FF16 Echoes of the Fallen Achievements guide
A Crystal Darkly
Achievement description: Brave the dusk.
This is the first Trophy you’ll get. Speak with Charon to start the Sidequest: Echoes of the Fallen, follow the steps and you’ll quickly unlock this one.
The Only Way Is Up
Achievement description: Enter the Spire.
Follow the Sidequest: Echoes of the Fallen objectives and you’ll unlock this one as soon as you enter The Sagespire.
Bit Fit
Achievement description: Obtain all Fallen bits.
Fallen bits are new accessories from the DLC. There are 6 of them in total, 4 can be found in Treasure Chests and 2 of them are spoils from Boss encounters. Follow my walkthrough below to make sure you loot them all.
OMG
Achievement description: Defeat Omega on “Final Fantasy” mode.
If you don’t know what Final Fantasy Mode is, you should first follow my FF16 Platinum Guide for the main game, and I’ll tell you when you’ll be ready to come back here. It’s a waste of time to finish this DLC on your first playthrough, the most efficient way is to complete this DLC in Final Fantasy Mode only. Final Fantasy Mode is a New Game + / Hard mode you unlock after finishing your first playthrough of the main game.
Repercussion
Achievement description: Silence the Echoes.
You unlock this Trophy after defeating Omega and coming back to the Hideaway and talking to Charon.
My Reward is With Me
Achievement description: Obtain the Omega Weapon.
You can craft this weapon at Blackthorne’s forge at The Hideaway, after you’ve defeated Omega. You’ll get the required crafting materials for this Weapon by defeating the Bosses from The Sagespire, which will all be covered in the walkthrough below.

This is more than just a Trophy guide, we’ll grab everything, every single item that can be looted, will be looted.
If you haven’t followed by FF16 Walkthrough for the base game and aren’t sure which build to use to clear this DLC easily, here’s my build advice:
EIKONS SETUP
- Deadly Embrace (Mastered)
- Flames of Rebirth (Upgraded)
- Judgment Bolt (Mastered)
- Arm of Darkness (Mastered)
- Gigaflare (Mastered)
- Diamond Dust (Upgraded)
- Cold Snap (Mastered)
- Rift Slip (Upgraded)
- Dancing Steel (Upgraded)
ACCESSORIES
- Ring of Timely Focus (it’s the best accessory in the game period. If you need detailed explanations, follow my walkthrough of the main game, you’ll understand why 😉)
- The Breath of Darkness +1 (if you don’t have it, use Genji Gloves instead)
- The Pull of Darkness +1 (if you don’t have it, use Lightning Rod and not Rift Slip. Why? Because Lightning Rod will allow you to charge your Zantetsuken to Level 5 with a single Dancing Steel if you hit the Lightning Rod on top of the enemy)
HOW THE BUILD WORKS
- Dodge with Cold Snap to get a Permafrost on the enemy. This will be easy thanks to the Ring of Timely Focus.
- Once the enemy is Permafrosted, get close, drop Lightning Rod and follow immediately with Dancing Steel. This will fill up your Zantetsuken Gauge to Level 5.
- Use Limit Break and Zantetsuken, follow up with Gigaflare.
- Use your other Eikonic Abilities while waiting for Dancing Steel to refresh.
Repeat Step 1 to 4.
For the Eternal Dance Combo Build (using Rift Slip and Cold Snap to keep enemies permanently frozen), check this video to see how this build works, you won’t regret it.
The Guide’s format
This will be a double format Guide. There will be a full video walkthrough AND a very compact text walkthrough. For now, only the text version is available, the videos will be done later.
The video walkthrough will contain more detailed combat tips, so I suggest you check them out once they’ll be available.
Each video will have a list of timecodes with all the important moments in the episodes:

- Timecode for each Combat tip and boss strategy
- Timecode for each Important info given
- Timecode for each Trophy obtained
All cut scenes and NPC dialogues will be included, but if you want to skip them it will be quite easy to do so: each video will be spilt into chapters, with clear labels so you can skip the parts you don’t want to watch or would rather watch on your own.
The text version of my Final Fantasy 16 Walkthrough should also be quite useful, it is very compact, and whenever the direction or explanation isn’t detailed enough, you can always check the video to get a clearer direction.

Q: Do I have to follow your character build exactly ?
A: No. You can follow this guide and do your own build and you’ll be fine. FF16 is very flexible with respecing. You can reset all your Ability Points at any moment for free, so you can copy my build at any point if you’re struggling.
Q: Can I follow your guide if I’m on PC / PS / Xbox?
A: Not yet. This is a PlayStation exclusive for now, but there will be a PC release and my guide will be 100% compatible with the PC version. The achievements will be the same.

Note: cool item if you’re really good at Parrying, but it actually doesn’t help you much with the timing. It tells you when your blade should LAND, not when you should press the button. It’s not nearly as powerful as the Ring of Timely Focus in my experience, especially with Permafrost being vastly superior to Parry.

Combat tips:
Phase 1:
- Use Diamond Dust and Gigaflare early
- Wait for Melee Attack to Permafrost / Dancing Steel
- At 70% HP will lock
CUTSCENE: Is it Over?
Phase 2: Omega Aionios
- Ion Eflux is a lot of projectiles, focus all your attention on Dodging
- Pantokrator means he’s gonna prepare some heavy abilties. Omega will need time to recover after each, giving you a window to Dancing Steel:
- Atomic Ray: jump over the fires waves, then watch the ground closely, there will be small gaps in between the circles, which are safe spot where you must stand
- Hyperextension: straight double beam attack. Quickly Dodge sideways.
- Maximum Overdrive: a series of heavy ground slams
- High Maneuvers: he’ll jump high in the air and dive at you, be ready to Dodge
- Below 40% HP, he’ll start combining the above moves. For example, Atomic Ray can happen while Ion Eflux is going on.
- At 30% HP a cutscene will occur
CUTSCENE: Dimensional Compression
Phase 3: Omega Aionios
- Will Bar disappears. Circles are shrinking progressively, so you must move closer to the Boss and focus on Dodging in between your time freezing abilities.
- This is a race against the clock. So we must keep our DPS high, which is not a problem with our Zantetsuken optimized setup.
