ALDOR AND SCRYER REPUTATION GUIDE

Aldor Lore

Shattrath was once the draenei capital of Draenor. Its name means “dwelling of light.” When the Burning Legion turned the orcs against the draenei, the fiercest battle was fought there. The draenei foguht tooth and nail, but in the end, the city fell. The city was left in ruins and darkness until the Sha’tar arrived. The Sha’tar, whose name means “born from light”, are the naaru who come to Outland to fight the demons of the Burning Legion. The naaru were drawn to the ruins of Shattrath City, where a small remnant of the draenei priesthood conducted its rites inside a ruined temple. The priesthood, known as the Aldor, quickly regained its strength as word of the Sha’tar’s arrival spread. Reconstruction of Shattrath was soon underway.

It wouldn’t be long, however, before the city came under attack once again…

Scryer Lore

This time, the attack came from the armies of Illidan Stormrage. A large regiment of blood elves had been sent by Illidan’s ally, Prince Kael’thas Sunstrider, to lay waste to the city. As the regiment of blood elves crossed the bridge, the Aldor’s exarchs and vindicators lined up to defend the Terrace of Light. Then the unexpected happened: the blood elves laid down their weapons in front of the city’s defenders. Their leader, a blood elf elder known as Voren’thal, stormed into the Terrace of Light and demanded to speak to the naaru A’dal. As the naaru approached him, Voren’thal knelt and uttered the following words: “i’ve seen you in a vision, naaru. My race’s only hope for survival lies with you. My followers and I are here to serve you.”

The defection of Voren’thal and his followers was the largest loss ever incurred by Kael’thas’ forces. Nor were these just any blood elves. Many of the best and brighest among Kael’thas’ scholars and magisters had been swayed by Voren’thal’s influence. The naaru accepted the defectors, who became known as the Scryers.

(Sorry if there are any typo’s I had to type all of the Lore out because I couldnt copy+paste. Blizzard are poopie heads.)

SO, basically. Aldor are Draenei, and Scryer are Blood Elves.

LOCATION

Aldor and Scryer can be found in Shattrath City in Terokkar Forest in Outland. Once you are in Shattrath, you will see these areas on the map. You will have to take the elevator to get to these areas if you don’t have a flying mount.

REPUTATION

To start getting reputation with Aldor and Scryer, you need to go to Haggard War Veteran in the middle of Shattrath City (you must be level 60 or higher), and get the quest [65] A’dal. He will send you to A’dal, the big glowing appearance in the middle of Terrace of Light.

Upon completion of this quest you’ll receive 5500 experience and 10 reputation with Sha’tar. Now Khadgar (who stands right next to A’dal) will have the following quest for you: [65] City of Light. Completing this quest will unlock two quests:

  • [65] Allegiance to the Aldor
  • [65] Allegiance to the Scryers.

Accept the quest corresponding to the faction of your choice (scroll down to see the rewards before you decide). Choose carefully, as once you start getting reputation with one faction, the other faction will become hostile towards you. You can change faction at a later point, however it involves a lot of farming and work.

  1. AldorThere are repeatable and non-repeatable quests for gaining faction. If you are aiming for higher ranks (exalted, etc.) you should save the non-repeatable quests for later (it gets harder to get faction, the higher your rank is), as the non-repeatable quests give a big faction boost. Most people (beside Draenei) will start out with the Neutral reputation rank. Draenei are already friendly upon completion of the first quest.

In order to get Aldor reputation, you need to turn in Mark of Kil’Jaeden (click here to view the item) at Adyen the Lightwarden, who can be found in the Aldor Rise. You have two possible options:

    • You can turn in 10 x Mark of Kil’Jaeden for 250 reputaion.
    • Or you can turn in single Marks for 25 reputation each.

(note that this quest gives Sha’tar reputation as well)

The Marks drop from lower ranking minions of the Burning Legion. Click here to see examples of mobs that drop the Marks.

(also note that Marks of Kil’jaeden can only be turned in until level 68! Then you need to turn in Marks of Sargeras or Fel Armament )
Please check the following guide if you want to farm Marks of Sargeras and Fel Armaments: Mravestein Aldor/Scryer Tokens Grinding Guide

After turning in a few you will be friendly with Aldor. You will continuously be able to turn in Mark of Kil’jaeden from Friendly-Honored. Once you turn in approximately 250 marks, you will be honored. Then you can either, go to Area 52 in Netherstorm, and get quests from the Draenei (however there are more non-repeatable quests, for a full list click here and scroll down) in the inn and do those lines of quests, or you can turn in Mark of Sargeras(click here for the item) from Honored-Exalted, which are also 25 rep points per, or 250 per 10. (Those drop from level 68+ mobs belonging to the Burning Legion. They can be found in Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm, and Shadowmoon Valley). Click here for a list of mobs that drops this item.

