Argh… what should I do?I’ve reasently sold out all the things i’ve gatherd in my bank after I completed almost all the quests in netherstorm and now I’m sitting on about 4000g but got quite little time to play now so I dont feel spending it by grinding. So should I proceed with the quests in Shadowmoon or wait for your guide since it’s much faster than me running in cirkles dont knowing what to do 😕

BusyLooks like you are keeping yourself busy 🙂

I love your guides and have two questions regarding the WotLK versions.

1. How are you planning on handling the multiple starting zones in Northrend?
2. Do you have any plans to revise the 60-70 guides to the lowered experience reqs for these levels?

Keep up the wonderful work and good luck in your new country.

Hey, glad you love my guidesHey, glad you love my guides 🙂

1. I’ve chosen Borean Tundra for Horde and Howling Fjord for Alliance.
2. Yes, that will be done while I do my first Class Specific Leveling Guide, probably without 3 months.

And thank you for your encouragements!

starting zonesHey Jame i am a big fan of your guides i just want to ask.

You said you are doing borean tundra for horde and howling fjord for alliance.
Will you at a later date do and alliance for borean tundra and horde for howling fjord or is there no point in doing them?

Yes, I’ll do that rightYes, I’ll do that right after I finish my Northrend guides. There’s definitely a point in doing them: A lot of easy xp, gold, rep, items and of course, achievements 🙂

Jame, was thrilled to findJame, was thrilled to find out you’re going to have guides ready for expansion.

I’ve used your guides to level 5 of my 6 70s, and I’ve found nothing that compares to them. I’ve even got an addon (won’t say which one) that shows me all the locations for quests and quest objectives – and whenever it conflicts with your guide, it gets ignored.

Excited to see what you have for Northrend. To anyone who might be new to Jame’s guides – this is the best you’ll get, hands down.

Just a llittle bit confusedOkay before I begin I’d like to say that your guides are great, ive used them to level to 70 twice now,

Anyhow I’m confused as to how you can release the guide before WotLK is released. Are you in the beta or something?

DK guide?I must admit that i’m a bit confused Jame. 😉

Here you’ve announced that you are publishing your DK lvling guide, but on your blog, you have devided into several parts..

Will the fully guilde (55-80) be released the 7/8th of November, or just the first part (55-60,5) ? 🙂

Thx in regards.

DK vs Other 55-60I’m curious to know if there’s a difference in leveling speed between 55 to 60 for a DK versus the old classes. Are the DK quests more efficient or on par with your old guides?

• img
Oct 10, 2008 @ 20:41

From 55 to 58, the questsFrom 55 to 58, the quests are the bomb and you have to do them anyway, there’s no way around it.

From 58 to 60, I’ve revamped my plaguelands circuits and adapted them to DKs, and the result is a much better XP/hour rate than for other classes, partly due to how much DKs own at this level (and full blue set helps too), but also thanks to the self teleport to the Ebon Hold, which is right above Light’s Hope Chapel, and I’ve abused it to the max in my guide to save travelling time.

Warriors in WotlkHey, Jame
I love your guides and have used them on my toons a lot.

I would like to know if you remember anything about the warrior part in wotlk? Should I be pvping and getting 2x 2h weapons from honor or will there be good weapons in the start of leveling in northrend? I don’t want to waste all that time on 54k honor and end up replacing my weapons in a few levels. Also, how good is the armor dropping in the first few levels like 70-72, etc.? Is it worth spending time trying to get good gear at 70 or will there already be good gear from questing in northrend?
I have tried Wowhead and other sites like them but they don’t seem to really show which quest the weapon or armor comes from or the weapon is usually acquired at like level 74~.

Thanks again for the great guides and I hope to continue using them. 😀

• img
Oct 13, 2008 @ 9:54

There are quite a lot ofThere are quite a lot of good upgrades in the starting zone. At least one good piece of armor for each slot before you finish the first zone.

For example, if you’re Horde and start in borean tundra, the first few quests you do will get you the following items:

Mightstone Legplates
Mightstone Breastplate
Combatant Greatsword

And there’s much more of course, that’s just from the first 5 quests you do.

Rep grind, etc, warnings in new guides?Love your guides. If I might make a suggestion – it would have been great if the earlier guides had had rep grind warnings, like, “if you are a feral druid, consider grinding unidentified plant parts now before doing any cenarion expedition quests.”

If there are such “warning points” in 70-80 for rep or for achievements or whatever, if you could insert something in the guides that would be great.

Good luck on your release dates – very ambitious!

Yes, this is a good idea andYes, this is a good idea and I’ll implement it, but not in my general leveling guides, I don’t want to overload them with any extra infos relevent to only one class.

This kind of info will be included in my class specific leveling guides, which will come later this year 🙂

In any case, I’ll release a full 70-80 Wotlk leveling guide at some point, no matter how much time it takes.

WIGGLES! I just hit 70WIGGLES! I just hit 70 about …. hmmm, maybe a week ago. I hit 70, put on all my farmed pvp gear from 69 bgs, and set out to finish Blade’s Edge, Netherstorm, and whatever else was left of your guide. (note, I took so many breaks, I had rest exp all the way to 70 since level 65,) … so I’ve made probably 1000 gold just doing those quests (sadly spent on gems and other items of nonsense) … and the expansion rears its ugly head. Maybe I’m just too dependent on someone telling me where to go or what to do, since that’s essentially what you’ve done with these guides.

In any case, I wish/hope/need/WANT guides to shadowmoon and the rest of Netherstorm…. but I realize my desires and hopes are minimal and insignificant. I recognize you’re busy, you’re most likely stressed (ionno), and you’ve got deadlines to meet. But I thought I’d just .. eh, toss in my two cents.

• img
Oct 16, 2008 @ 17:36

And your two cents are mostAnd your two cents are most welcome 😛

No worries, I will do the SMV and Netherstorm extra circuits in the future, we’ll just have to be patient.

James – You rockSeriously i think you are the best world of warcraft “Guide Maker” Ever. You fucking rock. i have used your guides since i started and i get to lvl 70 so fast. Maybe its a bit boring some times but you get people to lvl 70 so fast!. I just wanted to tell you that. Keep it going 🙂 😀

I don’t quite get it…I am sooooo happy we’re having new guides from you!! I can’t thank you enough for you’re great job. There are a lot of people that sell their guides and they aren’t as good as yours  !!!
Just a little thingy that I don’t quite get it around here on the Internet:
Why every blog poster, guide writer, site owner, etc. that is about wow is in the BETA? Cuz Blizzard chose RANDOM accounts for testing WotLK…
Anyway, keep up the good work, and I can’t wait till the new expansion! I want that DK quicker!!!!

