Now let me start off with shamans are not an easy class to play or level up but they are in fact a very powerful class. Shaman's were nerfed very many time in the beggining of the game every other class except rogue happened go get buffe but shamans were the only class that yes got nerfed but they are still a very powerful class now onto the guide.( also im not sure how to add pictures so im very sorry)

(1. Races) There are 3 classes that can be shaman

  1. Tauren abilities
    1. War Stomp stuns enemies for 2 sec 2 min cooldown this ability is very good against casters stops spellcasting and is also great for getting of a quick lesser healing wave Smiling
    2. Endurance 5% hp inc after all of your hp is added from stamina also very nice
  2. Orc
    1. Blood fury inc your base atk power by 25% and reduces all healing effects on you by 50% a good ability when you are out of mana also great for grinding
    2. Ax specialization +5 skill to axes nuff said
  3. Troll
    1. Regeneration inc your hp regen by 10%
    2. Berserk inc your casting speed and your atk speed by 10% and increases your health regen depending on how much hp your at 30% max.

(note i only said the abilities that are useful to a shaman)

The 3 races racial abilities are sort of a toss up they are all god for a shaman but tauren are the most seen shamans. So pick whichever one you want and stick with it there isnt any race that ends up being better tho a quick reference would be.

  1. Tauren are Great for meelee and casting such as a Enhance/Resto build or a enhance elem build either way
  2. Orc are great meelee hands down enhance all the way then resto if you want or elemntal
  3. Troll dont make the greatest meelee fighters so i would stick to Resto elemntal build
    dont let this restrict you to what race you play tho im just stating which is most commomn to see.

Shaman Formulas
these are some helpful formulas for shamans pleaz correct anything i say if it is wrong yes i said pleaz correct me so find some flaws and mistakes that i hope i didnt make

* Your level's worth of agility will increase your chance to crit on a melee hit by about 3% (+60 agility will give a level 60 shaman +3% crit).

* Your level's worth of agility will increase your chance to dodge by about 1% (+60 agility will give a level 60 shaman +1% to dodge).

* Every 7 strength provides 1 additional damage per second ( +70 strength will give any shaman +10 DPS).

* Every point of strength provides 2 melee attack power (+70 strength will give any shaman +140 AP).

* Every point of strength increases the amount of damage you block with a shield.

* Every point of intellect adds 15 mana (MP).

* Your level's worth of intellect will increase your chance to crit with spells by 1% (+60 intellect will give a level 60 shaman +1% to crit with spells.)

* Every point of stamina adds 10 health (HP).

* Every 10 points of spirit regenerates 1 mana per second.
This can also be described as "five spirit yields 1 mana per tick"

* Every 18 spirit increases health regeneration by 1 health per second (9 spirit restores 1 point of health per tick)

Spells & Abilities
this is a list of shaman abilities and usefullness im not listing all there abilities what do you want form me people i do need to sleep and my fingers are alread ystarting to BLEED! O pleaz excuse my rants and continue reading

  1. Healing Wave 3sec cast shamans "NUKE"heal can be taken down to a 2.5 sec cast with resto talents.
  2. Lesser healing wave 1.5 sec cast great for a quick heal this is always my main heal.
  3. chain heal wll not much to say here 3sec cast heals up to 3 targets first for 100% then becomes less for the subsequent targets
  4. Healing stream totem well its a water totem and it heals people for 2 min if ur healing always drop it
  5. Mana spring totem same thing as healing stream only it restores mana if u have another shaman in the group figure who is dropping which. but otherwise only dro pthis when people are drinking

SHOCK SPELLS
( the core of a shamans DPS other than meelee)

  1. Earth Shock a great tanking ability ( generates a large amount of AGRO) also interupts any spell that the targets iss casting and they cannot cast another spell of that school for another 2 sec
  2. Frost Shock does damage and slows a target for a few seconds
  3. Flame shock Does good burst damagae and puts a DoT on the Target ( the most mana effiecnt shock spell if u let the DoT run its course)

Totems
(just a few that i happen to use a lot groups and solo)
( also quick note i bound all my totem to the num pad 0-9 and swiched autorun to the delete key so i wouldnt acidently turn off num lock Smiling helped me a bunch hope it helps you)

  1. Healing spring talked about it above

  2. Stoneskin Totem reduces the damage u take

  3. windfury totem give your party members a NERFED form of Wundfury Wep

  4. grounding totem this is great against casters redirects a spell cast on you or a party member ot itself 15 sec cooldown paired with earth shocks this can lock down casters

  5. Grounding totem well this is 1 of 2 abilities that effictively slows people that a shaman has but it can also slow groups of people great for PvP or just keeping mobs that are getting low on health slowed.
