Huh?

Most of your answerHuh?

Most of your answer must be directed to someone else I guess 🙂

Either that or you have some serious skills (even though they fail since
I most definately am using the WoW-pro guides) in distance-mind-reading since
you can by no means draw that conclusion from what I wrote…

Anyway, the last part answered my question good enough so I am satisfied for now.

• img
Nov 18, 2009 @ 16:57 pm

Hmmm, unless you are usingHmmm, unless you are using Scoot’s addon guides, I am a little worried that you have actually not been using our guides with the addon. WoW-Pro doesn’t have any officially guides past Grizzly Hills. So I think you may have been using the default tour guide guides.

All of our guides say “WoW-Pro” in the title. But maybe you already knew this and were just using the tour guide ones to fill in the holes!

As to your question, Jame has been pretty busy in RL lately and hasn’t been writing guides. It’s possible he’ll get some done before the expansion hits, but its more likely that, if he does come back to guide writing, we’ll only see Cataclysm guides for a while.

Great Scott! It’s good to be admin!

On a more serious note, this is my favorite site and it has helped me enjoy WoW even more. You have put in an amazing amount of work, and it is truly appreciated!

Jiyambi has done a great job keeping this site rolling and I love that everyone is willing to help. I hope to have the knowledge to contribute soon, but until then, I’ll keep testing.

Keep hitting 88 mph, and whatever else it takes to keep up the good work! 😀

The real reason is: I can time travel!

This is a lua file, it isThis is a lua file, it is impossible for it to hack you. If you are using an auto-downloader or opening .exe files, that can possibly compromise your computer. Somehow a keylogger made it’s way onto your system. However, the lua file downloaded from this site cannot do anything outside of wow (after you’ve already entered your password) so there is no way it could have hacked you.

I suggest getting some anti-virus and anti-spyware programs, and also getting an authenticator, to help prevent these type of issues.

Hmm, unfortunately I’m notHmm, unfortunately I’m not very familiar with the guides and/or coding on the Alliance side. Has it done this with other quests, or are these three the only problems? My advice for now would be to try uncheck the completed steps, and if that doesn’t work just be extra careful to open the guide and complete each step for this section. It *shouldn’t* be doing this as long as you are allowing it to auto-complete the quest accept steps, and hopefully the next section of guide will not exhibit this issue. Sorry I don’t have more helpful advice 🙁

–Thanks for your reply. 🙂

In this case, I accepted the quest ”Mudrock Soup and Bugs” in Dustwallow Marsh 38-40 (Alliance), however the progress has already been checked, even though I am steps ahaid of that phase of the guide. When I scroll down I see that 2 other quests, and this one, I am on now as well are also already turned in..even though thats near to te actual end of the guide.

Any ideas? 🙂

Thank you again,

This happens because you areThis happens because you are checking off a step you have no actually done yet. Tour Guide gets really confused when you do this, and checks off the follow ups to it as well, assuming that since the quest is not in your log, you must already have done it. If this is NOT the case, please let me know if there is a specific quest giving you trouble or is it all of them?

Basically, try being sure to allow Tour Guide to automatically check off the quest accept step after you get the quest, rather than checking it off yourself. If it still is doing what you describe, or doesn’t automatically check off the accept quest, it means there is either something wrong with the coding or you are somehow accepting the wrong quest (perhaps the wrong step in a chain). Please give us some more details about what’s going on and I’ll do my best to help 🙂

Auto-check?Hey!

I really like this AddOn, use it to level all my alts. However, whenever I accept a quest, it also checks turning it in & the progress (for example: kill mob x at location y). This way I cant use the arrows…which is very annoying and basically takes out the use of the AddOn. Anyone know a way to fix this?

Thank you in advance

I CAN NOT! confirm it since I’ll never buy any leveling guides tho the screen shot shows a guide very similar to james.

Well, maybe this does notWell, maybe this does not belong to this page, but I’ve recently started a Dreanei, and I’m going through Snowflake’s Guide 1-12, and so on to Sven’s 13-20 Guide, etc.