Oct 27, 2008 @ 15:01

Unfair, Blizz, I’m getting mad at you!! :(Yeah, I was thinking about the same crappy thingy… But what about the others??? What if, for example, someone has 3 full realms of 70s (I don’t think that’s really possible, but it’s just an example) and he wants to join the BETA, and, on the other side, let’s say, Derek Bleacher (it’s just an example, Blake, nothing personal) has only one 60 char that’s staying there just to jump from the Orgrimmar mailbox to the bank thingy, eh?
It’s not that I’m jealous on the people in the BETA, guys, I think this is unfair, it’s a discrimination, for god’s sake!!!

Don’t forget to copy/paste bunny to help him achieve bunny world domination!

• img
Oct 22, 2008 @ 12:53

Well, Blizzard actuallyWell, Blizzard actually never said that beta invites were only sent out randomly. The have made several random invite waves from the opt-in pool (and stupidly random at that. People without a single char above level 50 got invites), however they seem to have also targetted certain groups with extra invites, like top guilds, addon authors and probably also guide creators etc, which makes sense in a way. It wouldn’t be that great if many of the popular addons like FuBar or Bartender could only be adjusted to Woltk after release. I’d hate to play for several weeks with the default interface 😀

<3Can I tell you that you are my hero??? I used to absolutely hate leveling (only had one 60/70 for the longest time), but since i have discovered your guides I have leveled 3 other toons. Thanks for the awesome work! I was worried that I would be without a guide for leveling to 80, but you do not fail me 😉 I can now look forward to the xpac thanks to you! A Few Things to SayHey!
I think this is the second time I have posted, originally on your blog asking about the market and such, but anyway I’ll get right to the point. I simply had a few questions for you, I’ll go ahead and list in a numbered matter.

1. Why do you only allow members to preview the guides currently, If the guides are finished then why not allow members to begin viewing or possibly testing them if they happen to be in the beta?

2. Would you prefer to be referred to as Jame or James?

And lastly, it’s kind of become a requirement for every poster to mention how much they love your guides, so I love your guides!

• img
Oct 28, 2008 @ 19:17

1. Everyone can preview the1. Everyone can preview the guides. I just logged out and tried and I could see the previews. The preview is just the start of the guide by the way, very few lines.

And about members testing them, that would be nice, but right now I don’t know anyone in the beta who could fit that role. Either they don’t have the time, either I don’t know them well enough to trust them with my guides.

2. Jame

And lastly, thank you! :p

• img
Oct 29, 2008 @ 1:23

My MistakeI guess I worded it badly so let me have another go at it 🙂

Why do you currently only allow your “viewers” to preview the guides? My question is if the guides are finished then why not release the full guides?

• img
Oct 29, 2008 @ 8:51

1. They are not exactly1. They are not exactly finished. Still not fully text formatted and still no circuit map
2. Not fully copyrighted yet, anyone could copy paste my guide and then publish it somewhere and pretend it’s his own, and then I’d have to spend a lot of my time on legal battles (no thanks)

• img
Oct 29, 2008 @ 13:47

Death Knights! For my whole entire life that I played WoW, the only class I was playing was the Paladin. Why? I don’t really know. I made a lot of different classes and the only one I didn’t “delete” from my list was the Paladin. Hunters were pretty damn cool, though, they have a pet, can solo everything without problems, etc. But Pallys were more awesome! 😛
But now, things are different… I’ll say it in two words:
1. Death
2. Knights :jawdrop:

Death Knights do a lot of damage, eat and drink as much as Hunters (that means they don’t drink and eat at all). I really think they’re overpowered, and you said, Jame, on your blog, that you will put them to do things in your guide that other classes couldn’t do. And I saw a lot of videos with DK killing like 5 mobs at the same time, and they were almost at full Health. Death Knights are now something more than Paladins (for me :P).
Now here’s somebody that I really appreciate :). He is a site owner, has a lot of blogs, writes guides, and we all love him for his great work! Yup, you guessed, Jame, it’s you 😉 ! I could never enjoy WoW without your guides. And especially that you’re working very hard for us right now, writing the guides for Northrend and DKs. You make our lives easier in WoW with your great guides! We all love you for your great job, keep up the good work 🙂 😉 !!!

Thanks + QuestionHey Jame,
First off want to express my thanks for your guides; they have made levelling a toon a whole lot easier and so much less of a headache…greatly appreciated!!

I had a quick question about your WotLK guides: How come you are releasing them like a week before the expansion goes on sale? Won’t that allow dodgy websites to rip them off in time for the launch as well?

Keep up the awesome work and all the best,

• img
Oct 31, 2008 @ 18:49

The reason is that I want toInitially the reason was I wanted to try to spread the traffic rush over several days, instead of releasing everything on the same day and ending up having a slow site or worse, a crash 😛

This is no longer relvent though, with my new host it should remain smooth no matter how many people hit the site. But anyway, I’m still releasing them one by one so people have something new everyday while waiting for that last week before WotLK release 🙂

I’m not too worried about the ripoffs, people will come here first and they won’t look elsewhere (why would they go look for my guides on some shady website anyway? :P) and if any other website copies my guides, they’ll get taken down shortly after.

Yes, but I knew it was gonnaYes, but I knew it was gonna happen. My guides are done up until Grizzly Hills, that will take most people to level 76. The rest will be released a few weeks after the release, I’ll have to level my characters quickly and then write the guides for the last 4 levels.

Please release the last few guides as a groupHi Jame,

I am begging you to release the Grizzly Hills guides sooner, or at least release the Horde at the same time as Alliance. Reason being, is that I am in Australia and planning on speed levelling to 80. And with the dates that you are going to be releasing the last guide for Horde, I won’t get that until Saturday morning, and given your projected XP rate, I will be at level 75 on Friday night and would have to wait until Saturday morning to continue levelling. I know I’m just one person, but I would love to be able to just keep on levelling without having to break.

• img

Hello Kostada , let meHello Kostada :), let me suggest you to run some dungeons while you wait for the guides! If you are already level 75 then you can join groups for several instances, the drops-rewards are nice and the xp from quest is good. You will have fun and maybe you’ll end ahead of the guides, which is GOOD.

You should also take some time for leveling a crafting profession, if you have one, or just PvP a bit if you don’t care about the /played time. Oh, another thing, you can always roll a Death knight and start leveling him in the outlands!

Bye ^^

Question and Thanks. First of all, I want to say thanks for all the great work that you do putting these guides together. I first discovered your guides about a month and a half ago and used them to level my warlock up really quickly. I already had a 70 warrior that I leveled with no guides and I wish I had found your guides when I first leveled him since it would have been much quicker.

