[Gold Making] Uldaman Farming Guide

Uldaman Farming Guide

The age old question: “What’s the best way to farm gold?” Well, it all depends on who you ask. With Silithus open now, there are lots of business ventures selling drops there for eager reputation-seekers, however I stumbled upon a very great place to farm gold. Unfotunately, only Rogues and perhaps Druids can farm it. Uldaman.

There are several bosses, chests and other loot you can grab in this instance.

Kel'Thuzad down!

The Lich Kel'Thuzad, last boss of the 40-man raid instance Naxxramas, was killed tonight for the first time anywhere by a European Horde guild: Nihilum. A big congrats to them for this huge accomplishment!

Follow this link to see the loots!

Let's hope the Burning Crusade expansion will bring us a lot of new challenges of the same quality as Naxxramas, which is truely the best endgame raiding instance that has ever been designed. I'm sure Blizzard will manage that, but in the meantime, most guilds still have a lot to do before they can kill Kel'Thuzad Eye

New design

The forums have been redesigned and we hope that you like the new looks. It should be easier to navigate around as well now. You might have noticed that the site finally received a theme as well. Of course this is just the very beginning of many more enhancements that you can expect in the coming days.

If you don't like something or if you have suggestions we strongly encourage you to post them. The next things we'll focus on will be:

  • The main navigation menu
  • take care of preview bug (posts that are previewed currently appear on white background)
  • Primary links that will appear on top
  • Smileys (need to be redone along with the smiley block)
  • Better explanations (on how to make guides etc, what and how to make news posts)
  • More graphics in general

Sapphiron defeated!

Sapphiron, the frost wyrm, last boss standing before the Lich Kel'Thuzad, has been killed for the first time today, by the guild Death and Taxes from the Korgath realm.

Apparently Sapphiron always drops two epic items, like those two:

and two of those amazing shoulder slot enchants:

Rumor has it there are more of those shoulder enchants, one that benefits ranged dps classes and one that benefits tanks. Pretty damn nice!

Now only Kel'Thuzad remains in the necropolis of Naxxramas... how long will it take until a guild defeats him? Stay tuned...

Sapphiron engaged for the 1st time!

First of all, here is a little summary of Naxxramas, home of the Lich Kel'Thuzad, and most difficult 40-man raid instance in all of World of Warcraft. There are 4 wings in Naxxramas: Abomination Wing (4 Bosses), Spider Wing (3 Bosses), Plague Wing (3 Bosses) and Deathknight Wing (3 Bosses). So that's 13 bosses already to defeat, and they need to be defeated to open the door to the last 2 bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad.

A few days ago the guild Death & Taxes on the realm of Korgath finally defeated the last and most difficult of the 13 bosses, the Four Hoursemen, and gained entry to Sapphiron's Lair.

Here is their first video of the encounter, the least I can say is that it looks truely amazing!

High quality
Low quality

I recommend the high quality version, enjoy.

General

Threat Reduction Effects
This system has been redesigned to eliminate inconsistency in how the effects work. Previously, some were additive (for example: 30% reduction + 20% reduction = 50% reduction) while others were multiplicative (30% reduction and 20% reduction made 44% reduction, from 0.7*0.Cool. They are now all multiplicative.
