The stats you need
To get into tanking you are obviously going to need proper gear. As a death knight tank, the stats you are going to want are:
- Defense (Until capped at 540)
- Stamina
- Strength
- Hit Rating
- Dodge&Parry
- Expertise
The List
This list has been compiled with the best gear us death knight tanks can get Pre-Naxx. Some is from Heroics, some from Normal Dungeons, and some from Professions, Emblems of Heroism (Obtained from Heroics) and Reputations. As you will be below the defense cap until you have most of the gear (The full set should get you to around 543 Skill), I recommend DPSing Heroics, as you will be incapable of tanking them successfully.