I have been following your Northrend guides with my warrior and have managed to get him from 70 to 100k experience short of level 76. I have done all the quests listed in your guides solo, with the exception of a few of the harder elite quests in Dragonblight, which I grouped up for. I’ve leveled the whole way as prot spec, so if that’s not a testament to how good your guides are, then I don’t know what is.

Since your Grizzly Hills guide is not out yet and I want to get to 80 soon, I am going to have to try to level up on my own. I’m going to use Quest Helper, but I’ve already noticed that it’s not as efficient as your guides are.

Once I get to 80, I’m going to stop questing and will wait until your guides catch up to where I am. What I would like to know is what the release order is going to be for your remaining guides (what order of zones should I go to after Grizzly Hills)? Thanks for all your great work and I look forward to your upcoming guides.

How…?How are you gonna make a levelling guide for Crystalsong Forest when there are no quests there? 😕 Just wondering ‘cos wowhead doesn’t list any quests, and i havn’t seen any quests there.

Any Updates?I’ve been using these guides to level thusfar and I’m almost out of guide! My time is limited these days and I need to hit 80 before my guid starts raiding in 10 or so days. Any eta on when the 75-80 guides will be done? Lord knows, they’re awesome and I want to be able to keep using them…

Nov 18, 2008 @ 9:17

In the meantimeI highly recommend doing the bottom portion of Zul’drak for the end of 76 and then the upper portion after you can fly. Amazingly straight forward quest lines that provided me with about 360k/hr (and I’m easily distracted to boot)

I’ve got my entire guild using your guides now that I’ve passed most of them with my DK.

Just Want to say Thanks From Europe !Hello James,

I just created an account to thank you for these absolute amazing guide you have done. I just dinged 80 yesterday morning and your guides helped me to go 70-76. These are just great and it allowed me to have the “quests” achievments in all the 3 areas.

I had a lot more difficulies past these levels and areas without your guides. Waiting so much for them to use them for my alts and as well to be able to see where I missed quest in Sholazar Basin. I never been able to have the achievment there. I probably missed something.

Anyway. Thanks for your great work !!!

Great JobYour guide is really amazing. Clear, exact, easy to follow. It helped me getting through from 70~76 and now I am out of guide probably have to follow QuestHelper, but I think your guide is so much better in terms of sequencing that this UI is no match to yours.

Thank you and keep up the good work, it must have taken you a lot of time to produce it. Good Job =)

Amazing!Hi Jame,

I just wanted to stop by and say that your guides are pretty awesome! They really helped me level to almost 76 in such short time. Working 40 hours a week means I’m not really able to play that much, but your guide made sure that my time spent leveling is spent in the most efficient way possible.

I’m really looking forward to the 75-80 guides!

• img
Nov 23, 2008 @ 15:54

Another fantastic job :jawdrop: Another fantastic job Jame! I have leveled 4 toons to 70 with ease following your guide as a reference. Almost 80, can’t wait to look over the new guides and see what I missed.

follow what Jame says in his guides and you’ll have a blast leveling. Don’t be afraid to speak out in general/looking for group to get those pesky Group quests done.

enjoyed guidesI enjoyed the guides and think they’re well put together. However, switched over to questhelper and cartographer for the higher level 70s. I think at 77+ when you get cold weather flying which makes this addon combo superior since you can fly everywhere fast and directly.

• img
Nov 24, 2008 @ 16:55

Trust me, it won’t ever beTrust me, it won’t ever be superior in leveling speed than with my guides, even if you were flying on a space shuttle directly to quest objectives.

And in any case, I’ll be releasing an in-game addon version of my guides shortly after I’m done with the paper versions.

• img
Nov 24, 2008 @ 20:32

Indeed, questhelper doesn’tIndeed, questhelper doesn’t tell you where the questgivers are or what quests to get. It’s really best to use both – Jame’s guide for the order, tips, etc, and questhelper for really easily finding the quest objective you are looking for. I just don’t understand why people think they are mutually exclusive, they work great together 🙂

Yeah sometimes the guideYeah sometimes the guide says “Now go to here (x,y)” and it can be frustrating finding where that is exactly. With Carbonite you can guess where Jame Meant for us to go because it’s the place with at least 4 colours 😀

AnxiousJame –

Just finished up with your Dragonblight guide and while I don’t normally try pull times as fast as yours, I still love using your guide because it gets me 100% of the zone in the most efficient way possible.

I think I speak for a lot of people in saying that we’re salivating to read the upcoming Grizzly Hills guide. Hopefully you will be posting it VERY soon, or at least putting up what you have so far. If not, throw us a bone and give us a *rough* ETA.

Thanks Jame – Keep up the amazing and marvelous work you do for the community. We really do appreciate it.

HeyHey Jame,

Just wanted to stop by and say a big Thank You for all the leveling guides and for all the hard work you did. Heaven knows those guides helped me get to 80 as fast as I did. I finished up the Dragonblight guide at about halfway to 77 and then just roughed it through with Carbonite for the remaining levels.

While I was no where near the time others got to 80 (a guild in my server was already halfway through 25-man Naxxramas when I hit 80) but I am already doing dungeons and heroics with my Tanking Warrior and my guildies.

Once again, a big thank you and hope you get the guides up soon for my DK 😀

Extremely impressive guide!Extremely impressive guide! I just did as you told from 60-70 and ding 72 when finished. I love it very much. Still I have quests in Netherstorm, as well as unexplored Shadowmoon. Shall I keep going in the outland or fly to the northrend abandoning the old quests? Thanks for your advice.

• img
Nov 27, 2008 @ 11:00

At 72 you’re more than readyAt 72 you’re more than ready for Northrend, abandon the quests and go there 😉

Wonderful JobHi James, you did a great job in producing such a wonderful guide that make gamers like us a whole lot more easy to level up.No more time wasting and no more nightmare as to where to obtain and complete quest in the shortest possible time.
Although out in the market there is a mods call quest helper. But one need to hunt for the quest giver first before qh can be put into action.Which means we’re questing blindly without proper follow-up and getting appropriate quest.Which in turn might result in unnecessary waste of time trying to complete a undesirable quest.Really hope we can catch up with your next release from 75-80 .James do hope you don’t leave us alone. Please continue with your guide. How can we survive without
your guidiance ?
I face this problem when I level my char from 76-80.Without your guide I had to quest blindly, wondering and pondering around trying to get my char to 80.Looking forward for your next release.

THANK YOU ! James….

