for anyone who picks up tailoring remember, unlike BS and engineering, etc. tailoring doesnt go with another profession, so i suggest picking up enchanting, and when you get mats for stuff you dont need, DE the lower level atuff, then enchant your stuff over and over, it makes leveling enchanting and tailoring all to easy, its really cheap, and quick, consider
Enchanting is a good choice, but some of the best tailoring items require leather, so I prefer skinning. You'll end up with a bunch of leather that you don't need for the tailoring, and make a serious profit.
I used skinning to support my tailoring aswell, incredibally easy to level, good money from spare leather and it means you rely less on others to supply the mats to you.
Enchanting is also a good choice as it can get very costly to do it without a low cost supply of greens
either way is good, personal preference is the main concern here. (i chose skinning cause its really simple ;])
You do not need skinning to support tailoring: you can fish all the leather you need.
When tou go fishing, search the dark circle spots to fish in. Almost every time you catch a box, you will find some leather inside it.
I also like this idea as my main is skinning/leatherworking (with the skinning much higher than the leatherworking, I don't spend enough time in town to get all the fiddly little threads and dyes and stuff) and I can pick up tailoring/skinning on my alt and shoot mats back and forth.
