Introduction
Ok first things first! This guide has been especially optimized for FAST leveling with MINIMUM grinding sessions. We will use quests because:
- They give good items for your level
- Good cash rewards
- Get Reputation with your factions
- Much more enjoyable!
You may hear people say grinding much faster and yes of course it is but these people are the minority of the World of Warcraft playing audience. The majority enjoy quests more than grinding. That is why this guide revolves around quests more than grinding sessions. If you follow this guide, you will level just as fast as grinders do by going to the right quest givers and places to become more efficient at leveling. Just give it a go and im sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
Also, the guide isn’t just for newbies to World of Warcraft. Its great for the more experienced of the game to level alternative characters! I have tried to keep instructions short and brief so its minimum reading time and maximum leveling!
Have friends you wanna level with? No Problem! The guide is compatible to solo and to group up.
So without further ado, let’s get started!
General Tips
- Try to always log out at an inn for rest exp
- Get some bags as early as you can to save time
- Don’t waste time searching for a group for quests mentioned in this guide unless you really cant kill an objective or monster needed
- Trade skills won’t be mentioned that much in this guide
- Use your talent points on the talents where you will be doing the most damage
- If you are spending many hours on one level, you must be doing something wrong. Check back on what you’ve done and what’s next to do
- The guide doesn’t take into account any aspects of PvP
Useful Addons
A good addon is Cartographer which can be downloaded here. This addon reveals all the map to you on the map screen so you can see where you are going. It also has a coordinate addon too which you can use and is very compatible with this guide. Note: Because you can see the whole map, doesn’t mean you have explored it all, you will still gain experience when entering the area if not been there before.

Level 1
Firstly, watch the intro video if you really want to 😛 Otherwise press Escape to begin.
Right as you appear, we will do a very quick grinding session. All you have to do is grind the wolves and troggs behind you until you are Level 2
(Collector’s Edition Only)
If you bought the Collector’s Edition of the Game, then you will have a Gift Voucher in your inventory. Right Click this voucher to start [1] Welcome!
Level 2
Now we have done a short grinding session, accept the quest from Sten Stoutarm called [1] Dwarven Outfitters.
Go kill Ragged Young Wolves in the same place as we grinded at level 1 until you have 8 Tough Wolf Meat.
Now head back to Sten Stoutarm and hand in the quest. Get the follow ups [3] Coldridge Valley Mail Delivery. There is also a quest called [1] Consecrated Rune or something simular. The name of the quest will depend on your class. Also get the quest [2] A New Threat from Balir Frosthammer.
Head south back to the troggs from the short grinding session and kill 6 Rockjaw Troggs and 6 Burly Rockjaw Troggs. Once finished, hand in the quest to Balir Frosthammer.
You should be level 3 by now
Level 3
Now we are level 3, we will head to Anvilmar at coords 28,69. While your here, hand in your quest simular to or the same as [1] Consecrated Rune to your class trainer. If you havent vendored your not needed items already, vendor them for cash to learn new skills from your trainer. Also repair your items while in Anvilmar.
Accept the following quests:
- [3] A Refugee’s Quandary from Felix Whindlebolt(Warlock Only)
- [4] Beginnings from Warlock Trainer
If you are a Warlock, go and complete your quest in the starting area to get your Imp Warlock Pet! This will help you alot to kill monsters faster than on your own.
Otherwise, head west to 22,71 and hand in [3] Coldridge Valley Mail Delivery to Talin Keeneye. Get the two follow up quests [4] Coldridge Valley Mail Delivery and [4] The Boar Hunter.
The best thing to do now is to kill 12 Small Crag Boar right behind the tent and then hand in the quest back to Talin Keeneye.
With that done, head south down the road to Grelin Whitebeard and hand in [4] Coldridge Mail Delivery and get the follow up [4] The Troll Cave. Ignore the quest from Nori Pridedrift just for the moment. We will accept this quest later.
Now we have new quests, head to 20,76 and kill any Frostmane Troll Whelp that get in the way of picking up Felix’s Box in the middle of the camp.
Then head to the next troll camp at 22,80 and do the same again but this time loot Felix’s Chest.
Finally, go to the last troll camp/cave entrance at 26,79 doing the same again one more time and looting Felix’s Bucket of Bolts. If you haven’t already, finish killing 14 Frostmane Troll Whelp for the quest.
Run back to the Dwarf Camp north of the last troll camp and hand in [4] The Troll Cave to Grelin Whitebeard.
If you aren’t at least 7 bars into level 4 yet, do a short grinding session on Frostmane Troll Whelp or Small Crag Boar until you are.
Level 4
Accept the follow up quest from Grelin Whitebeard called [5] The Stolen Journal. But before we do this quest we will now accept the quest from Nori Pridedrift called [5] Scalding Mornbrew Delivery.
By accepting this quest, a 5 minute should have appeared. Don’t worry too much about this because it is possible to complete this quest in 1 minute. Just run back to Anvilmar at 28,69 and hand this quest into Durnan Farcutter at the back of the place. Get the follow up named [5] Bring Back the Mug.
While we are here in Anvilmar:
- Hand in [3] A Refugee’s Quandary to Felix Whindlebolt
- Sell Junk in bags
- Repair Items
- (Optional) Learn tradeskills with your money such as cooking
A tip at this point is to not buy any armor or weapons for yourself. It is a waste of money because you will be getting armor and weapons from quests as you progress through the game.
Next we want to return to Nori Pridedrift and hand in [5] Bring Back the Mug
You should be level 5 by now. Otherwise, grind on either Small Crag Boar or Frostmane Troll Whelp until you are.
Level 5
Now we are level 5, head southeast until you come to the troll cave at (26,79). Clear your way into the tunnel until you reach a fork in the passage leading to 3 tunnels. Turn left, and clear again andthen at the next fork, go straight on. Eventually you should come to a room with a frozen lake in the middle and a walkway around it. Clear the mobs in your way as you progress onwards until you reach Grik’nir the Cold. Kill this mob and loot Grelin Whitebeard’s Journal. Carry on grinding for a short period on these mobs until you reach about 3 bars away from level 6.
Tip: When you come close to the grinding target, start to exit the cave and kill respawns. It will speed up your time leveling and getting out of the cave!
After grinding and exiting the cave, return to Grelin Whitebeard and hand in the quest [5] The Stolen Journal
This should make you level 6