Damn these guidesI played wow for about 6 month before i heard about your guides and i managed to level just fine in that time, sure not as fast but a level at a time. Now i’m totally lost without your guides, currently in Grizzly hills and i think i’ll get the explore achivement before i actually finish a quest just by running around trying to find questgivers.
Have you considered publishing the guides in subchapters, more minor releases? That way the pain and suffering of your followers might be somewhat releaved. Just a question from a desperate minion.

Oh and thank you Jame, thank you thank you

• img
Déc 5, 2008 @ 3:02

Thx james, and a suggestionFor the coming guides, is it possible to add a quest flow chart at the beginning?
– It could serve as a sneak peek/preview of guides for us who _really_ can’t wait while u’re doing the details. :p
– It’d be easier for us to check quest chains, because sometimes you’ll want to rush thru a chain first to catch a grp quest LFM
– It is a good place to check progress, especially with all the phasing in the later zones. (I’m looking at u, icecrown)

Anyway ,thanks james! I was looking for questhelper alternative since I want to level my alt to 80 more effectively, then I come upon this guide, looks awesome!

I just worry what happen after I finish dragonblight – will I be addicted to the guide? Will grizzly hills guide comes in time? And there’s ZD and icecrown afterwards – damn!

Thanks for a masterpiece of guidesHi,
I googled your guides 2 weeks before the start of wotlk. I have to say they are outstanding and more than useful. Due to our new born son, I had to level both (my own char and my wife’s char) and it worked out brilliant. I invited my wife’s char (paladin) into my group (me I’m a rogue) and we leveled (I opened wow in the window mode 2 times and played on one computer overlayed) togehter. Some quests have only be done by one group member and it counts for both. I think your guide optimses everything.

We are both lvl 76 now (despite teh fact that we played in a group always!), and I finished the the dragonblight guide yesterday. So I’m hardly looking forward getting the grizzly hills today 😉 !

I’m spreading your www. address to everyone who wants to know how to do this or that – it’s even the guild message of the day – everayday 😉 .

Thanks a lot!!!

You are wonderfulBy following your guides I might be 77, with the Fjord, Tundra, and DB fully completed. All my friends called me crazy when they saw my level 76 self plugging away at a last few quests in the Fjord, but I’ll be laughing once I have the whole of Sholazar, Icecrown, and the Storm Peaks left for quest money! Bwa ha ha! You rule, keep up the outstanding work!

No worries JamesNo worries James. Great job. guides are amazing and if I have to wait another day, its not problem. I have been patiently waiting for the Griz Hills for a week, another day just means another day of grinding mammoth meat, worm meat , etc… to up my cooking. I have been doing it by slow fighting each creature to max out my weapon skills while Im grinding the meats…lol

Thanks again, I just want you to know how appreciated your efforts are….I am in awe at your dedication and sucess.

No worries JameHonestly Jame, with everything you’ve done to help the community at large, I think you can take all the time you like. You play this game for enjoyment too, not to write guides for everyone else to follow. If it takes a few more days, I’m sure most people will let you have some fun.

Remember, have fun, even while you write. Otherwise you might as well consider this a job. And what fun is there in that?

• img
Déc 7, 2008 @ 3:00

no worries I’ve been 80 forno worries 🙂 I’ve been 80 for quite a while, finished the other guides and went ahead on my own. But I am really curious of the amount of gold per zone I’ll get while following the guides. All in good time tho, we really shouldn’t be bitching should we 🙂

Grats on the traffic you’re getting these days too lol

• img
Déc 6, 2008 @ 23:56

Love your guides!I don’t know what i would do without them, and i think i like everyone else are scared to stray off them. Watch when you release Grizzly Hills as everyone gets to 76/77, and then stops for a few days until you release the next…. ^^
And yes. I may or may not have been refreshing the page a lot today 😀

First attempt at following a guideJame first I would like to say thanks for making these guides and making it easier to level for a lot of people. This is my first shot at using a guide but i feel i need to because I suck at levelling.Ill be using Bostons 1-30 guide and Your 30-80 guide.Could you point out if these clash on anything. Ill give you some feedback when im done.

Keep Up The Good Work

• img
Déc 8, 2008 @ 1:17

Nope, they don’t clash onNope, they don’t clash on anything, we worked it out so that they would naturally be compatible with each other 😉

• img
Déc 8, 2008 @ 9:27

No clash at all!I’ve followed Boston’s 1-30 guide on different characters and then Jame’s alliance guide and I have to say that Boston’s work is wonderful, high quality guides 🙂 Just do 1-12 in your starting area and then follow from 12 to 30 if you are not gnome/dwarf.

• img
Déc 9, 2008 @ 10:47

Thanxthank u jame for the great guides, i cant wait for the rest of the northernend guides. I also want to point out that all the quest achivements that the guides naturally give is also a nice add.

Even though I’ve been waiting so long for ur grizzly hill guide for horde to come out, but this period of waiting gives me time to study for my exams, so great timing!!! 😛

• img
Déc 9, 2008 @ 17:02

Have you ever considered..Have you ever considered releasing bits of the guide, if you have completed them?

For example: You have completed the first half of a guide, but not the second half. What I’m suggesting is, that you release the first half because it is finished, and then work on the second half whilst people are using the first half. If that makes sense 😀 Then once the second half is complete, add it onto the first half of the guide. Hopefully people will be occupied, and wont finish the first half until you release the second half.

Or would this put more strain on you? >.<

Just a thought for satisfying us guide addicts even further =)

• img
Déc 10, 2008 @ 19:02

I like the idea
hope youI like the idea 🙂
hope you will consider it!

• img
Déc 10, 2008 @ 19:07

This would be a problem. This would be a problem. Because I change the order of my quest circuits a lot until I’m finished with the zone. It happens all the time.

I’m almost done with the whole zone and then I notice a quest I could have included in another circuit, etc.

So that’s why I’d rather not release parts of my guides, because I would then have to redo the maps to correct the changes.

• img
Déc 12, 2008 @ 23:43

I know the feeling. Jame isI know the feeling. Jame is busting his butt to get his guide done as fast as possible. I know it’s hard to level alone after following Jame’s awesome guides, but if you use questhelper and make sure to explore everywhere to find all the quest hubs, you should still be able to do a decent job of it. Then you can use Jame’s guides for your alts 🙂

Déc 13, 2008 @ 9:08

Love your GuidesBeen using your guides for a while now. They are a huge help for me. I’m so easily distracted while playing wow, but your guides are quick and the returns keep me focused. 😛 I’m close to hitting 75 on my undead priest and I’ve just finished Borean Tundra. Hopefully you’ll have your next couple guides out by the time I catch up to them, but no worries since I’ve got 3 characters to level, including a DK who is only level 62. I’ve got plenty of time. 😛

hey jame, i love your guideshey jame

first off, i want to say i love your guide and they’ve helped me level so fast i couldn’t beleive it. i thought only a crazy no-life could get to 80 quickly, after i spent way too much time looking for random things in zangarmarsh a year ago.

but when i used your guide, i was amazed to be level 77 after one month of WOTLK being out. so this is my question.

i’m level 77, just hit it. i did all instances during your guides and some violet hold runs while waiting, so i’m a bit ahead.

