Alchemy: 1 - 375
Alchemy
A dubious, expensive yet rewarding and interesting skill, alchemy can be a great beneift to your character. This is the fastest way to level your alchemy from 1 to 375. This guide will only use recipes that require herbs and vials.
Getting Started
A lot of herbs are needed to ahcieve this goal. Create an alt storage character (or an alt herb farmer) and have him mail the herbs back to you. Since the last item mailed appears first, have the alt mail the items you need first last.
Gold
If you farm all the herbs yourself, this will cost around 50g (for recipes and vials) but if you buy all the herbs, you will be paying over 300g. Try to have some spare cash lying around if you are buying the mats as sometimes you won't reach target levels.

Lacking Umph.
I have been looking at the herbalism/alchemy combo for a new toon. I like to research before I start. After reading this guide, I felt I had to make some comments.
On the positive side:
For giving a list of the minimum effort required to get Alchemy to 375, two thumbs up.
On the negative side:
Personally, I like a guide that gives me rationale for being an alchemist. In Snowflakes herbalism guide, they pointed out where the herbs are used and which recipes were in demand.
The opening statement of this guide, "A dubious, expensive yet rewarding and interesting skill, alchemy can be a great beneift[sic] to your character.", is never explored or even validated. Why is it dubious? And, certainly, it is not expensive compared to other professions. And please explain why it is rewarding and interesting in the author's opinion. And, most of all, how is Alchemy a great benefit to a character.
I would also like to know the role Alchemy plays in the great scheme of WOW. I believe the role of a guide is to "guide" you through the skill, preparing and aligning you to be most productive (would wealth be its quantitative scale?), and helping you avoid various pitfalls.
Imho, the "brief overview" was copied from another source and not verified. A few clumsy (and not proof-read) sentences were placed before it. (A brief overview usually implies that the full story will follow, so change the banner or write something.)
Suggestions:
Eliminate the drivel at the start or back it up with reasons. Go on... tell us why Alchemy is rewarding!
List where the recipes can be obtained.
List the lucrative products.
Tell us why we should choose Alchemy as a profession.
Tell us about the the specialisations.
Guide us!

A Little update...
A Little update... Super Healing Potions are now made with 2 x Netherbloom instead of 2 x Dreaming Glory.

As this guide is quite old I wanted to check how much it would cost now to level up alchemy today. Of course it will vary from realm to realm but you can get idea.
Azeroth mats: 550 gold
Outland mats: 200 gold
So adding recipes and etc. that would be 800g total today to 375. Still cheap compared to some other professions and you may sell some of that stuff you made to twinks/alts.
Also I would like to add that if you get 325 skill (and have at least level 68) you can get alchemy specialization. If you wondering which one to choose - almost everyone get Elixir Mastery those days.
Fault in the guide.
I must say, it's a really nice guide you have made there, exept one little thing. The Super Healing Potions do NOT require 40 Dreaming Glory, but 40 Netherbloom (or w/e). Of course I didn't notice until I had farmed 40 dreaming glory for like an hour+.
Made me enrage and shoot angry-bolt volley in the face of every person within 200 yard. Then I got happy because a stack sell for 30-50g on my server.
If you just have made the same mistake and is seeing this, lol pwnt.

Hey Zerox! Allow to make a suggestion about text formatting, which could improve your guide a lot.
Check Jiyambi's Leatherworking Guide and try to use it as an example.
If you have any question about the text formatting used in her guide you can send her a PM and I'm sure she'll answer you

Hey mate
, just thought I should add. To anyone planning on using this guide I would suggest that if you're farming or even buying all the mats that you allow for some extras, at some points during the guide I didn't get the target level,so have some spare gold aside just in case.
Other than that, great job dude
Admin's note: Fixed spelling. Please do an effort with your spelling next time. Use "I" instead of "i", and "you're" instead of "ure". Thanks in advance.

I suggest you give the proper credit to the authors of the tradeskill guide.
You obviously took it from:

based on Ithilian work (http://www.xs4all.nl/%7Ebrt/wow/guides/skillupalchemy.html).
It's nice to have those guides posted there but it's fair to give people who did the work the proper credit.
