris
  • Un'Goro Crater
  • Silithus
  • Eversong Woods
  • Ghostlands
  • Silverpine Forest
  • The Blasted Lands

Alliance Zones Covered:

  • Azuremyst Isle
  • Bloodmyst Isle
  • Dun Morogh
  • Elwynn Forest
  • Westfall
  • Loch Modan
  • Redridge Mountains

Currently many of these guides are only available in addon form. However, in the future website-based versions will be added.

As you can see, we haven't finished all of the guides yet. If you'd like to help us fill in the gaps, please check out the WoW-Pro Recorder - recording your questing can really help us out!

WoW-Pro Category Update

In the coming days we will be working to re-categorize the guides here on WoW-Pro, as the Shattering has thrown more than just Azeroth into chaos. Many guides now belong in the archive, their content no longer part of Azeroth. Examples include:

  • Old 1-60 leveling guides (Blood Elf and Draenei guides are still applicable though!)
  • Removed World Bosses (nightmare dragons, etc.)
  • Removed quest chains (Scepter of Shifting Sands)
  • Removed items
  • Removed Raids (Zul'Gurub)
  • Removed Achievements

WoW-Pro members of trusted rank or higher should be able to help re-organize these guides. Simply click the "Outline" tab at the top of a guide to change it's category. We'd really love some assistance in moving these guides to their correct locations. Thanks!

Awesome, you guys are great!

Awesome, you guys are great! I'm very interested in helping out with the recorder. I'm going to be rolling a dwarf shaman, so I'll be able to upload guides for the dwarf starter area and some of the other zones not completed yet. I also plan on starting up the loremaster achievement on my horde druid, and I'll start tackling some of the E. Kingdoms Horde quests.

The Shattering: Addon Update!

I'm very pleased to announce that the Cataclysm version of the addon is now available for download, on all our normal addon distribution sites as well as WoW-Pro.com.

Click here for a direct download.

New in this update:

  • ALL NEW Cataclysm guides! See the guide list section below for a full list!
  • Looted item tracking - works just like quest tracking, for steps where you need to gather a number of items.
  • Reminder for new spells! When you have a new spell available, this small icon will appear above your guide until you train it. You can click the icon to see what spells you have available.

Bug Fixes:

  • Massive restructuring to improve performance and allow development of new modules.
  • Scroll buttons should now function correctly.
  • The guide window should correctly remember it's location and size.

WoW-Pro Needs YOU!

As you can see, we have a TON of guides ready for you to use with the Shattering and Cataclysm. However, some are still missing. If you'd like to help us out and get YOUR NAME in an addon downloaded by THOUSANDS, go download the WoW-Pro Recorder and record your questing! It has TONS of new features that make it very easy to use, whether you want to simply turn it on and forget about it, or edit and improve your guide as you go. Check out my Guide to Using the Recorder for more information on how you can help out!

Known Issues:

  • Currently TomTom does not function properly in the Northern and Southern Barrens, either Stranglethorn vale zone, or any Cataclysm only zones. The world map waypoint should work, but the mini map and the crazy arrow do NOT. They should function normally for all other zones, however, and this should be fixed in the near future!