I’m level 77 and have full rested XP to 78. Could I ding level 80 in grizzly hills following your horde guide?

thanks so much

• img
Déc 14, 2008 @ 9:43

Possibleyea, possible u can do it if ull go 5-10 times into instanses so i think u (same as i) can hit 80 at this guide. But there is still no guide, i cant w8 for it !!

• img
Déc 14, 2008 @ 21:23

I have a sneaking suspicionI have a sneaking suspicion that James is delaying the Grizzly Hills guide so all the alliance characters have a head start to 80!! 😉

But seriously, I used all all your guides to level my Rogue to 70 and since the release of WOTLK, to level my DK to 80. Just had to go ahead and finish Grizzly Hills and half of Zul’drak on my own. Thanks for the wonderful guides James! 😀

I’m quite close to finishing it though, so you’ll just have to bear with me and wait a couple more days.

I’m fairly confident that the guide will be released before next wednesday.

Just start running throughJust start running through the rest of the areas and start cleaning them out. Waiting on the guides means waiting to get to 80 which will take awhile, especially since he is just coming out with Grizzly Hills. There are still 3-4 more areas. Just keep moving on and eventually he’ll have all the guides which will just make leveling your other toons easier.

Awesome guides !I followed the guides all the way through Dragonblight, then continued on my own through Grizzly Hills and Zul’Drak. Then I hit 80 :p, which left Sholazar, Storm peaks and icecrown to do at 80. I’m midway through Icecrown now, and have about 4000 gold through questing. It’s just awesome.
And for people feeling lost without the guides, a good place to start would be the quest page in wowwiki. It lists all the quests (well 99% of them) in a zone sorted by hub and NPC.
Besides i did notice that Blizzard has done a great job making quests ‘flow’ into one another, i.e. you;d start at the first hub and a few quests send you nearby and generally 1 quests sends you to the next hub, so I usually try to do all the quests in one hub before doing the quests that sends you to the next one, and I found it quite manageable .
I can;t wait to see the guides for those zones.. I’ve tried to be efficient, but often it was only at the end of the zone that I saw better way of doing things :p

Thanks for the guidesI burned out doing the Sunwell Isle dailies to get my epic mount, and left the game for awhile. After reading your WotLK guides I decided to come back and I’ll be darned if I’m not hooked again.

After doing the first guide I was behind half a level, but by the end of the second guide I was ahead by that much. I finished Grizzly Hills and moved to Zul Darak by myself and I just hit 79 last night. I still miss checking off each objective from the printouts though.

Thanks Jame for all you’ve done.

You Are Awesome Beyond WordsThanks Jame for all the work you’ve put into this guide.

Before the guide, I had no sense of questing efficiency and would often just waste all my time in instances, making me level very slowly due to wasting time LFG and not getting much money (because I didn’t know how to use the AH). Your guide really helped as I was extremely close to quitting WOW as my /played was well over 10 days and I was still in the low 50’s.

After finding your guide, I started a new character following other guides on this site till 20(which are also awesome) and I immediately saw the difference. I found at level 30+ I had already a few hundred gold more than my previous character at 50, and my /played was also significantly less. I just hit 70 for the first time thanks to you and your guides and I would just like to thank you for it.

I just finished up Nagrand and plan to complete your guide in Blade Edge and Netherstorm before moving on to Shadowmoon Valley (which I am terrified of since I’ll be toughing it on my own without your guide:P), before moving on to Northrend for more money from 80 questing.

Thanks again

Keep up the good work!!!!I’m sure you get tired of reading the “when will the next section be out” posts, so I won’t jump on the bandwagon.

My Lock (77) and Shaman (78) have finished Grizzly hills and are camped in Dalaran doing the Cooking Daily. My Shaman is also a Jewelcrafter and is doing the JC Daily. My Priest (76) is about halfway through Grizzly and has been going back and forth to get her Cooking Daily in. My Hunter (72) has finished Borean Tundra and is sitting in Howling Fjord waiting his turn. My Rogue (skinner) ventures out into Borean Tundra to kill various animals for meats as needed and to skin but has hasn’t even accepted the first quest. My Druid, Mage, Warrior and Paladin have only come to Borean Tundra to train their skills. My Death Knight (Miner/Skinner) just made 70 in the last 3 or 4 days and will probably take over the meat farming duties. I have skipped most of the group quests, mainly for lack of patience. I’ll do an LFG for the group quests for 2 or 3 minutes and abandon them. I also have only been in 3 of the instances total, all characters counted. I have been doing the toon shuffle and questing with rested XP for the whole time though.

My point????

Take your time….I would rather have the guides as close to perfect as possible rather than having them come out with many errors.

I paid for a 1-60 Alliance Guide before but won’t mention names (*cough-Brian Kopp-cough*) and find your guides to be of at least equal quality and you just can’t beat the price! I was given the Burning Crusade update for free. I waited and waited and waited for an update on the availability of the other guide up until I left for work the night of the release. By that time I’d heard about wow-pro and read through your Borean Tundra guide. I took Thursday and Friday off to play the expansion. When I arrived back at work the following Monday, I had an e-mail about the Wrath update to my *paid* guide. Needless to say, I didn’t feel the need to update. I have found a more valuable resource here and will be donating in the near future and will continue to do so.

For those that think that your *free* guides are slow in coming can always ask for their money back!!! LOL

I just wanted to post a positive post about all your hard work and to let you know that some of us don’t care when the next installment comes out, as long as it does.

I would, though, like to add my vote to those that have expressed an interest in guides to finish Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley to get the Achievement. I came out to Outland at 68 with my Death Knight, even though you didn’t think we should. I completed Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terrokar and Nagrand. Again, I didn’t do most of the group quests and didn’t step foot in an instance. After 3 or 4 quests in Blades Edge, I dinged 70 and made my way to Borean Tundra to make the Inn my home. Once all my toons have cleared all of Northrend I’ll be making the trip back to Outland to get as many Achievements as possible.

