Make gold with Engineering

Here's a nifty trick for all you engineers to get some quick gold.
Get to creating Advanced Target Dummies (requiring 185 engineering skill).
They require:
1x [Iron Strut]
1x [Gyrochronatom]
1x [Bronze Framework]
4x [Heavy Leather]
Then use them anywhere and wait for them to destroy themselves and loot them. Occasionally you will loot [Fused Wiring] which on my server sells for 5g a piece on the AH. You will also loot lots of the parts back which makes it easier to keep creating them. Unfortunately the Dummies have a 2 minute cooldown, but I still managed to make 40g in about 1 hours work.
Hope this can help some poor engineers out there.

The WOW 2.1 patch should now have a Fused Wiring recipe

"An engineering recipe to make "Fused Wiring" can be found in both Everlook and Shattrath"
I am not sure what skill is needed for the recipe nor what level mobs surround the above locations. The minimum skill for needed for a recipe that has a "Fused wiring" mat is [Goblin Jumper Cables], which is skill 165. And per the rule of thumb about a trade skill being about 5X your level, the [Goblin Jumper Cables] should be creatable at about level 33. Unless the above new recipe is as low enough level and skill for those who want to make [Goblin Jumper Cables], prices may stay high. So... watch AH for a while, as this guide may become obsolete (or, it may not).
Since I like and use Target Dummies (either type), I typically must bank a stack or two because I do not want to flood the market. On my server's AH the median price is about 4.75-5G (Auctioneer's suggested price), and yet at times (about 50%) my auctions expire without a bidder. I suspect those expired auctions simply mean level 33s consider 5G for just one mat to be a large & prohibitive expense (when anyone can research most any WOW web-site to find out how easy they can be made). While I typically experience no competition, there are times when those competitors will ask for the same 5G BO (if not more).
Again: As of now you need to watch prices because Blizz has changed the rules of the game (and to their credit, Blizz does say you should expect such to happen)
Other Target Dummies
It works with the first target dummy too. I'm sure the drop rate might be different, but I've gotten a few with the first set of target dummies so far.