So far, I’m level 12 with 3 hours 40 minutes /played!!
Things that could be reason to why I was ‘behind’ Holyjame’s leveling speed where:

I’m a hunter – The Pet class quest did take some time.

A waypoint were bugged, it telled me to go through the whole land, when the quest giver was very close to me – I wasted 15 minutes there.
I will start working on Sven’s guide today 🙂

Addon co-ordsGreat addon and an excelent guide loving it 😀

(6days /played at level 70 with my new Enhancement Shaman)

Just like to point out… that for the Thassarian quests in Borean Tundra, the arrow points you to the wrong place… while the lightheaded co-ordinates appear to be correct…

Also seems the co-ords for a few quest starters are missing…. so far i’ve just had to click them as checked and move onto the next one hoping that they’re not part of a big chain…. (XP hasn’t really been a problem due to this… although I suspect having 20% increased XP from BoA gear might be helping there)

Absolutely fantasticJame,
I’ve addicted to leveling, and so far have 2 80’s, several 70’s, and I just started a new hunter a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been using one of the more popular leveling guides (which isn’t free), and I was getting tired of the repetition, so I decided to install your addon guide, and I can’t tell you how angry I am that I wasted money on the paid guide. Yours is SO MUCH BETTER! It’s so simple to set up, and all the quest stacking makes sense and is easy to follow. The toon I’m currently working on with your guide is lvl 62, and I’ve been getting 200K experience/hour! Really amazing work. Thanks so much for putting in all the time and effort.

You rock!

P.S. I created this account solely to let you (and everyone else) know that your guides are simply the best. Thanks again!

The ones that don’t sayThe ones that don’t say WoW-Pro are not from this site, and were not written by Jame. They are guides that come with the addon Tour Guide (which we didn’t write – we just use it to bring our guides into the game).

Basically – use the guides with “WoW-Pro” in the title, unless there isn’t a guide for the zone you want (such as Sholazar or Storm Peaks).

Hey Jame
Thanks for theHey Jame
Thanks for the addon to the tourguide. I’ve been using it for quite a while and love it. Not sure this has been answered yet, after the 3.2 patch when opening the guides, it shows |WowPro with author, zone and level in the top half, but the bottom half just shows zone and level. What is the difference between the top half with |Wow Pro and the other bottom half guides? I wasn’t sure which one to use. Thanks for your answer.

Minor GlitchIn the Grizzly Hills section of the guide addon, whenever it sends you to talk to Samir (ie, for the quest turn ins for Troll Season and Filling the Cages), the waypoint that gets sent to TomTom is *way* off…..it is putting the waypoint somewhere off the coast of Howling Fjord.

This may just be an issue with my machine, but it is always setting that waypoint to the exact same place.

Missing AddonsHello,

Since 3.2 came out I’ve found out some Alliance guides are missing. All addons with an authors name are missing, and Alliance LvL 35 is missing from the list I am following (no author). It has 34 with Desolace, then skips to 36 in Stranglethorn.

Well I tried using thisWell I tried using this excellent guide for my way through the Eversong Woods and the Ghostlands, and I really only encountered two problems. The first was:

After following the guide all the way to the ‘War on Deathholme’ quest it seemed I were ‘far’ behind on experience point to be at the 20th level. I had indeed killed everything on my way thoruhg the guide, and had even completed my class-quest-chain. I had almost half a bar till the next level, so I saw the suggested grinding session as quite a long one.

The second problems was that somewhere you had misspelled the word ‘boat’ and wrote ‘baot’ instead. this was at the quest to retrieve the Kel’Dorei plans from that little island in the Ghostlands.

Well I hope you can use this input to make the guide even better. Right now it’s REALLY good – at least for my taste. Quite nice and smooth.

Just a thanksI just have to say, this is the most amazing addon I’ve found thus far for WoW. The time and effort put into this must be staggering for what is essentially a charity project for new players (and altoholics like me) and I can’t possibly thank you enough. But if you will, try and imagine what it would have been like if I *had* thanked you enough. That’s what I’m aiming for.

Thank you.