I did a guide on our guild website for the Quel’Danas Dailies but I think that is more than a little outdated to be posted here. I do use quite a few mods and might do some guides on those if you think that might come in handy.

To wrap up a long winded and somewhat erratic post, keep up the good work and take your time. If it’s worth having, it’s worth waiting for.

Is this too long for a first post????

James (with an s)

Quest achievementsJame,
Will all the new guides, Zul’Drak on up, cover enough quests to get the quest achievement for each zone? I did Zul’Drak by myself to get to 80 and I’m still missing 9 quests. I’m scared to start the other zones so I don’t screw them up too!

OK, so here i am atOK, so here i am at 692,791XP into 79 and it takes 1,670,800. I just finished the grizzly hills guide and getting ready to solo the big bear with my DK. Guess i could try to level my rogue which used to be my main until you get this guide done. I feel hopeless without your help.

Great guides Jame. I wish this one was done, but you have put a tremendous amount of work into the guides you have.

Guess i’ll try to do some questing without your guiedes, man im gonna be slow finishing.

Jame’s Leveling GuideHello Jame, I’ve been using your guides basically since the beginning of time 😛 I’ve been playing WoW for about 3 years now, and I’ve leveled many characters at a super fast pace, thanks to your guides. Just thought I’d thank you for your guides since I’ve been using them for years and never said anything. Good luck with your upcoming guides, and thanks again.

new ETA on Zul’drak?Hey Jame, as usual many thanks for the guides.

Is there any new ETA to the Zul’Drak guide after they weren’t ready for the 15th of January?

It would be nice to know whether it would be worth it to venture into Zul’Drak alone or just level an alt whilst waiting.

Thanks, and as usual, keep up the great work.

Hi James,

First, thanks forHi James,

First, thanks for all your hard work. I really like following your guides and try my best to pass this site on to others looking for assistance.

Unfortunately, I finished Grizzly Hills last week and am now running through Zul’Drak on my own. Something I haven’t done since Burning Crusade was released. So far so good, but I know it would be much better with your guidance! Hope you can finish up the rest of the zone guides soon.

Best of luck!

P.S. I can’t wait until you make the multiboxer friendly versions …

I have been using youJame,

I have been using you guides for the last 2 years on my characters and I have been very very happy with them, however, I am again concerned that you might not continue the remaining Northrend guides. Outlands guides covering half of Netherstorm and all of Shadowmoon were promised but never done. I hope this won;t be the same for ZulDrak onwards 🙁

We, myself and many other loyal users are hoping you could/would someday soon release them and maybe even revisit Outlands for the remaining sections.

Your guides are very well written and are really amazing in detail. They are an incredible help specially for those new to the World of Warcraft who are now able to make the best use of their time and still enjoy the game through the clarity of how you have optimized questing and we are all praying you will continue to do what you have been doing best, writing wonderful guides 😉

More power 🙂

Thanks for the great guides Jame!Like to echo the many posts here – yoour guides are awesome. Just finished Grizzly Hills with my team (I multibox) and have 3 79’s and a 78.

First two weeks of WotLK I didn’t use your guide (don’t know why – used them all Horde & Alli for all my other toons (30+??)) and almost quit – between the lag and the confusion… But then I saw the light & really have to thank you for laying out the landscape & pointing the way.

Keep pushing – this is truly awesome.

check out the addon project in the meanwhileHi,

I was also waiting for the next guide to be released. And since the 15th of January was mentioned by Jame I was getting quite impatient. BUT, then I started following the James blog and noticed what a big project is handled at this moment.

Jame has managed to bring together a huge community of people willing to spend their sparetime to form something really unique. Transforming all the top quality guides into an addon version will save them all a place in (at least my personal) WOW history.
I myself tried the 1-12 guide for humans just to farm rep with stormwind and it really worked out perfectly.

That way I stopped waiting for the Zul’Drak guide and started enjoying the addon project. Everyone should try it.

I am a bit disappointed toI am a bit disappointed to see the WOTLK leveling guides being pushed back to a much later date. In my opinion, the players who are trying to level from 1 – 76 already have the paper version to follow, while those who already finished Jame’s Grizzly Hills guides have nothing to go on.

However, that is just my personal opinion, and I am very grateful that I do have Jame’s guide to follow from 71-76.

Now I just have to rely on questhelper and wowhead to pull me through Zul’Drak to Icecrown.

Noooooo, embrace the darkNoooooo, embrace the dark side. Level an alt with the addon while waiting for the last WotLK chapters! 😉

• img
Fév 16, 2009 @ 20:39

already didWell… I finished Grizzly Hills on my DK at level 77. While waiting for Zul’Drak to release I’ve started 2 new toons (mage and priest). Now they are both level 73 going through Howling Fjord. I have another druid character at Dragonblight stage. And currently my DK is level 80 going into Icecrown on my own because I need to open up all the dailies so I can get some money.

At the rate I level, I think I will have all my toons to 80 well before May hits, and I am not going to pay 600g for epic land mount training for yet another alt. (I’m already pretty broke as it is.)

While this may be a disaster for me to wait for Jame’s leveling guides to release, it is prove to how effective Jame’s leveling guides are.

Fév 16, 2009 @ 20:31

Well, if some othersWell, if some others (possibly myself?) work really hard on the Horde stuff and make it almost perfect, Jame will have hardly any work to do on it! I am true Hordie at heart, and would love to help out on that side. For the Horde! 😉

I too have been using Jame’sI too have been using Jame’s guides since before BC, and have thoroughly enjoyed using them, seeing parts of Azeroth I would have missed otherwise, while at the same time leveling efficiently and quickly.

And while I love the addon – (I’m using it extensively on my alts) – I’m also disappointed that new material isn’t being released prior to re-releasing old material in a new handier format. It’s akin to your favorite television show not making more episodes, but re-releasing current ones in 3D or in HD with Dolby. 🙂

I used QuestHelper through Sholazar Basin and that “worked” I guess, but it seemed like I was flying around a lot. And after Sholazar Basin, Storm Peaks and Icecrown do not even have generic guides yet – let alone the finer quality of Jame’s guides.

Ideally, it would be great if Jame were to kill two birds with one stone, and create the guides for SB, SP and IC, but create them from scratch in QH. Then he would be creating the guides for the last 3 zones, but also working on the add-on. 🙂

Thanks for your had work, in all aspects of your guides Jame, and I look forward to seeing the next addition in whatever format.

Fév 17, 2009 @ 16:34

You make decent points, butYou make decent points, but you need to take things into perspective.

