Once you get to level 70, you will soon find that you want to be Revered or Exalted with a lot of factions. You’ll need to be Revered to get your Heroic key for each set of instances, and it’s likely that at least one faction will have a reputation item that you’ll want to buy.

If you don’t plan ahead, getting to Revered with the Sha’tar can mean a lot of instance runs. If you plan ahead, you can make it to revered with some cash or time spent grinding, a series of quest chains, and about three instance runs.

There are three ways to gain reputation with the Sha’tar:

  • Hand in items to gain reputation with the Aldor or Scryer (until Honored)
  • Complete quests that grant Sha’tar Reputation (until Exalted)Once you get to level 70, you will soon find that you want to be Revered or Exalted with a lot of factions.

    • Complete quests that grant Sha’tar Reputation (until Exalted)
    • Kill monsters in Mechanar, Botanica, or Arcatraz (until Exalted)

By combining these three methods correctly, you can get to Revered shortly after hitting 70.

    Neutral to Honored

When you hand in items that give you Aldor or Scryer Reputation, your chat log doesn’t record a change in Sha’tar Reputation. However, if you open the Reputation pane, you’ll see that Sha’tar Reputation does indeed increase at a rate of 50% of the Reputation gains made for Aldor or Scryer.

A hand in of Marks of Kil’jaeden, Marks of Sargeras, Firewing Signets and Sunfury Signets will grant 125 Sha’tar reputation. A hand of a Fel Armament or an Arcane Tome  will grant 175 Sha’tar Reputation.

Until you are Honored with the Sha’tar, do not do any quests that will grant Sha’tar reputation. Instead, continue to gather and hand in items for your faction – either Scryer or Aldor. You could farm the items directly, but it would probably be more time efficient to farm another item for money and then purchase the reputation hand ins on the Auction House. You will eventually want to be Exalted with either the Aldor or the Scryers, so this is killing two birds with one stone.

    Honored to Revered

For the next 12,000 Reputation points, you’ll want to complete a number of quest chains that grant Sha’tar Reputation. Completing all of these quest chains, along with the three required instance runs, will get you to Revered or within a few points.

    Quest chains in Terokkar Forest:

    Quest chains in Shadowmoon Valley:

    Quest chains in Netherstorm:

  • Assisting the Consortium (3 Steps, 0 Reputation, Pre-requisite for the next chain)
  • Warp-Raider Nesaad (10 Steps, 3000 Reputation)

The final quest chain (beginning with Warp-Raider Nesaad) will take you through the Mechanar and Botanica to obtain the Arcatraz key. You will then have to go into the Arcatraz and kill the final boss – Skyriss. Doing these three instance runs will grant you approximately 5600 Sha’tar Reputation.

Once you have completed these quest chains, you should be Revered or within a few points of Revered. If you haven’t quite made it, you’ll need to make one more run into one of the Tempest Keep instances. You could also try to arrange for one of your instance runs to be made while A’dal’s Song of Battle is active (the buff granted to all players after someone kills Kael’thas and hands in the Verdant Sphere).

Revered to Exalted

Many players will want to get to Exalted with the Sha’tar, including tanks (looking for Crest of the Sha’tar) and healers (looking for Gavel of Pure Light).

The only way to continue to advance your reputation is to return to one of the Tempest Keep instances. If you want to continue to run regular instances, you should focus on the Botanica. It provides the most reputation per full clear.

If you want to work on getting a Badge of Justice or two, though, you should go to Heroic Mechanar whenever possible. The first three “bosses” (the Mechanical boss and the two Gatekeepers) are very easily and quickly killed (30-45 minutes), so people are always willing to go. You will easily find a willing group, and you can obtain three Badges and a hefty amount of rep for very little time invested.

Congratulations on earning your Warpforged Key, and happy heroics!

Wow nice job Wow very nice job I got my 70 warlock exalted with the sha’tar. I didn’t see anything wrong with the guide. *I was kinda sick of trying to get exalted by cloth* so I checked out your guide and I’m glad I did.

    Thanks again,
