Once you get to level 70, you will soon find that you want to be Revered or Exalted with a lot of factions. You’ll need to be Revered to get your Heroic key for each set of instances, and it’s likely that at least one faction will have a reputation item that you’ll want to buy.

If you don’t plan ahead, getting to Revered with Cenarion Expedition can mean a lot of Steam Vaults runs. If you want to avoid that, a little planning and patience will get you Revered with no trouble.

Ways of Earning Reputation

There are a number of ways to earn reputation with the Cenarion Expedition:

  • Handing in Unidentified Plant Parts (Until Honored)
  • Killing monsters in Slave Pens or Underbog (until Honored)
  • Killing monsters in Steam Vaults (until Exalted)
  • Killing monsters in Heroic Slave Pens, Underbog, or Steam Vaults (Revered to Exalted)
  • Completing quests (until Exalted)

With a little planning, you can utilize the easier methods of gaining reputation (low level instance runs and hand ins) to get to Honored status. After that, completing most of the quests available to you will get you to revered before you reach level 70.

Neutral to Honored

Until you reach Honored status, be sure not to complete any quests that will give you Cenarion Expedition reputation. There are quest givers in western Hellfire Peninsula, eastern Zangarmarsh, northern Terokkar forest, and most of the higher level zones as well. If you don’t know what type of reputation is rewarded by a quest, look it up on WoWhead.com.

You will utilize two methods to increase your reputation from Neutral to Honored.

Unidentified Plant Parts can be handed in to Lauranna Thar’well at the Cenarion Refuge for reputation. Each set of 10 plant parts will give you 250 reputation. You can farm these all over the area, although it is quicker for herbalists to kill the Bog Lords in the Deadmire. If you want to spend some money, go to the Auction House and purchase 360 plant parts. If you receive any Uncatalogued Species from your Pack of Identified Plants do not turn them in yet.

Alternatively, you can make a few runs to the Underbog and Slave Pens. Killing monsters in here will give you reputation until you’re Honored.

If you combine these two methods, you should be able to get to Honored with a couple of instance runs and a little time or money spent on plant parts.

Honored to Revered

First, look in your bag for any Uncatalogued Species that you found from you Package of Identified Plants. Each of these can be handed in for 500 reputation. It’s completely random whether or not you get them, but if you hand in 300 plant parts you can expect to get 1-3 of these items.

Next, continue to do all of the quests available to you. First, you should return to Hellfire Peninsula and complete the quests in the western part of that zone. Then, complete the quests available throughout Zangarmarsh. Once you complete the quests available in Terokkar Forest, you should be 10,000 Reputation or so towards Honored.

You will find another large group of quests available in Blade’s Edge Mountain. Doing these should be more than enough to push you into Revered status.

Congratulations! You’re revered! You have your heroic key for Coilfang Reservoir. If you plan ahead accordingly and save all quests until after you become Honored with the Cenarion Expedition, you can easily get to Revered by level 67 or 68 (when you reach Blade’s Edge Mountain).

Good luck, and happy heroics!