1. If you’re not level 80 (or dang close) by the time you finish Jame’s Grizzly Hills guide, then you’re either doing LITERALLY ZERO 5-mans along the way as well as killing the BARE MINIMUM amount of mobs while questing. My enhancement shaman followed his guides, first for Borean Tundra, then for Howling Fjord, then for Dragonblight, and finally for Grizzly Hills. Doing just two 5-mans per level, I reached level 80 being only a third finished with Grizzly Hills.

2. If you’re not able to at least partially navigate new zones without a guide by the time you have used Jame’s guides in previous zones and played the game for a few years, then you’re not learning anything new at all, only following directions like a robot.

3. Jame’s guides are indeed of quality, but that means they take A LOT OF TIME to make, especially if he’s working alone on them. I calculate that releasing one new zone guide (that is, for just Horde or just Alliance, not both) of Jame’s quality every 3 months is quite a lot of work, yet Jame has been releasing material far faster than that. Oh, and it’s FREE!

4. Perhaps Jame could use some help on his material? Wouldn’t hurt to ask. Ideally, you would.

• img
Fév 17, 2009 @ 20:35

Good points also, but noGood points also, but no need to scold. I think he was simply offering his opinion as a user of the guides, which is valuable. Incidentally, I hit 80 in Dragonblight >_< but I instanced my butt off, being resto specced.

• img
Fév 18, 2009 @ 6:49

1. I don’t believe I1. I don’t believe I mentioned not being able to level to 80 past Jame’s guides. I followed Jame’s Death Knight Guide, particularly his fantastic advice of not venturing into Outland until 60+ and not hitting Northrend until 70+ and was able to hit 80 just past Grizzly Hills. I didn’t do as you apparently did and hit each instance multiple times, but I did hit the majority of the instances once to complete the quests and gear up as I went. (And a tip for all you Death Knights – if you’re going to pick up gathering skills, do so as soon as you exit the DK starting area – as the longer you wait, the more zones you’ll need to revisit – I didn’t pick mine up until close to 70.)

2. I’m able to navigate new zones without a guide, thanks for your concern. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t prefer to make sure I complete each quest along the way for the achievements and additional income – not to mention the reputation gains along the way. As far as learning anything new at all – I don’t necessarily play the game to learn(?) – so I’m honestly not sure what you’re going for here.

3. As I mentioned in my post, (and other posts) in my opinion Jame’s guides are _the_ best guides out there – period, surpassing in quality the guides that people try and sell for money. I have never questioned the dedication and time it takes Jame to create these fantastic guides. However, I do think you underestimate his guide creating speed and ability (I think he was averaging a new zone every two weeks, and not three months as you suggested.

4. If by help you mean create new guides – I’m sorry in advance but I don’t have that kind of time. I have found that sending as many people to this site, and recommending these guides to other guild members, friends, etc. is more rewarding than creating an account just to flame someone who was merely stating his opinion though. Ideally.

I too was disappointed inI too was disappointed in the beginning to find out the chapters for the last zones will be out in a couple of months. But I understand the huge amount of work that implicates creating the guides.. not having any myself available, I’ll jsut stay quiet and wait patiently 🙂
I’ll hit 80 today or tomorrow, just having finished Grizzly so I’m not going to complain. It will even be fun to check out if I missed out some quests, and to see how many of my alts will have leveled. Putting in some comment if I find a line or 2 that need to be changed.
And spreading the word ofcourse 🙂

To be honest Jame, ITo be honest Jame, I would’ve preferred you to give a release date, even if it was mid-june 😛

I’m wondering to what extent Ulduar will be dependent on Storm Peaks questing, which has me slightly worried…

Although I feel that for the shoulder enchants, I have to do the Sons of Oh-Dear quest chain, but I’ll be carefully writing them all down, to allow me to tick them off as soon as I get my hands on your Ulduar guide 😛

Hello James,

I just wantedHello James,

I just wanted to add a comment to that news. I’m a complet fan of your guide as there are in my opinion the best around.

And I have to say that I was waiting quiet a lot for the rest of Northrend guides comming every day to see if a new one was out. So I’m quiet disapointed to see they will “perhaps” come only end of may.

To be honest, I’m not interested at all in the addon versions (but it’s only my tasts). Don’t you think it would have been more efficient to finish first the guides for all areas than working on another thing ?

Anyway, keep the good work James. I will for sure come back end of may to see if something move on the paper/screen versions of the guides.

James is the bestI just wanted to say thank you for the effort you have put into the guides and addons. I have used them since the release of BC and what a difference they have made. The addon is a trip to use and works well. I look forward to the new releases that are planned.

I was bummed to see that it wont be until May for the last 3 levels of WotLK but I don’t mind because I hit 80 halfway thru the last one with 2 of my toons.

BTW I bought a guide and leveled 2 locks using theirs and yours and yours was a full day faster to 70!

Keep up the great work and I will keep sending people here for what I consider the best guides available.

Just a SuggestionI personally think that the rest of 70-80 should be prioritized before the perfection of the other guides. Otherwise, I think it’s great that you have a specific schedule for all the difficulties you have to tackle.

P.S.: Move Dragonblight speed testing back one day (the 16th) so it will land on my birthday. 😛

I didn’t mean to sound rude or target you alone.

Status quo?Hi,

does anyone know if the leveling guides are still tested and updated?

According to the schedule we should be at:

“25th March: Alliance Leveling Addon: Jame’s Zangarmarsh (Addon Revamp)”

By know, we have not even reached:

“25th February: Alliance Leveling Addon: Jame’s 30-40 (Addon Revamp)”

According to the arsenal “Holyjame” ist still level 31.

I love Jame’s guides and I am just interested to know if there ist still hope to see some more of them?

• img
Mar 25, 2009 @ 14:14

Jame has had a bunch ofJame has had a bunch of stuff going on in RL lately and hasn’t been able to devote as much time to testing the guides. However, an army known as the WoW-Pro community is working night and day to make them as perfect as possible for Jame’s approval 😉 You can see the most updated files and who’s working on what on this page.

EDIT: Oops, I reallized I didn’t exactly answer your question. Jame *is* planning on continuing his testing and then writing the new guides (as far as I know!) – it’s just been delayed a bit.

DragonblightIt seems the Dragonblight guide for the addon exists somewhere (because some users have been testing it), but I can’t find it for the life of me. I have everything up to it, and I have Grizzly Hills, but I don’t have Dragonblight. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Ummm….I’m assuming you’re asking about Alliance side.

I too have seen the Dragonblight guide linked twice (two different authors), but I can’t remember where. I have downloaded both and have made modifications to one of them (I can’t remember which). I put a post on the Works in Progress page, but haven’t heard back about what they’re going to do.

