Here’s the guide I made while I was leveling my
character to 350.  I was level 68 when I did this and had a ton of gold.
I tried this 3 times with different races and classes, and found that sometimes
the skill level varied if I stopped crafting something and then start again.
You can sell everything made except; Delicate Copper Wire, Bronze Setting,
Mithril Filigree, and Thorium Settings
. You will need an alchemist to make
you a Mercurial Stone (1 Primal Earth, 1 Primal Life, 1 Primal Mana). &nbsp Comments are always welcome.

    Hi Hawke621,

    The x 40Hi Hawke621,

The x 40 means you have to build 40 of them. I’ll have to look back in my notes (once I find them) but I’m sure it only costs 1 bar per. The 2 may have been a typing error.

Sorry everyone, I’ve been away from Warcraft for quite a while. When I get my gold stores built back up again, I’ll try different ways to get it built upith less costs. Cansado has lots of changes for me to try.

    Thanks again for your comments.

Help pleaseok i found this guide about 3weeks ago and since then i have been saving up my mats that are on the shopping list but now that i have just about all my mats i want to start but i cant due to confusion…

    1-35: Delicate Copper Wire x 40 (2 Copper Bars )

i have the 40 Copper Bars that are asked for on the shopping list but how do you make 35 Wires with 40 Bars? 1Wire=2bars ,and what is the “x 40” mean? :jawdrop:

    # 262-281: Simple Opal Ring# 262-281: Simple Opal Ring x 20 (1 Large Opal, 1 Thorium Setting)
    # 281-290: Glowing Thorium Band x 10 (2 Azerothian Diamond, 1 Thorium Setting)

Simple Opal Ring goes yellow at 280.
The trainer gives you the Glowing Thorium Band recipe at 280.
The Glowing Thorium Band recipe starts out at red.

    So far, so good.

But wait a minute, why did you select Glowing Thorium Band (2 Azerothian Diamond, 1 Thorium Setting)?

There is ANOTHER red recipe called Diamond Focus Ring (1 Azerothian Diamond, 1 Thorium Setting).

    Quite a big oversight there.

    I suggest this path:
    # 262-280: Simple Opal Ring x 20 (1 Large Opal, 1 Thorium Setting)
    # 280-290: Diamond Focus Ring x 10 (1 Azerothian Diamond, 1 Thorium Setting)

Sure, it’s yellow from 285 to 290 but it will still give a skillup every time, or just about every time, and the material cost can’t be argued with.

Truesilver Healing RingOn most servers, Truesilver Healing Ring (2x Truesilver Bar, 2x Heart of the Wild) will only run you 5-6g per craft.

The guide is pretty good but I’m pointing out all alternative paths that I find as I follow the guide.

There are hundreds of gold to be saved by making tweaks to the guide.

Keep doing Ruby Pendant to 275! Much cheaper! Why the change to Simple Opal Ring so early?

    # 253-262: Ruby Pendant of Fire x 10 (1 Star Ruby, 1 Thorium Setting)
    # 262-281: Simple Opal Ring x 20 (1 Large Opal, 1 Thorium Setting)

Ruby Pendant of Fire actually gives skillup every time up to 275, and not only that; the Star Rubies are much cheaper than all the Large Opals/Azerothian Diamonds/Huge Emeralds, since Star Rubies have the highest drop rate when prospecting for gems in this range, leading to a lower price on all servers.

Therefore, keep doing this recipe to 275 (which is where it stops being viable).

Not true everywhereThe cost is 4000+ gold on my server. 1993 would be a dream price.

Cheaper ways 225 to 230At 225 your trainer will teach you Dense Stone Statue (10 x Dense Stone), which, depending on your server, can be as cheap as 1-2g each. This may be a good way to finish the last few points to 230.

Also, at 225 you learn the Thorium Setting recipe. I HIGHLY recommend that you START with these as soon as you reach that point, as it’s a red recipe, learned at 225, and takes just ONE Thorium Bar (ca 2g each). Compare that to the almost 20g per Aquamarine Signet.

Better (cheaper) path from 200-230Design: Golden Hare

    Available at Jewelcrafting (200).
    Goes yellow at 225.
    Keep making it until 230.

This is a common world drop that you can often find on AH. It is the cheapest of all recipes to craft in the range of 200 to 230, requiring just 6 gold bars and 2 citrine, it’s less than half the cost of the other recipes. I highly recommend it. Here is what someone on thottbot had to say:

“Trinket’s kind of neat, but this thing is far better to get for leveling jewelcrafting. Picked it up for 4 gold and saved probably 100 gold or so on not having to buy multiple stacks of aquamarine to make the aquamarine signets. Snatch this thing up quick if you see it, it makes one of the tougher level ranges in jc’ing a little cheaper.”

The resulting item is BoP and sells to vendor for 15 silver. Or, if you are a disenchanter you can get 1-3g worth of enchanting materials from each.

    170-200Also,

    171-181: Engraved Truesilver Ring x 10 (1 Truesilver Bar, 2 Mithril Filigree)

This recipe can be done to 200 if 1 Truesilver Bar and 4 Mithril Bars (Truesilver Ring) are cheaper than 1 Citrine, 2 Elemental Water, 2 Mithril Bars (Citrine Ring), which it probably will be. Those 2 Elemental Waters cost 9g on all servers I have been on (due to the rarity of the item), which is far pricier than the cost of making an engraved truesilver ring. There’s also a limited supply of Elemental Water due to this.

    Aug 29, 2008 @ 16:57 pm

    regarding 170-200You write the following:
    # 171-181: Engraved Truesilver Ring x 10 (1 Truesilver Bar, 2 Mithril Filigree)
    # 181-210: Citrine Ring of Rapid Healing x 30 (1 Citrine, 2 Elemental Water, 2 Mithril Bars)

There is a Vendor pattern, called The Jade Eye, which only requires 2 elemental earth and 1 jade. It is available at 170 and goes red at 200. It is VERY cheap to make compared to both the above recipes, but of course this depends on the server.

    Food for thought perhaps.

And who cares if it’s a limited supply pattern? It can be found from vendors in capital cities. Also, you had us collect 20 Large Fang for the Barbaric Collar and that’s an item that you almost never find 20 on AH from, so timewise, what is the difference between farming for Large Fangs for 1 hour or getting a limited supply vendor recipe in 15 minutes?

I highly suggest making Jade Eyes from 170 to 200.