Also, you can turn in Fel Armament, they are a bit harder to find/get, but they give more reputation. You can turn these in on the Aldor Rise in Shattrath City at Ishanah, High Priestess of Aldor (he’s inside the Shrine of Unyielding Light), they give 350 reputation points per. This is a very good way to get Aldor Reputation.

Depending on the amount of non-repeatable quests you do, you will need approximately between 900-1300 Mark of Sargeras or 80-95 Fel Armament to get exalted.

  2. ScryersThere are repeatable and non-repeatable quests for gaining faction. If you are aiming for higher ranks (exalted, etc.) you should save the non-repeatable quests for later (it gets harder to get faction, the higher your rank is), as the non-repeatable quests give a big faction boost. Most people (beside Blood Elves) will start out with the Neutral reputation rank. Blood Elves are already friendly upon completion of the first quest.

In order to get Scryers reputation (especially at lower levels), you need to turn in Firewing Signets (click here for the item) at Magistrix Fyalenn, who can be found on the Scryers Tier. You have two possible options:

    • You can turn in 10 x Firewing Signets for 250 reputaion.
    • Or you can turn in single Signets for 25 reputation each.

(note that this quest gives Sha’tar reputation as well)

The Signets drop from lower ranking minions of the Firewing. (Northeast region of Terrokar Forest) Click here to see examples of mobs that drop the Signets.

(also note that Firewing Signets can only be turned in until level 68! Then you need to turn in Sunfury Signets or Arcane Tome )

Please check the following guide if you want to farm Sunfury Signets and Arcane Tomes: Mravestein Aldor/Scryer Tokens Grinding Guide

After turning in a few you will be friendly with Scryers. You will continuously be able to turn in Firewing Signets from Friendly-Honored. Once you turn in approximately 250 Signets, you will be honored. Then you can either work on the following quests (click here scroll down), or you can turn in Sunfury Signets (click here for the item) from Honored-Exalted, which are also 25 rep points per, or 250 per 10. (Those drop from level 68+ Blood Elves belonging to the Sunfury. They can be found in Netherstorm, Tempest Keep, and Shadowmoon Valley). Click here for a list of mobs that drops this item.

Also, you can turn in Arcane Tome, they are a bit harder to find/get, but they give more reputation. You can turn these in on the Scryer’s Tier in Shattrath City at Voren’thal the Seer (he’s inside the Seer’s Library), they give 350 reputation points per turn-in. This is a very good way to get Scryers Reputation.

Depending on the amount of non-repeatable quests you do, you will need approximately between 900-1300 Sunfury Signets or 80-95 Arcane Tome to get exalted.

I may be a noob, since thisI may be a noob, since this is the first I’ve read about the lore of either faction, but if they’re allies, why am I hated by one side, when I’m loved by the other?

Quote:Most people (beside[quote]Most people (beside Draenei) will start out with the Neutral reputation rank. Draenei are already friendly upon completion of the first quest.[/quote]

This is incorrect. The completion of the first quest (Allegiance…) will boost anyone who completes it to Friendly w/ the faction they choose, and will ’cause them to loose an equivalent amount of reputation with the opposing faction.

At least, that’s what happened with my Tauren, and something tells me Tauren don’t have any reason to get bonus rep with the Aldor.

One more thing, as the poster above me observed, Marks of Kil’Jaeden and Firewing Signets can be turned in for rep up until Honored, regardless of character level.

Ok, I hope you don’t mindOk, I hope you don’t mind Revolutions: I updated the whole bbcode and while doing that I took to opportunity to add some stuff here and there. I added a map, exact quest details, details on how to obtain faction with either Scryers or Aldor and and finished by adding Shoulder enchants.

The guide starts to look really nice now. The only things missing would be guidelines on how to farm reputation items and maybe details on how to revert the faction choices. (I didn’t do that yet because I didn’t want to pat too much into your work Revo :))

Hope you like the changes. Promoting this to front page.