As you can see (if you wouldAs you can see (if you would actually read the page you posted on) the Northrend guides have been postponed in favor of the leveling addon. That said, Jame is a bit behind in his planned revamps, due to a lot of RL stuff that has come up.

Regardless, Jame (and everyone else working on the addon and the other guides on the site) is doing this for FREE. In our free time, when we aren’t actually playing WoW. If you are not satisfied with the speed of our progress, feel free to sacrifice your own time to speed it up 🙂

hmmdrats i cant do -x karma yet….
maybe you can try and rent jame to do it for money. enough to let him take on enough free hours to finish it instead of trashtalk on someone whom invests so much time and effort for us to take pleasure and ease from without even charging us 🙂

To all the idiots complainingI can’t believe people are complaining about the release dates. STFU!! OK, imagine you are Jame, you have all this work to do, perfecting your guides, Making the guides, making the add-ons. And, on top of that, he has real life stuff to do. AND if he somehow has time left in his day, he can play WoW, or go out etc. You know how long it takes and how time consuming this is? And, he does it all FREE! Why would you complain about getting AMAZING guides FREE? If you are trying to get 80 REALLY fast, you will most likley hit 80 when you finish Jame’s guides. Even if you did not hit 80, you can run instances or are very close to 80. So everyone complaining needs to stop crying.
Great job on the guides Jame. Keep up the good work.

I have used all yer guides on this char, dinged 80 in the mid of the grizzly hills guide. I really hope u make deasent money for all the work u do. Im 42 years old and not at all an addicted, so I probably would have given up in the mid 40:s or so if it was´nt so easy to just go on…

Ty mate for all the work u done. I owe u some!!
( contributes are on the way)

(The game begins at 80, so im lookin fwd for the high end guides )

Found a zul’drak guideNote Jame’s, but similar.

Mai 19, 2009 @ 5:24

Used Before….I’ve actually used that guide a couple of times and sent errors in the author. He fixed the errors the first time but hasn’t changed anything after the last couple of e-mails. I used a couple of guides for Sholazar and Stormpeaks from Allakhazam (sp?). They were OK but didn’t have any pictures….I like pictures…..

Jame and the crowd here are MUCH more friendly!!!! I’m actually trying the Sholazar guide that comes with TourGuide for my current run. It’s been OK so far….

The current errors aren’tThe current errors aren’t too bad, it could use co-ords, but I got the “do 100” quests achievement and caught all the quests in the zone, something that is easy to miss (especially the bread crumb quest in the Dalaran Sewers).

I’m a tailor, so the more or less all quests in zone achievement is important to me. Zul’Drak is one people complain about all the time.

Pictures were good, though not as good as Jame’s. But the circuits were pretty solid.

Anyway, I’m now trying to get the Sholazar Basin achievement, hope the next in the ping series doesn’t lead me wrong.

I was going to level a mage to 80 while waiting on Jame, but the mage doesn’t quite do it for me, I don’t like the rogue or warrior. I wanted a druid, but not a night elf. Thinking of a death night or a paladin next.

Jame’ you are the best!

James Is My Hero!So James, i have been following your guides for eternity, and they took me from a reluctant WoW player to an avid player. Your guides are amazing, i would never have made it to 80 without them (im working on my second 80!) Anyway, I am so pumped for the release of zuldrak because that’s usually where ding 80, but good luck with the addons and i think an admin mentioned some real-life stuff that came up so good luck with that too!

WoW <3 James!!!

:Dto avoid questing without having a guide, what i do is level up and i stay in outlands untill i’ve cleared all areas (not all quests, but the majority of them)
sure it takes longer technicly, but i avoid getting stuck on slower levelling when im done in grizzly hills. (and for me, playning on a pvp server, its also the safest :p theres barely any people in netherstorm these days)

even though this is my 6th level 80..

jame’s guides are awesome.

my priest is currently level 72, and soon done in netherstorm (wearing 10% more xp shoulders) – then hitting the newly released shadowmoon valley guide, and when im done there, ill do the rest of northrend, and to finish it all off, im gonna complete all quests in all areas when i hit level 80, just for the gold income.

the reason i mainly did the outlands quests was coz i needed green items to disenchant for my enchanting skills 😛
and cloth for tailoring

it all worked out perfectly!

If you want to do something to help in the meantime, become a tester for the addon! 🙂

Go to the works in progressGo to the works in progress page to see what is currently being worked on, pick a section where you have a character and that isn’t currently being worked on, and post a comment saying you’re testing. Take detailed notes of any mistakes or bugs you find. For more info, see the how to contribute page, it explains in detail 🙂

As far as I know, Jame’sAs far as I know, Jame’s still busy with RL. I’m hoping he’ll return soon. The addon itself is moving along okay without him, since we’re mostly refining his previous work. We’ve had some awesome users release high quality guides along the same lines of Jame’s guides (the Shadowmoon Valley guide, for instance). Keep checking the works in progress section to get updates on the addon.

For the rest of the WoW-Pro users – I’m going to try to contact Jame and see if I can get permissions to do an update of the live version of the addon, since we have quite a few sections updated that have not been included yet. I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for info and goodThanks for info and good that James is busy IRL. I really appreciate these guides and was hoping to see the end of Wotlk guides one day. I still beleive to concentrate on the addon version of the guides before finnishing the paper/screen version of all the areas of Wotlk was a mistake. I’m a little bit sad it will probably never come before next expension. Anyway. Thanks a lot for the great work James and friends. 😉

Still no news ?Hey there ! Any news from James ? Is he alright ? Just asking as he seems to be really off line from a long time now :).
Do you have any information to give us about the 3 last guides for Northrend ? Can we still expect them one day or we should just know it will never come ?

I just don’t know. Jame hasI just don’t know. Jame has continued to tell me that he will be back, and he does drop a line occasionally when something interesting happens on the site, but I have no idea when he plans to return or if/when the last guides will come out.

I know we all miss him and hope he comes back soon, but when I talked to him last it sounded like he was entering a very busy and interesting time in his life and I don’t blame him for letting the site take a lower priority. All I can hope is that he’ll be back eventually 🙂

I’m sure most have heard the rumors about Cataclysm. I just found some stuff on MMO-Champion that will change up the guides again….Sigh….

Yeah, I don’t want to evenYeah, I don’t want to even worry about this until we hear official stuff from Blizzard. I hate most of the expansion info posted at MMO-Champion, and I really hope some of it is false. There is some of conjecture from commenters that it’s actually a misinformation campaign by Blizz, and for once I’m hoping those conspiracy theorists are right. 😛
